Glad you're still on it :) We have confirmed that its a 1 frame technique. So crouch and jump at the correct single frame. 33ms on Nintendo Switch. 7ms on 144fps. But players like R3kt, Bulletl and now even Lyric prove to me that it can be done reliably.
Hey for anybody watching this I think I know the exact timing for the superglide , switch to third person and when you climb watch the characters feet the frame of or the frame right before they replant their feet on what you climbed press crouch and jump. Just got it 8/10 tries in the firing range and last few I knew my timing was off cause I was so excited I pulled it consistently (can't tell you exactly I'm on console)
Thank you I watched a ton of videos on this and after you said, "some say its easier to press spacebar first then crouch milliseconds after" After that i tried again, and i can now hit it 3 out of 5 times
okay. this was great dude, i kept thinking I just couldn’t get it down. but finding out how frame dependent it is and how hard it is to hit consistently is a huge relief lol I just gotta put more time in. thanks for the vid.
when you pointed out using my scroll wheel as the input instead of the spacebar, i definitely was able to do it more consistently as compared to using the spacebar, thanks for that!
I only started practicing this a couple nights ago and noticed a few things. The timing sensitivity of this move is also heavily impacted by the keyboard you are using. For the longest time I have the crouch to 'V' and space for jump with the 'V' key flipped but due to the curvature of the keys on my board, it made it impossible to hit that timing. Not only did I reset the key to its normal position but I also swapped the actions around so now the jump 'V' with its higher protrusion over the spacebar allows for a tightening up for the execution thanks to that key being slightly higher. I also run on a 165 Hz monitor but bumped everything down to 144 including the frame rate and it also seems to help. Ain't anywhere near perfect but I'm sitting at a 30-40% hit rate and steadily getting better at it. I know it's kinda late in this tech's lifespan so these points have probably already been addressed but if not, hope this helps whoever sees this.
This has been my most recent movement goal, Dazs. Definitely gonna grind this out when I can get to college internet! Thanks for the vid and keep them coming!

A few tips to supergliding more consistently: You can bind a key to multiple commands in apex. You can use this to your advantage when supergliding by binding a key to toggle your framerate to something like 25 or 30 and then bind your crouch key to uncap your frames or change the frame cap. This is what I've done and I can guarantee that you'll be able to hit superglides 10x more consistently. My personal binds are: bind "C" "+speed; fps_max 25" 0 - This toggles a sprint input (seems to help with consistency) and lowers my framerate to 25 bind_US_standard "LCTRL" "+duck; fps_max 180" 0 - This binds control to HOLD crouch and also resets my framerate to 180 (apex doesnt seem to like higher frames than this) Using scroll wheel to jump DOES work for supergliding, but you CANT spam it. I've found that extra jump inputs will KILL any additional superglide velocity you gain. A good sign that this is whats slowing you down is you seem to get a very fast initial boost that dies off almost immediately These two tips made me go from hitting one in every 30 attempts to me hitting 8 out of 10. Fair warning, using an autoconfig isn't allowed in tourneys, if messing with launch options is you can put those commands in that way, but those binds might not be allowed in tournaments (wouldnt recommend attempting a superglide in anything but pubs regardless) So please look into the rules if you plan to attempt to use these commands in comp.
@@EIsenah it's less cheaty than other methods. There are people who have configs that make a hockey toggle the scroll to automatically superglide. I can maybe hit it 3 to 4 times every 15-20 attempts which makes it unpractical enough for me to never use it in an actual gunfight. I tried using the c + spacebar method but I don't think I hit a single one in like 10 minutes of trying in the range. Every glide I've hit to date has been done using scroll wheel down to jump and my regular crouch key. What I notice when I hit them is that I have to jump THEN crouch as simultaneously inputting has never worked for me. So, it doesn't HAVE to be simultaneous but it does have to be near simultaneous enough to where hitting the timing consistently is really fucking difficult.

after a lot of practice on this subject, I believe that the superjump is MUCH easier while your jump fatigue is active, similar to how it must be active for jump-jump-tapp strafe- wall jump combos Edit: confirmed, just hit the superjump 10 times back to back, jump then 3 steps (4 steps would reset to no active jump fatigue) jump into climb, input superjump at the last moment before forward movement resumes. try climbing an item without attempting to super jump a bunch of times in order learn the timing of the exact moment forward movement resumes, that's the moment to input the jump/crouch simultaneously

How are you guys slide strafing to the right without hitting A since that finger is hitting C to perform the slide? Sorry if none of this makes sense lol.
I think this movement is for player on low end pc as we gets low frame it was really easy for me to learn it. I heard many people saying it difficult must be because they get a lot of frame. As you said daz ps4 player learn it easily it because the don't go above 60 fps
So, I watched this video after watching 2 others. Tried for maybe 10 minutes or so and really couldn't pull it off. I'm on pc btw. Watched this and noticed he capped the frame rate in steam launcher. Ok, I'll try that. The frame rate cap significantly helped or it just clicked, not sure.
Superglide tap strafe in a close quarters fight is one of the easiest ways to secure a low health opponent. I bet a controller flick strafe would be just as deadly as I never seem to commit my tap strafes to a full 180 out of a super glide.
It's so weirdly inconsistent for me. I'll get it like 4 times in a row, thinking I'm getting the hang of it, and then I won't get it again for like 20 attempts. It helped me to do it with a gun out, to get the timing right, but I'm still practicing it with mostly failed attempts lol.
I can do this semi consistently at low FPS, and inconsistently on 144. Sometimes I can do 2/3 in a row, sometimes I can't even do one in a couple hundred tries. I honestly have no clue :\
man this is the third video i've watched for this. I've been trying for a half hour. Just gonna go with "I'm being punked" and move on. feels like they patched this out or something because my mantle feels a little different at the top than in these videos. like a glitch. maybe it is.
The reason i haven't learnt supergliding is frankly because i don't feel like setting up the config files, and tbh i'm not good enough for superglides to be a defining factor
Idk if I'm allowed to say this But there is some commands with few exec files that makes this alot easier by locking the fps to 30 the moment you need to press the keys
@@Dazs It's just an autoexec file; it's no different from any autoexecs that people already use, so I don't see it being bannable in any non-tournament scene but it's better to leave it out to be on the safe side.

I can do this semi consistently at low FPS, and inconsistently on 144. Sometimes I can do 2/3 in a row, sometimes I can't even do one in a couple hundred tries. I honestly have no clue :\
when i climb up. My vel is capped to 299 which its the same speed as running. It doesn't spike at all.
Getting a kill because of super glide is so satisfying and fun to do
man this is the third video i've watched for this.
This video is learning without the config file. I know that makes more consistent. But I really did not want to do it that way.
@@Dazs honestly same here, let me look into it then
lol I watched Mokeys video about 45 times and I’m NOW just getting it down
When we getting 'Rolla inputs?
I use scroll wheel jump and crouch to SG. Works 1 out of 5 still have to get that timing down
@HyzoFNBR super glide
Idk if I'm allowed to say this
But there is some commands with few exec files that makes this alot easier by locking the fps to 30 the moment you need to press the keys
I am aware, I did not want to go through that process as I was unsure if it’s against TOS or not. To edit them to that extent.
@@Dazs Yeah good call
Wish you luck mastering this
@@Dazs It's just an autoexec file; it's no different from any autoexecs that people already use, so I don't see it being bannable in any non-tournament scene but it's better to leave it out to be on the safe side.
@@LUHARRR yeah, because you can tweak the values for 120 FOV. But unsure if that is safe to use also.
saw a random titktok vid of this movement combine with airstrafe by an octane. cool stuff
I just had just learned how to tap strafe (removed soon) do you anticipate the same will happen to this tech?
Somebody in a public match asked me if I was super gliding and apparently I was without knowing what I was doing
I have been trying this technique for about an hour now and it took me around 30 mins to make it work the first time and now at around an hour I made it work a bit more consistent (like 20-30 times out of 100) so it will take me a couple more hours to really be consistent at it.
Your tutorial was really helping me a lot and thanks to the exact explanation it luckily didn't take me 16 hours to make it work :D
This video is 8 months old glad that it still works before I spent 4 hours on something I might have thought was patched
Is it only on controller? Cause I got it my third try after seeing a tutorial
how do i get that thing where it is showing my velosity and name thing
Does it matter if you use crouch hood or press
You definitely have to tap jump first it’s very slight tho
if u cap ur fps to 120 i hit like 3 times iwthout fail idk if its just me but try it out
The way you press crouch and jump reminds me of rocket jumping.
can you use crouch toggle with this ?
