well, the price difference is significant for a small business, most of whom should be spending their money wisely instead of on pricey luxury signage.
@@mannym2174 Hi Manny, when you say 'etch' what exactly do you mean? I've been looking but all I can find is the etching paste which doesn't seen to do anything more than frost the glass. Or are you adding mica flakes to the etching paste? Thanks in advance.
Tim Sandiford I use “armour etch” and mica flakes, you mix them together with water in a 1:1:1 ratio, you then let it sit on the the glass for minimum 25-30 mins, the more you leave it the deeper the etching effect, you can also grind your mica flakes to get different patterns ✌🏼✌🏼
The glue chipping is done with glue made from animal hide. It is heated to a certain temp and applied with a squirt bottle. As it hardens and dries out it pulls chips out of the glass. It smells really bad. Like a barnyard. Hide glue.
Hello and thank you for showing the beautiful art of glass sign making . Two questions, is it somekind of flaked acid your using and were did the green vinyl come from before you started painting? is it printed out as a mirror image from the first and how did you apply it so correctly ? :) Sorry for being nosy but you lost me there in that part :). Really nice work and better to make at home due to not to have a sandblaster. :)
@@gordongate Yes, could only be hydrofluoric acid in a paste form, i think the exposure time depends on the thickness of the glass. I know it from porcellain, where the enamel is very thin, it takes just 30 minutes to go in the material. Work with handgloves and safety glasses!
Not trying to be critical, but I see that you typed musk several times. Did you mean to type mask, or is musk being used in a way I've never heard it defined?
The acid etching is just as beautiful as glue chipping. Your painting skills are very impressive.
You are a master in your art,and I’m sure you are a good painter as well
Great, now I have a new addiction!
I'm diggin' the music was only at the end. Nice work.

Good job! Respect from Moscow👍
Absolutely beautiful!
Amazingly beautiful. Well done!
Beautiful!

How do you get fonts? Hand drawn or are they purchased from somewhere? Trying to figure out how to do this on a high-gloss piece of wood.
Professional very creative hands 🥇🏆the best
Gold foiled istemal kia hai apne
Meraviglioso❤️🇮🇹
I saw you etch, but did you also use hide glue? I didn't see that step.
my guy was very hungry by the time he started backing the gold
11:31 I thought it was my stomach at 1st. 😆
Very nice. If you slip once and get paint where you don't are you still able to save it?
What etching acid is used here?
did you find out which acid? I also wanted to know
Hello. What a great job. Which acid did you use Hydrofluoric acid ? Concentration ? Thank you for the response.
Frederic Nabet try etch with mica flakes
@@mannym2174 Thank you.

@@mannym2174 Amazing, thanks mate! I've been trying to find the best way to do this for ages!
amazing!
What acid did you use that creates the glue chip look? Very nice job by the way.
Yeah, I'm curious too.
JCJ could be etch with mica flakes

wheezer36 I glue chip, at no point did I see him glue chip, I’ve since learned this is a type of etching with mica flake and hydrofluoric acid.
Anyone notice the Yeezy Boost box? 1:23
I'd love to see this video reaching 24K thumbs-ups
Amazing.

Isn’tit precious that there is no answer? What is the brand of gold paint as well . Right?
@@rockanthems It's One Shot Lettering Enamel. Looks like Metallic gold but might be metallic brass too which is more yellow.
Really craftsman
What is water size?
Thank you
Do you remove the musk off with the paint dry or wet?
definitely wet
I like the look, without having to glue chip.
"MASK" not "MUSK"
thank heaven i wasnt the only one.
All the videos say this 🤷♂️
How can someone purchase your signs?
I looked on his instagram, says $5,000 minumn order for him to make one.
love it! respect and thanks for sharing!
wow
Do you laser cut the lettering?
no. it’s just foile cutting
WHAT KIND OF ACID DO YOU USE ? AND FOR HOW LONG DO YOU LEAVE IT ON ?
I would assume its a weak solution of hydrofluoric acid, that stuff is very nasty

What kind of vinyl are you using for the masks?
LOL Why heart my question if you're not going to answer it? Wasn't looking for a heart lol I was looking for an answer.

All your signs are mostly in English, are you making them for international customers?
I think you meant mask not musk. Mask as a face mask where musk is a class of aromatic substances.
Beautiful typography
