There needs to be more shows like this.
I'm a truck driver from Montreal, I was in New Mexico a couple weeks ago and they had a hockey game on tv at the truck stop, I stood there in the lounge for 2 hours and I got into that game and it wasn't even any team I liked, all along I had people come up to me and watch with me and asked me questions about the rules and such. At the end of the game, there was at least 20 people watching that game, most of them had never seen a hockey game before.
It has EVERYTHING americans love about sports; competition, speed, precision, fighting, brutal checks, finesse and non-stop action for 3 hours straight.

I still have the stick hanging in my room with all the tape and puck marks all over it. I miss those bright yellow pads he used to rock Ill never forget that night. I was a Crunch/Ducks fan until I met MAF. Ever since then ive been a die hard Penguins fan. I was so sad when he was traded to Vegas. Hockey needs more light shined on it, god bless ya Pat 🎉 I live in WV and had to drive almost an hour to the rink in Morgantown every night after school when I played. Growing up in Michigan I never knew hockey wasn’t as highly touted in the rest of the US until I moved down here. I was the only player at my whole high school and had to play for the high school that had the rink lmao. Hockey needs to be more accessible to play AND watch, and I love to see some football guys show it some love!

I was at the game where everyone on the ice got thrown out of the game. Score ended up 5-0. Worst loss for Ottawa on home ice on 5 years. It hurt to watch.
This segment helped take some of the sting out. Love it!

Rob Ray also used to sew his jersey to his chest pads and elbow pads, so that they would all come off together with little resistance (since been made illegal). Absolute Sabres legend.

During the promotion for the Fifa World cup in Russia, Fox Sports had one of the commentators from their Spanish language affiliate in the pressbox with the FS1 commentary team, as it went and they started talking to him he was saying how Mexicans would absolutely love hockey, and he even did a bit of Spanish Commentary, complete with his "Goal" shout.

What makes me so hopeful about NHLs future is that Bedards whole shtick isn't just "he's really fast" like McDavid and McKinnon gathering extreme speed through the neutral zone and turning d men into pylons is awesome don't get me wrong.... and Bedard does have above average speed for sure. But watching someone flourish with instincts, awareness and IQ now leads me to believe there is still going to be a place in the new nhl for guys who play like datsyuk or who have a release like Hull.
Thanks for the shoutout for hockey Pat. I just exist on the periphery of what you've done up til this point but you have my support going forward. Even if I'm a Redwings fan (greatest American nhl franchise) and you're a Pittsburg fan!
