I loved Norway and its breathtaking scenery. The Viegulund Sculpture Gardening in Oslo, and the Resistance Museum are worth seeing, but Bergen was my favorite place. I would have liked more time there.
Just found this. Astonishingly GORGEOUS! My Great Grandmother was from Oslo and left to immigrate to the USA in about 1905. She had family here in Wisconsin. She met a man from Sweden and they married and moved to Minnesota where my Grandmother was born and my Aunt Bertha. Tragically, she died at age 26 of TB. She gave birth to my Great Aunt Bertha and died 2 weeks later. SO YOUNG! We don't have much information about her because she was so young etc. I can not even imagine what she'd think of Oslo now! I bet she'd be shocked, amazed and proud. Many Scandinavians left Norway and Sweden due to religious issues and problems with Royalty. Anyway, my family is VERY proud of our Scandinavian heritage. We know she was proud and strong and loved her family very much. She was buried in Wisconsin as I assume was her wish and her family there. I'd give anything to see Norway and especially Oslo. My Grandmother tried writing to known relatives in Norway decades ago but no answer. Technology and communication and information was no where near as easy as it is to find now. She spoke Norwegian and sang Norwegian songs.. one in particular "Gamle Norge." She wrote the words out for us in English and Norwegian. My Grandmother died in 1985. My Great Aunt Bertha passed away in 1988. My Aunt Faye (mom's sister) died in 1995 and my dear mother died in 2011. They are all gone now but most definitely NOT ever forgotten. My sister and I talk about them frequently. My son has a Norwegian Flag hanging in the living room right now. Thanks so much for this fantastic video. I've been seeing and finding more and more UA-cam videos of Norway and some of people that walk and take video. I love them all.
I've beed there 3 weeks ago. Alot to see, old architecture and munuments. Beautiful parks and castles. Nice people. Certainly can reccomend to anyone. You can stay here for few days and only see part of it.
The water fountain constantly running that is shown at 3:18 looks incredibly wasteful. Why would a progressive country like Norway have the water run continuously like that?
We have an abundance of water in Norway. Springs, brooks, rivers, massive waterfalls, lakes and fjords... Oslo's fountains will only be shut down ocationally, during extreme heat waves. And sometimes at night.
Thanks for showing my hometown! :)

We have an abundance of water in Norway.
Springs, brooks, rivers, massive waterfalls, lakes and fjords...
Oslo's fountains will only be shut down ocationally, during extreme heat waves. And sometimes at night.
In Norway there is water everywhere in nature, so there is no need really to save water...
