Clapton, et al are sitting there pinching themselves...they still cannot believe they are in the presence of BB King, much less playing with him. Their 1st concept of music and motivation to play was the likes of the immortal, BB King!
I listened to B B King as a white teenager, played by Randy’s Record Shop in Gallatin, TN. When my friends moaned over Pat Boone, I stayed in my room listening to BB, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, Big Mama Thornton, so many I don’t remember them all. Those days are gone. Does anyone else remember? Thanks for this memory
After Eric Clapton, Robert Cray and Jimmy Vaughan (in case you don't know, he is Stevie Ray's brother, he played in The Fabulous Thunderbirds... check out "Tuff Enuff") played, I believe that was Robert Randolph who was tearing it up on steel guitar. I love B.B., got to see him live in the '90's, but this was toward the end for him, not at the top of his game anymore. In his prime, he was sublime, truly awesome.
Yes, that is Robert Randolph on the pedal steel. If you want some fun, check out the Sawyer Brown's video of Paul Thorne's, Mission Temple Fireworks Stand; he just tears it up!
When you have Eric Clapton willing to sit behind you, you know you are LEGEND!!! I know that his song with Clapton, "Riding with the King" was rocking it in 2000. You really need to check out some Buddy Guy...
I was a 13yr old white girl who lived in a town named Cool, Ca. Population 296. I had a fabulous woman who was student teaching. She had raised her children then became a teacher, a great one as a matter of fact. She took myself and 7 other kids who were in a class of hers. She believed as smart as these other kids were the needed some cultural experience other than that small Northern California town so we made a trip to the San Francisco/Oakland Bay area. I myself had spent a lot of time in the city but these other kids not so much. We went to see 😊B.B.King and Ray Charles, I knew that night that this music was for me. I've never forgot the first time I saw Mr. King perform this song, it was incredible. My teacher was the best, her husband and herself were our chaperones. Those were the days!!!! I saw B.B. 3 more times before he passed. I feel blessed to have that memory🎵🎼🎸🎶
I had the honor, and immense pleasure, to see BB King live about 15 years before he passed. Still gave a fantastic show. I also was blessed to see Ella Fitzgerald live at a FREE concert. Incredible. There like may never be seen again.
B. B. King was amazing to see in person. I believe his sound is what you are privileged to hear, when the best blues guitarist of all time makes love with his guitar. He didn't play Lucille. He made love with her.
I laughed at your comment about being that old and the coolest in the room. The definition of cool in the dictionary should be BB King. There is an excellent version of this song with BB and Tracy Chapman too. Polo, have you seen While My Guitar Gently Weeps with Prince? His performance and guitar playing are electrifying.
I'm 63 yrs young italian/English woman who grew up all my life loving BB. I collected every album he made and listened faithfully to his radio station daily. Also love, Buddy Guy, Willie Dixon, omg, I can't type them all. Then oneday I had to split my heart in two to make room for Stevie Ray Vaughn. BB has 1 half, Stevie the other. I love all music very collectic in my music, love big bands of the 40's to hip hop & rap, but the blues always has beeb and is my soul ❤❤
This live concert you're watching. You have to watch in its entirety. Some of the best guitarists from everywhere coming together. I've watched it several times. Never gets old.
BB King , Eric Clapton , Robert Cray and Jimmy Vaughn .... good Lord it doesn't get much better than that . Except if Leon Russell was playing piano ( may he rest in Peace ) . I've seen Eric Clapton , Robert Cray and Leon Russell multiple times and it was a blessing . I have to say as a child Leon taught me to love rock n roll and the blues like brothers and Elton John called him his greatest influence on piano . I live less than 5 miles from his Memorial in Tulsa , Oklahoma . PK
BB King was one of my guitar heroes growing up. Today i'm 35 years old, still singing and playing the Blues getting better and better every day playing guitar. I'm as white as you can get (Born and raised in Sweden) but the Blues is and has been since the first time i heard it, a part of my very essence. Absolutely love it!
So glad you could revisit your childhood music through a different perspective, and appreciate it. BB is so smooth... his lyrics, guitar melodies, and his swag on stage... no one else like him. Brilliant. Beautiful. There are so many good tracks from him that will take a dull day to new heights
Amazing having that much talent on stage all at once. B.B. use to do an annual tour called B.B. Kings Blues Festival. He would take multiple other musicians and they would tour the Summer. The lineup changed over the years, but it was always a great time. Blues is probably my favorite of the genre's. It speaks to my soul more so than any other. I love it all, but the Blues just hits different.
Discovered the blues after the divorce from my first wife. The music just spoke to me and how low I felt. BB King was one of the artists who helped me make it through. Love the blues.
BB King was my bucket list artist that I wanted to see. My daughter made that happen. I had chills all night long and am so thankful that I got to see him live. He just has it. ❤
Wonderful performances and great reaction! I saw B.B King on stage years ago and he set the place on fire. He was always generous with sharing the stage and bringing on the younger dudes. The great Buddy Guy does the same.
Man, so cool to see this reaction! King, Clapton, Cray and J. Vaughan just tearing it up! Different styles, but no one stepping on anyone's toes! Love those blues!!
❤❤❤I was a 15 year old white girl from Tyler Texas. I was raised with music...my brother was a drummer since I was 4. When I found BB King, I knew I found My sound 😊
1976, I was 18, a friend and I were heading to the disco on Miami Beach.Across the street was the Marco Polo hotel. The had a sign that said BB KING 2.00 entry, 2 drink minimum. We went inside a small lounge with about 6 people more or less disinterested.BB King was alone on a small stage wailing. In between sets he sat at the bar with us and drank.
Wow, you are absolutely correct. My mom worked as a babysitter for the tourists at Marco Polo. She got there early one evening and killed some time in the coffee shop. And there sitting at the counter waiting to go on was BB.
I know exactly what he means by this song and think most other people who know the song feel the same it's not just an american classic but will stand as a WORLD classic⚛😀
B.B. King is arguably the King, of the Three Kings, with Albert and Freddie. These are the guys who took the newly created electric guitars and changed the world of blues, and then by doing so, made the music that eventually lead to rock and roll, and all that followed. Before The Beatles cut their first record deal, they were playing marathon gigs in Germany, playing this music. Playing the blues, is how they got so good at their instruments.
BB has always been a part of my 39 years of life. I got to see him just before he passed away. Al Green, Etta James, and BB King. It was one hell of an amazing show. To be able to see all 3 in the same night was unforgettable.

One of the most tasteful and smooth guitarists ever...and on top of that a fantastic, emotional singer.

B.B.King and so many other great Blues musicians always showed up at the Ann Arbor Blues Festival, Michigan in the 1970's. We always had a great time watching them perform.
I saw BB King at an outdoor venue in NW Lower Michigan in 1980 and in a small club in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1989 with Bobby Blue Bland. The 1980 show i took my kids (4 & 1 years old) and my Mom and Dad. My daughter was dancing and singing along. My son rode on my shoulders, kicking his heels and spazzing with the music. 😊
I was lucky enough to see BB King live in Santa Fe New Mexico in the early 90s. The performance was unforgettable. Such an absolute privilege to experience his work in an small venue on a warm late summer evening. So amazing!!!!
I've gone to about 6.of BB King's concerts. He is my all time favorite artist. I met him in Biloxi, MS the year he turned 80. 1 of the casinos was sponsoring his birthday concert. Talked with him for about 15 minutes. Really nice guy. Plus i got his autograph ❤❤
I was fortunate enough to see BB King play several times in Chicago. Once, Chaka Khan even briefly joined us at our table before the show. His performances were magical. RIP to the King of the Blues. ✌️❤️🎶
I was lucky enough to see him play a couple of times and he’s still my favorite blues guitarist. Joe Bonamassa is next on my list. He toured with BB King when he was 12 and if he’s not at the top of best living blues guitarists 2023 he’s close. Riding With the King is an awesome album-BB King and Eric Clapton! I really enjoyed seeing you react to BB King👍👍
We saw him in concert with Bobby Blue Bland in the seventies in Chicago. A fun night for sure. This song was stretched across the United States on so many charts and will never be forgotten. BB and Elvis were buddies from Memphis. BB had it!
My favourite BB King song is take a swing with me, I love his early music best and I was lucky enough to see him at the Royal Albert Hall-he was funny, had the audience in the palm of his hand!
I attended over thousand different concerts over the decades ... B.B. King live was actually one of the most pure epic events I've ever attended and still in my memories, even it is 20+ years (!?) ago. Great artist, great sound! It's worth to check out more of his live performances. Cheers from Germany.
The blues is before my time too, but there's no denying the pure soul and emotion of BB King's music. As well as the fact that he's indisputably one of the greatest guitarists of all time. Check out "Chains and Things" also.
I saw him in concert twice. He was magnificent both times. What always struck me about these old blues players is how they can convey so much with so few notes.
I got to see BB King live in Seattle in the 80s. I honestly felt that I was in the presence of royalty. Thank you for your reaction and the trip down memory lane
I had the great fortune and privilege to hear BB King many times live in both large venues and small intimate venues. You should give the live 1990 performance of Stormy Monday with Albert King and Gary Moore a listen. Albert King was a part of what was called the Kings of Blues. It included BB, Albert, and Freddy King. Sadly all of them are no longer with us in person but luckily their music lives on.
I got the chance to be fortunate enough to see Mr. King with Bobby “Blue” Bland featuring Johnny “Guitar” Watson at the Circle star theater in San Carlos California. What a concert great place those were the days.
I was privileged to watch/listen to him play this, and other songs, live! His concert, in Athens Ohio, was followed by a short drive to the Blue Gator for some great food and some incredible music by none other than Shirley King…BBs daughter. What a night!!! ❤❤❤
Notice Eric Clapton and Robert Cray give him all the room he wants! The Legend!
Clapton, et al are sitting there pinching themselves...they still cannot believe they are in the presence of BB King, much less playing with him. Their 1st concept of music and motivation to play was the likes of the immortal, BB King!
Some of the best guitarists that ever played in this video.
I hated Pat Boone.
Good list of greats
English invasion and Buddy Guy! Awesomeness….
Always loved BB ❤
Still white, but older?
My favorite.
That’s one heckuva line up.
Great, everyone loves BB

Saw Mr.King perform in 1980. Awesome!!!
@@TheOnespeedbikerThanks for the advice ❤
Love the blues. Makes me feel happy.
Good music never get old.
Close to a thousand years of talent on that stage and I fear it will be another thousand before we see the likes of them again. Amazing!
I loved this song.Great memories.
What an amazing story… your grandma is awesome!!! And I’m sure she could write a book!!! Love your channel… this was a very sweet one!!!
💙💙💙💙💙
When you have Eric Clapton willing to sit behind you, you know you are LEGEND!!! I know that his song with Clapton, "Riding with the King" was rocking it in 2000.

Love BB ❤
Loved this! BB King is incomparable! ❤️

BB KING IS THE BEST OF ALL TIME ❤
Long time blues fan. Went through my heavy blues phase before UA-cam was big so I haven’t seen a lot of blues videos. Thx for sharing!
B. B. King was amazing to see in person. I believe his sound is what you are privileged to hear, when the best blues guitarist of all time makes love with his guitar. He didn't play Lucille. He made love with her.
bb was and is the best i saw him three he saw always a gentle man and he could belt out the blues rest the best bb
Got some guitar gods on that stage. I'm glad I got to see BB King live. I've seen Robert Cray for two amazing concerts and I haven't gotten tired yet.
omg robert cray
A lot of times these all star jams are disappointing even with great names. The blues lends itself to this king of jam. This one is sweet
I laughed at your comment about being that old and the coolest in the room. The definition of cool in the dictionary should be BB King. Got to see B B live twice. It was something I will never forget ..❤❤
No words. This man was the epitome KING 👑
DAMN what an Excellent concert, I love BB King. I regret not making it to see him live. ❤ thanks for sharing
Great music is colour blind

When I hear that tune come on, on the radio, TV or whatever, I always stop and listen. It is exquisite.
So nice to watch all of these master's on stage with B.B. King -
Great musician, singer and human being. RIP Mr. King.

LOVE ME SOME B.B.KING!!!!!!! KING OF THE BLUES!!!!!
King of the blues! Clapton, Robert Cray, Jimmy Vaughan (Species brother,) with Buddy Guy watching on the side
I'm a 64 yr old white woman....F/N love this and listened to this several years of my life.... Thanks
And now he says sit down boys, I’ll take it from here. Legendary!🎸🔥

Goosebumps all over the moment he sings... wonderful, Ive loved the Blues all my life, even as a small child.
Pure emotion, soul and love, wonderfull
Thank you Polo for bringing this amazing choir of guitar voices to my attention. An absolute delight ❤
You know you are a true legend when other legends are honored to play rhythm guitar for you
Hey - good choice. And thanks, I'm gonna go find my old blu-ray
Lucky i got to see him and his band live. American treasure.
Love how they show respect by playing their guitars seated just like BB.
I was privileged to see Mr. B.B. King perform in Massey Hall in Toronto in 1980. A truly gifted and classy gentleman musician. Live on, Lucille.
I consider myself blessed, truly blessed to have seen BB live twice.
This song always gives me chills 😢 Beautiful, beautiful soul….RIP Mr.King 🌈🙏❤️

That's legacy right there: a line of guitarists inspired by B.B. King... he's witnessing the power of his influence and giving them approval.
I was blessed to see him live over 10 times. Definitely the KING IF BLUES!

B.B. King is the truth. He gave us all of the rock/rap/metal/pop music that anybody listened to since 1959. Say thank you.
Man, so cool to see this reaction! King, Clapton, Cray and J. Vaughan just tearing it up! Different styles, but no one stepping on anyone's toes! Love those blues!!
Now that is soul food...Black and beautiful as anything I ever heard. God bless B B KING!
B.B. King is the Godfather of Blues-Guitar
❤❤❤I was a 15 year old white girl from Tyler Texas. I was raised with music...my brother was a drummer since I was 4. When I found BB King, I knew I found My sound 😊
Know what B stands for? Anything he damn well wants... The man is a god. (mic drop)

Theese artists are pure passion

What's missing in music today is ,creativity everyone is on their phone!!
I believe the Blues takes some living to really appreciate fully. B. B. King just made it a little easier to do!
I saw him in concert with the Allman Brothers I was probably about 15 years old it was great
BB has always been a part of my 39 years of life. I got to see him just before he passed away. Al Green, Etta James, and BB King. It was one hell of an amazing show. To be able to see all 3 in the same night was unforgettable.
Clapton adding to the magic of BB’s performance.
Not only a great blues artist but an entertainer who connected with his audience almost on a personal level.
First (of course) was B.B. King, next was Eric Clapton, followed by Robert Cray and then Jimmy Vaughan. The event was 'Crossroads 2010 Guitar Festival' held in Chicago. It was organised by Eric Clapton so he could play with those he admired most.
Thanks for the info. If you don't learn something new everyday the day was wasted.
BB King is the greatest! I love his music and Lucilles. ❤
BB King "Bad Case of Love" and BB with Eric Clapton "Riding With The King" are two great tunes. BB's guitar, Lucille, has a distinctive sound and it's easy to recognize his playing. One of my favorite blues artists.
Don’t forget Bobby “Blue” Bland and Johnny “Guitar” Watson with BB King back in the day. Amazing.
A true legend of the blues guitar is BB King.
This song is FIRE. Haven't heard this version . His voice is so great, this song is incredible.
One of the most tasteful and smooth guitarists ever...and on top of that a fantastic, emotional singer.

I had the privilege of seeing B.B. King in Buffalo NY. What a great musician!
Beautiful ❤️ makes my hair stand up and body moving in my seat.❤
