You guys should bring in Antonio McDyess for the podcast. A lot of people have forgotten about him, but he was a beast when he was playing for Denver and Phoenix.
David Robinson, John Stockton, Clyde Drexler, LaMarcus Aldridge, Dale and Antonio Davis, Hakeem Olajuwon, Kevin Willis, Dennis Rodman, Joe Dumars, Chris Bosh, Karl Malone, Tim Duncan, Penny Hardaway, Kevin McHale, Bobby Jackson, Dan Majerle, Latrell Sprewell, Aaron McKie, Coach Larry Brown, Josh Smith, Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker, etc - these are the players I hope to someday see coming to the Knuckleheads Podcast.
That is funny, I was an early 2000 Kings fan. I hated Dirk, Nash and the Mavs. Those teams had some battles. I remember the series where C-Webb went down. He and that Kings team were never the same after that. Once that team disbanded I watched the 2006 NBA Finals and my hatred for Dirk became admiration. He became my favorite player and I am a MFFL.
Mike Bibby changed my life as a “Sneaker Connoisseur” The night he walked on the floor in those Royal Foams in ‘97 Title Game; That was a moment I’ll never forget. Great shoe/PE game, fantastic PG! Respect Mike!
Facts! Although they are a terrible shoe to ball in! It was a winter shoe when I didn’t want to rock boots all the time! And I heard Arizona has a closet FULL of heat from pass players!
Mike Bibby is my favorite PG ever. Watching his foot work on his jumper, had me pulling up from anywhere when I was in college. But I never told my teammates where it came from 😂
I like Bibby's answer to the first question. That is how you answer it. Other players are so quick to point out the obvious players like Jordan, Kobe, Shaq, etc. Especially when they name drop Jordan. They didn't even catch Jordan at his peak. They caught a Jordan who was not the best in the league. They say his name just to put themselves in the same sentence as him. As a Lakers fan, I respect and feared Bibby. The Lakers are the only reason this man never won a title. He was a problem.
This is one I've been waiting for the longest one of my favorite point guards of the late 90s early 2000s, and I've met him. I told him they got robbed in 2002, plus he is my Taurus ♉️ brother. You know we bout to hear some great stories from this interview
Yo, that introduction by Q was fire. That is him in his element on this podcast. Genuine, vibrant. Love to see this side of pro-human 1% athletes, but have such a strong show/stage presence off words alone. Complete package. Great show, many well wishes for all the future success you deserve.
Wish they would’ve went deeper *pause* on that Sac vs LA series. Especially finding out the refs actually played a part in it. Also I wish they would’ve asked about him debuting the Foamposites as a freshman during the championship run 😢
1:13 John Crotty vs Mike Bibby two games head to head: April 9, 1999 at Vancouver: Bibby: 7pts on 2/9 shooting, 7 assists, 5 FOULS Crotty: 5 pts on 1/6 shooting, 1 assist, 1 foul 2/2 FT April 23, 1999: Bibby: 10 pts on 4/11 shooting, 9 assts, 5 FOULS again Crotty: 10 pts, 2/3 shooting, 1 assists, no fouls I bet Crotty’s herky jerky was the reason why Bibby got in foul trouble
Thanks for highlighting the fouls. Having got into the NBA after Crotty left i never heard of him and looked at the low FGA he took vs Bibby and thought wtf he talking about
One of the greatest teams of that era, besides my Pistons, was the Kings! They should’ve definitely won a ring against the Lakers, but were cheated…shout out Bibby! One of the greatest Guards…
My first favorite player. Had a home Kings jersey, an away jersey, and the old school red, blue, and white jersey with the last name below the number. Not gonna lie, when he said "man we should've had the championship that one year" I was thinking "here we go, spill it! tell us how you really feel." I thought he was about to talk about the infamous game 6 and how it was rigged for the Lakers. Instead he talked about how the Kings didn't play well game 7 and it still went to OT. Just goes to show you the kind of competitor Bibby was and is. All respect, no excuses. All my friends loved Kobe and the Lakers, but I loved the Kings and Mike Bibby. Thanks for making my childhood basketball fandom fun. Some great memories there. Wish ya'll got one, but those teams were special. Also thank you Q and Darius for having him on and making it a great interview. Much respect to you guys as well, ya'll put on a good show on and off the court. Looking forward to more from you guys.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Mike bibby a legend!!! As a kid growing up watching yall play the convo about the jordan pe's brought back so many memories yall used to rock some HEAT!!!
I've been a Lakers fan for 25 years. I remember watching the Lakers and Kings battle back in the day. I used to hate Mike Bibby more than anybody in the world. That dude used to torch us. He's a baller for sure
Grew up watching UofA basketball. This dude was the truth. Ice in his veins that run as a freshman. IMO one of the best home grown AZ athletes. Love the early late 80's - 90's basketball both college/ NBA.
Great episode. 1997 NCAA Championship was amazing and the those Laker matchups in the playoffs were classic. Definitely should have won one. Bibby's a true baller!
This was a good interview. Those years he was with Sac he was cold. I remember practicing his hesi slide. I worked forever to get it to look like M. Bibby. That was a move I really worked on cause of the way he was frying the Lake show. Much love M. Bibby
Bike Mibby!!! Best sneaker moment had to be rocking the Penny Foams in the NCAA championship game! I’m mad they didn’t ask him about the heat that’s in the Arizona closet!
If you look clutch in the dictionary, you will see Mike Bibby face. I love C Webb but he deferred to Mike Bib. Mike hit at least two game winners in the playoffs against Kobe & Shaq. One of my favorite players all time.
Played shadow mountain in Vegas while in Highschool one year. Boy mike had 50 on us !! 😂😂😂 He had a big man on his squad too I believe his name was Mitch Green 6’9 he was cold too!
Yo Mike Bibby, I first met him when he was about 10 years old and he was with his dad Henry who was training me at the "JCC" Jewish Community Center in Phoenix, AZ. Even though he was very young at the time he was very serious and focused about playing basketball.
I am Tj Norris. My name is in the Street & Smith next to the legend Randy Moss! Epic! 1994-1995... Randy Moss hooped in West Virginia with this PG named Jason Williams aka White Chocolate. My AAU PG on our L.A. Rockfish team was Andre Miller.
About 10 years ago I’m hoopin in Phoenix and I do a triple take. Oh, that’s Mike Bibby! He guarded me that night and went for a lazy steal attempt. I spun and drove past him and he grabbed my shirt. Vet move😂. Anyway, he wasn’t lying, not much of a defender but damn can he shoot!
I worked with one of Mikes best friends around the mid 2000s and he would come in with the craziest player exclusives. He wore the same size as Mikes so he would get shit that you never see in person again. This was also when the shoe game started to really blow up
bobby had the most massive iron clad balls in the 2002 WCF vs Lakers. he was not scared to shoot the rock in the most clutch moments. 'bang'! wetball! ... 'bang'! wetball! just tough cuz Lakers got help from Tim. *asterisk chip* for LA
Donaghy reffed exactly 0 games that series. Kings shot more FTs and got called for less fouls than the Lakers for the entire series. Cry more. Queens choked a perfectly winnable Game 7. If Kobe hadn't gotten food poisoning by some shady Sacramento hotel room service it wouldn't have even been a series.

Antonio Mcdyess had the nicest midrange game for a big man not named Dirk or Amare stoudemire!! Man was nice!!
Shareef adul rahim would be dope too. Hes the president of the g-league I think

Yes sir
Bibby is one of the greats from ARIZONA. UofA UofA
Bibby was a great piece in Atlanta. First time we’d had a competent PG in years. He definitely elevated that team.
I’m saying💯’08 is when i became a Hawks fan. I was 8 at the time ironically but Bibby helped them with that push especially against the Celtics
Mike bibby will always be a my favorite Pg
