It fills me with an immense disgust that an anime with an opening this rad got shitcanned after only 20 something episodes and was left unfinished. The world is a cruel place
Could not be helped, toy company who bankrolled it went under during its airing and it could not get another sponsor (toys didn’t sell too well either). Cash dried up so they rushed it to a half-assed ending with a narrator expositing one of the protagonists had a wedding and they won.. somehow. Those in Japan who remember it vainly hope that the Super Robot Wars franchise can give the show a sort of proper ending, but Bandai doesn’t own the rights to it and it has fallen into obscurity, lost in a sea of failures.
