Yes it is quite powerful, especially when reinforced with silent meditation practice in a relaxed sitting posture, ideally in the mornings. One can even combine it with ego death meditation when sitting, as the two will make each other far more deep and even more effective. Ideally, we are constantly watching for every little, medium, and big ego that moves in us.
I'd love to get my ability to lucid dream back. A long time ago now I'd lucid dream every night. The last one I had I was just flying around like I usually did, and when I landed I looked up and saw a bright star. The star descended to where I was and it turned into a little gnome, exactly like the garden gnomes you see with a white beard, blue clothes and a red cap. It looked up and me and said "you're not supposed to be doing this." I didn't like that, so I slapped the gnome in the face and then I took off like Superman. The lucid dreams pretty much stopped there. Probably should have asked him why instead of hitting him, but I figured it was just another part of my dream and that whatever I did in the lucid dream didn't matter. Guess I was wrong about that.

I don't wanna lose my zest and my primal drive to be intimate with a woman. Let go of porn and wasting sexual energy during masturbation to porn? Yes, I am onboard. But how does this apply to real sex? To never have hot, steamy, lustful sex ever? So to basically be prude...? What kind of sex do you think is healthy? Only Karezza type sex simply isn't for me. I want to be able to make my woman orgasm and to be able to let go during the act of sex. Demonizing Lust seems like a huge block in doing that? I don't want to have any moral judgement limit the types of expressions that I am allowed to have. I have heard many times in the spiritual community that BDSM type stuff is just generally wrong, lustful and sinful. This is quite the shallow notion, isn't it? Or am I missing something? Our concept of 'real sex' is terribly misguided. Alchemy, White Tantra, Karezza -- those are forms of making love. They awaken consciousness. They stoke the fires of cupid. Such experiences go beyond the physical. They open our eyes to how blind we truly have been. Yet none of this is possible if we're throwing away our most powerful source of energy for a quick, temporary, and illusory thrill. The best way to gain gnosis is to do the work, to deny thyself and fight for awakening. It must be fought for, otherwise, the "wants" that fill our mind will overrun us like a horde.

Great question! Yes going out into the psychological gym of life is very wise in helping us find more egos. And if we have the intuition to do this, then it's even more important as that intuition is our Innermost self communicating with us, saying we should do this. And we should always listen to our inner Buddha, our inner master.
If our chakras weren't already opened we would be dead, as they help transform prana or lifeforce into physical hormones and such. However, our chakras are typically very unbalanced! Sound is certainly healing and can help to balance our chakras. But to fully awaken them and balance them is key. I disagree about being born with ego. My medium mentor has been shown what happens because she is free of ego. We come in pure. Our soul is cleansed in the God head before each life. It’s our environment once we’re born that will trigger past life karmic contracts
I regret to inform that this is a mistaken interpretation. We come in with the 3% of our consciousness without egos yet attached. This is why babies are so innocent and pure. They also posses the facilities of clairvoyance due to having no ego, and this is why a baby will suddenly and without warning begin to cry. They can see their egos who are attempting to enter the lunar bodies, but are unable to because a baby has yet to develop a lunar personality. This is related to why crime rates are higher during the full moon. As the baby develops a lunar personality from their parents and society, the egos are able to attach year by year. Ask any parent about a 2 year old or a 3 year old compared to their 3 or 6 or 9 month old. It is quite illuminating. So, to that end, yes it is related to the environment but the egos are us. We must dissolve them with inner revolutionary psychology or they will continue to cast a veil of illusion over our senses. There are also spiritual egos of pride etc. -- many esotericists use these to explore things through the lens of the egos. Furthermore, we must not take any person's word without travelling in the astral, without asking our Innermost Being to show us the truth.
