- A flying guide for Wynncraft's Assassin Archetype "Acrobat"! Included are the ability trees for early, midgame, and endgame alongside some builds.
imo Acrobat is the most fun out of the assassin archetypes, so I wanted to make a video about it!
check pinned comment-- someone commented about how the ability "Stronger Lacerate" plays into getting launched strong enough to take fall damage while doing the fall damage training challenge

I showed that I used morph set to record the video. That was meant to display that "you do not actually need an insane build to use Acrobat", as making a build better than Morph Set is not hard to accomplish.

When you get more ability points. just go for whatever ability interests you the most. Pirouette is available in 2 ability points. Multi hit and smoke bomb cost reduction are also available. Blazing Powder good for Lacerate damage

Dancing Blade and Pirouette is interchangeable with Righting Reflex. Depends on preference.
Pirouette is easier to learn so that's the default for my builds
Played around and tried adding in some memes to keep things moving. I put a tiny bit of effort into timing the music so it hits better lol

Ok, so I just realized. At lvl 48 it's pretty hard to get the timing right since you don't have the 4 hits on lacerate yet and it took me like 10 minutes just to get one fall damage hit, but as soon as you reach lvl 50 or 52 with 4 lacerate hits it's very easy to do that "practice" thing you told about as the timing is much easier. Got all 3 fall damage consecutive hits as soon as I got 4th lacerate hit ability point.

oh, interesting Stronger Lacerate... Let me try that out to see if you're on to something and if i need to correct myself
you are actually so correct, let me make some changes. Most I could get was 2 consecutive fall damage and that was with like 10 minutes. Turning on Stronger Lacerate, I got it in the first 20 seconds lol
A fun extra tip (besides the liftoff-dash):
You can fly much faster in the air by replacing hop with dash; when lacerate boosts you upwards, use dash, and you will just like zip forward. You still use hop, but in between the two lacerate movements. Here’s the combo I use: Lacerate-hop- then dash when it launches you up.
You won’t gain as much height, and it uses more mana with this method, but it gives much more horizontal mobility and is very fun in combat. Hope this helps!
Great vid! The best use I've personally found for Righting Reflex is to glide back to the spot where Walljump decided to yeet me into the stratosphere :)

there's some things i left out, since i'm not experienced with them: there's some fun mechanics with how jump height or dash momentum can be added to Lacerate for an off-the-ground takeoff-- just like how Hop momentum adds to Lacerate. cool stuff

in case you don't know, pirouette also resets dash so you can dash upwards after triggering pirouette

Advanced technique, lacerate can be used to almost instantly switch direction, only really useful in pvp but I am bad at pvp just watch to wcfc to see how bad I am.
Here's some more useless info I have. I use vanish on acrobat instead of funny projectile because I personally prefer getting up close and personal and abducting mobs like a ufo with blade fury which is why I have a bruiser build going on. I use greed which is why I get close and personal with magnet to heal, you can solo church grind with greed. another thing about vanish it is good for getting out of situations where might die while you are multihit weaving because you could just dash out since dash isn't a part of multihit weaving. Also I don't use the bounce because when I want to descend without touch the ground I just avoid using hop all together until I need to rise again. I just find it annoying for when I actually want to get close to the ground to pick up something or go through a cave. That's all I got for this long winded post so yeah.

im at lvl 77 and i can fly super consistently across gavel with champion set (75 TOA)
concentration (lvl 8 legendary ring, pure mana regen, or use the ring from realm of light 2, both provide mana regen but rol2 ring provides other stats as well)
bovine cuffs (i just have this as a placeholder until i find smth better, 55 mooington)

build is good, i just need a replacement for bovine cuffs
i have 104 points in intelligence and im using bobs mythic daggers(w5w5w5) (75, reincarnation requirement to use, temple of legends required to buy, long questline which requires like 14 total quests before it can be completed)

here's a tip: if you cast dash or have extra jump height, you can mix that with Lacerate to launch yourself off the ground to gain even more height right from the start :3 i do this alot in my acrobat streams

@@tag5t151 fall damage test is pretty difficult. you could skip that step to try and sustain flight without touching the ground

a huge issue i have with righting reflex is that it activates and gives you a bunch of speed when you’re crouching on the edge of a block. this makes parkour on small platforms so much harder and it caused me a lot of rage before i knew what was causing it
True! There's some niche moments where you can use that to your advantage like Ice Barrows invisible bridge section lol
Hey, do you use Wynntils keybinds? Or does that make it practically impossible? I'll be honest this seems fun but unfortunately I don't want to give myself carpel tunnel syndrome. Also, what about Psitherum, does that make it any faster or any easier?
Psithurism is pretty pointless. It gives you some jump height and walkspeed, but since it doesn't count as an Acrobat archetype it is a waste of AP.
The only keybind I use for Acrobat is R-L-R, the Wynntils keybind. You shouldnt need to spell spam *that much* but obviously, the more technique you intend to utilize, it can get pretty fast

@@isolatedegg3234 the entire part of flying is just comprehending the idea of timing Hop with Lacerate to fly. After you get comfortable with that, it will be just like normal spell spamming-- except in the air. Definitely is one out of the many archetypes to continually feel better and better with practice. It's awesome! if you want to watch something that makes your finger hurts, check out any video where I use my Arcanist Warp build lol
Question, is it still viable with the 2.0.3 patch reducing the mana gain, from 0.7 to 0.35, that weightless gives you?
Acrobat gets Better Weightless later on. they made that change because Trickster was getting more benefit out of Weightless than Acrobat, which was crazy

Wouldn't using the Poisoned Blade ability be better than using Double Slice, as Poisoned Blade increases your DPS by +50%, and it automatically applies when using abilities?
... it does? my current assumption is that it only applies to melee attacks
I've been speed leveling an assassin to try out acrobat against greg, the eye, etc and it's very fun, tho i still need to get better at timing my hops and not messing up the order and timing of spells

@@loonitick I didn't see your reply and checked the build again and thought I'd gone copmletely insane when all the items were different. That scared me haha. Thanks for the new build. Also, with the old build, I realized I was skill issuing and I became able to fly after a bit more practice. you're the best!

What is the Redbeard's Cutlass you talk about for lv 75 build, it has been delete ?
It's a legendary drop from completing Galleons Graveyard. It only drops from the air rewards after completing a dungeon, so it's very rare. You can buy one from trade market maybe

not sure if something changed, but I tried for an hour straight to do the practice thing, but I could not take fall damage a single time with 3 lacerate hits.
edit: the height for fall damage decreassed by a lot so I'm not taking fall damage anymore.
were you able to take fall damage at all?

@@RiceAllDayEveryday370 that's an unfortunate change. instead, you should look for fall landing particles. if you don't have enough momentum, the particles won't be visible. After a certain fall speed, they will. you normally should take fall damage at the same time but if they changed it then thats whatever
keep in mind you need Stronger Lacerate for it to be more consistent

Acrobat is definitely one of the most fun classes on Wynncraft. it has that satisfying learning curve that makes you feel skilled once you figure out how to actually play the class lol

It'd be counter productive for me to say it works when it definitely requires expensive builds. E.g. miniPCpro makes it work w a time rift nirvana build, but he also still knows how to play acro without it
why do I need to learn this when I can cast the spell "/fly"? seems redundant.

The hardest part in this is to not end up with one extra 'R' in the middle of the combo, in a tense situation
acrobat flying doesnt need to be clockwork, treat it like jazz and confidently go with the flow!

you can use that alongside Lacerate for a decent lift off! same idea works with Dash
@@loonitickyep! I used that to fly, because apparently gale's sight gives so much mana regeneration you can just infinitely cycle dash and lacerate + spam hop
