I sympathize rather than judge. I have almost the same exact hair, slightly more springy... and its not just some inherent nastiness, its a difficult balance between cleansing & moisturizing. Most curly products are geared toward “ethnic” hair which is more prone to dryness & breakage, so they contain all kinds of moisturizing oils & butters that tend to excessively build up on this type of curly, but finer, softer hair. There has to be some regular deep scalp cleanings (like baking soda) without risking drying out the fine strands.
I once got a haircut where the stylist said, "you have dandruff." I was shocked because I had never noticed it. And I have never heard it again from another hair cutter... So maybe it's something that comes and goes... It's not like you can control it.
