Many firetrucks, but none of them has the equipment / foam that can stop burning the chemicals. Water is to protect the buildings, other ( foam ) for the burning chemicals.
And another parking lot saved !
So many experts in the commit section 💥💣💥💥
MURRICA !
Falsch!
If that was my factory next door I'd be getting my lorries out of there at least then you could still have a job for a few people hauling for other companies earning some money for their families
Those water cannons are like pissing on a forest fire. It's just going to have to burn out.
they are letting it burn. water is just to protect surrounding area
There r industrial fire engines that put out 10000 at draft and 18000 GPM when given a pressureized source even so those would take a while to do it as well or if u have a air port fire department they could be special called to something like this for there foam capability
So, fire trucks actually applying water are on one end of the buildings. However, there is no fire equipment on the other end of the buildings where a lot of fire was burning. Several trucks in a parking lot staged to do something but never do anything. At first, only the factory was burning then spread to the warehouses. Now, it’s all on fire. Is there a water supply problem? A equipment problem? The whole place is going to burn to the ground with the fire department in a defensive or abandon in place mode?
It's a fire at a factory that makes flammable lubricant's. There no stopping this fire no matter what you do. No firefighters are going to be able to get to the seat of the fire due to the fire load and size of the building. It's a lost cause no matter what anyone does, and it's not hard to see that
Become a fire fighter and then come back and read this comment again.
Far from being an expert I was wondering if they could use a water bomber to eally drop a lot of water on the fire. I have seen this once. It was used to put out a fire in a shopping center in Chicoutimi, Québec, Canada. It really helped.
Maybe there is a significant amount of chemicals in an area that does not like water.
It literally never stops. I can only imagine the health benifiets of this.
There are no health benefits from this.
If you've already been vaccinated you have nothing to fear.
@@KevinTheDogGuy nice one lol
the fire hoses arent even spraying towards the building , they are just wetting the pavement.
Hello there Avice
Good, good, breathe in.
Il ont laissé brûlée ? Pourquoi
the end is near
The cleanup crew is not going to be happy
Great movie thanks guys! Especially the chopper covering this your fantastic man& pilot.
Large white birds are flying out of there - what a nightmare.
We have a lot of pelicans on the rock River this year, there is also an eagle nest just upriver from this.
@@TheMW2informer That's so sad.
Which way if the plume of smoke going? Is it going toward Rockford?
Yes it is
No it going towards beloit wisconsin
@@bruhman6427 are you at sunnyside, getting a little weed...and a little confused? Its blowing south, dude.
It's being blown to the southeast by a passing front. We're watching it right now from over 200 miles away.
@@toomanybears_ wow. Its getting better at the source, still smoking...but disapating within just a few miles now.
I seen this on the local news in Champaign Urbana and it has a lot of bad camacles in it that is why they tell everyone leave there homes near that building
How did it get such a head start?
most likely response time. It does look, from what I could see in the video, that it's a fairly remote location. Probably intentionally so, just in case of chemical spill or, well, fire.
What time did it start
7am, I heard
In Portugal the fire commander had been fired and arrested!!!
Doufám, že se nikomu nic nestalo.
This is only going to get worse. That warehouse is going up next.
WOW! that is Serious.
Love & Universal Respect Ending Never.
Huge fire and smoke!
Hey chief lets put water on everything, but the actual fire. lol
It's actually the smart thing to do..they have no chance against that fire so to keep it contained, yeah wet the perimeter of the fire..at least i would lol
Theres a river next to the factory….but no fire engine is using it…..at least not from the helicopter side…..Im flabbergasted…
Sooo you are going to pump a river onto a chemical fire ? And then what?
Please enlighten me how as a fire fighter myself you are going to save the building, put out the fire and prevent further explosions with nothing more then water.
you plan on walking o the seat of the fire area and telling it sharply Hey fire go out
And I just realized about all that Pollution released in to the air that WE may have to the air that the west OR the east may have to breath!! Thanks Rockton!!
You can see it in Rockford 25 mins away
I see it in the air and I live in Rochelle!
If a chemical company were to build such a large facility in my town, I'd want to know that A: they have interal safety messures in place to stop a fire before it got this out of control and B: the local frre dept would have done drills with the necessary equiptment to combate suce a blaze.
Someone's having a worse day than me
Yes, we are. No idea where our next paychecks will come from yet.
Wunderschönen 💞😍😍😍❤️
All the air pollution absolute terrible
This is the baddest fire I've ever seen.
Why they did not save the truck Trailers at the end of the complex? Had some time to park them away from the storage complex.
Hilary needed to get rid of some more reporters, eh?
@Bob Bottoms Guess you can't handle the truth!
Whole lot of people out of work...just when they got back to work.
13:54 What the hell were those birds thinking LOL
at this stages and size of the fire. Fire-fighters becomes nearly useless we can only sit and watch as fire continues to develop. We need new type of firefighting trucks and hose.
Don't critize them. Just stay away and let them do thier job.
Cant wait for the uscsb doc
This is the third video of this fire. This and one other video show the early stages of the fire. The other video shows after the fire is mostly out.
Wow!!
All them trainer's could of been saved if you hooked up a wagon an moved them to a save place instead of leaving them to burn up crazy
Every one of those trailers that are docked have what is called a dock hook on them. Its a hook that comes up and locks onto the steel bumper on the trailer so the trailers cant be accidentally moved while being loaded.. In short, the only way to unhook them is being inside and hitting a switch to release the hook. That takes 2 things.. Power and a person in the building to do it..
any minute now the sprinkler system should be kicking in now..just give it a minute or two
Kudos to the copter/camera crew
THAT IS A MAD BBQ
