The thrifting was fun! Your shop is huge! I love how the decor/porcelain/etc was on the shelf by color. So jealous yours has sewing supplies. Mine never does. I will say that was footage from about 6 different thrift stores. But yes, the one where they color coordinate is a fun one to walk around in! I haven’t found too many things at that one but I love the way they organize it all.
That spring green floral is lovely! My money is on it being sone type of rayon or rayon blend. Impossible to know for certain without doing a fiber test though. That's a nice fabric haul! All the shades of purple is my favorite side of the color wheel. I hope you'll share pictures of what you make with the fabric ❤
Sharing what I make is definitely the plan! It may be a while before I tackle some of those fabrics though. I have a few others that were previously pulled out with plans. And I’m already behind on what I wanted to do but it’s okay. I’ve been doing a lot with my kids and they definitely take priority! I’ll get to it all eventually.
I have 3 kids and only the youngest is really noisy any more, but still he manages to sound like a heard of rampaging buffalo just walking through the house. I have no idea how he manages that, being the smallest person in our family, lol. So I hear you on the noise factor.
Oh my gosh I am so jealous of your local thrift stores!!! I moved to about a half hour from my local city and there are not any thrift stores near me aside from a Good Will. There was one near my mother's house but it closed down so then the only other local thrift store (which never carries bulk material like this), is probably a 50 minute drive now. As for what to do with those fun prints, I think that a longer dress (if you have enough material) and dolman sleeves would look wonderful. Though, I'm a sucker for dolman sleeves since I they're so loose and allow me to stretch my arms around. I hope you can post a video of you sewing your daughter a dress with the other two-toned blue material.
