Maybe the corks could be upholstered into foot rests, add a circle top to be an end table, or maybe cut in half and add long wooden legs to be bar stools
I loved those wicker type bamboo mats; you could’ve used them for a new tiki bar or perhaps a pergola diorama. I love that Barbie turntable and building a cabinet for it would be awesome.
definitely :) i have some bamboo mats i already thrifted...a tiki bar or pergola would be cool :) i can't wait to build the cabinet for the turntable :)
I cannot get over how, while looking over hundreds of items, you seem to zero in on the best things for your home or Barbies'. Love watching your videos!!!🌼🌼
Under the music center you can put record cabinets. LPs are 2" in 1:6, the jackets a trifle larger. So they can raise it quickly. You only need a few where you can see the cover. The rest are just coloured spines racked up. Vintage doll furniture is short because manufacturers thought children had no sense of scale, and undersized was cheaper to make. Also, when dolls don't have knees, they can keep their feet closer to the ground. I avoid most of it! When you see little sauce bowls, remember they may be too big for Barbie's cereal, but a good size for a sink!
i love that idea, making a space for the albums in the cabinet :) oh, i never thought of that....about the dolls not bending their knees....they could have just made barbie shorter :) awesome idea :) its hard to look for stuff, film the stuff, think about what to do with the stuff, all while i'm standing and people are behind me :) i know i do have to focus more, especially at garage sales, because everything is so much cheaper than buying from the thrift store :) thanks so much for watching and commenting :)
Ginger, at the church I really liked the twin beds. You should have purchased it for the kiddoes. It would have worked perfectly in a Chelsey bedroom. I love the wicker chair. It will look god in a Boho room. I like the 4 black frames. (When I go to garage sales I look for small trinket boxes and use them as trunks in my Barbie bedrooms. I put them at the foot of the beds.) At the next garage sale I like the whimsical "plant stand". Too cute. I also like the little cabinets. They are a great find. I would use it in my Barbie living room at the entry for my Barbie to lay her keys and purse on when she got home from work. The draw that held the nuts and bolts - you could have purchased those to make Steam Punk furniture. I made an Alice in Wonderland Steampunk Cottage (from MDF) , with my Johnny Depp Madd Hatter and my Alice in Wonderland doll. The cottage was a challenge, as I had never made Steampunk furniture before. But, it turned out beautifully- everything is Victorian and metal fused together. It has a living room, dining room, bedroom and conservatory. My fav was the conservatory because I made the "talking flowers"". You did great with the vintage Barbie furniture. Love it!!! You do not collect Barbies, do you? You just like to create the houses and decorate? You should have been an interior designer. You will definitely add more height with the stove. I love the Sindy music center. You can definitely fix it. I have faith in you. It will look good in your Barbie living room. So, now that your Barbie is a mom you will have to build her a nursery. Suerte.
yah, i'm angry at myself for not grabbing the bunk bed, what was i thinking?? i know it would have been perfect for a kids room urgh! i have a couple of other wicker chairs, but this one is definitely my favourite :) love the little plant stand :) wow, your steampunk dioramas sounds amazing! No, i don't collect Barbies, because i have a big box full of them.... i recently did a purge and sold quite a few, but i still kept my favourites, i have another big bin full of monster high dolls as well :) the only barbies i collect now are adult collector barbies so i can use them on this channel.... i look out for ones under $100 :) i would love to create another doll series or show, i do create these dioramas and dollhouse makeovers for this channel, but don't like the fact that i have to put them away, i would love to use them in a series :) i just bought another table to display another diorama, had to lose a shelf and did some reorganization :) i actually took a handful of interior decorating courses in college....night classes, but gave up on it and got into publishing.....i have decorated friends apartments and my sister in laws houses, i have always been interested in interior design, i guess that's why i love creating these dioramas and makeovers, theres no way i could keep decorating my apartment, this way i can do it all the time in miniature, and it doesn't cost as much :) Barbie was just babysitting :) i'm almost finished the best in black diorama, just one more video and then onto a new project, the new diorama will definitely have a nursery :) thanks so much for watching and I love reading your comments :) have an awesome day my friend :)
@@GingerLolaMiniatures I would love for you to create another doll series and would love to watch it. Make is vampires and witches, like A Discovery of Witches. (ja,ja) I truly enjoy watching your videos. I always love how you put the designs together. I am a big reader and into architecture, so I find mirrored architect homes such as the homes of Doug Aitken, or Phillip K Smith simply stunning. So, then I build those houses for my Barbies with MDF. I even built mirrored furniture for my mirrored house. I built my "Sept-Tours Castle" ( A Discovery of Witches) for my Barbies with Cardboard boxes. I got a lot of the 1590s furniture for it from an Etsy shop. I built my AIW Steampunk Cottage for Barbie with the inspiration of Johnny Depp's Mad Hatter. I built my Pink Pop Barbie house from MDF based on the studio of Mark Ryden, the artist. I built my Jean-Michel Basquiat house from cardboard boxes based on Basquiat's blue period. The house is shades of blue. I used marquetry- I looked for free pictures of Basquiat's work, printed them, cut them out and glued them on the furniture pieces. Beautiful. All the furniture and paintings and walls are blues with Basquiat paintings inlayed on them. I built my Lilo and Stitch Barbie Hut because I was inspired by one of my friend's little girl who absolutely loves Lilo and Stitch. As I built a two story house for her, I decided to build one room hut for myself. I used a hula skirt from the Dollar Store to make the outside of the "grass hut". Little things inspire me to create. When I get in that mood my kids and grandkids know to "leave abuela alone. She is building a Barbie house." I hate it if I have to take them down, that is why I give them away to my friends daughters and grand daughters. It is a very relaxing hobby, and I love to see how it turns out in the end. Sometimes I can create in a day, and sometimes it takes a year. But, it is the ending that says it all - Albert Einstein said, "Creativity is seeing what others see and thinking what no one else ever thought." I see a piece of MDF wood and a cardboard box and I see soooooo many possibilities. Be blessed.
I would love it too, seems a shame to have all these sets and not create a series, i have been watching a show called Ghosts, the US version, and i love it, i was thinking of something like that, draculaura would be the 'ghost' but not a ghost, she would be a vampire and has to hide it....something like that, so hard finding time though :) your creations sound so amazing.... i love interior design, mostly design my spaces depending on the materials i have, and colour.... i have a marilyn monroe doll i want to create a dioarama apartment for, i'm thinking for her apartment i want to make it look glamorous but i want to try to add warmth to it as well....i also want to create a boho style apartment.... and maybe one that looks like my apartment, i have a lot of black and white, plus warm it up with wood tones, and i sprinkle blue throughout the apartment :) thank you so much Sharon :) be blessed my friend :)
