Imagine being a skinny kid in North Carolina that likes climbing and one day you run into Magnus Mitdbo and all of a sudden he's calling you up weekly to climb with him. Isaac is a legend.
He is skinny but is still good. I see he mostly climbs 7a to 7b, which is a little above average

I love that you juji and Tom found this random high schooler at a climbing gym and kept such a good contact with him. Isaac is in like every climbing video in North Carolina. The people that you juji and tom find and highlight in your videos is what really set you apart and keep me looking out for every video

@@ronaldwestbeal2269 I can’t think of any sport without a significant injury risk when performed at a high level. Maybe swimming? But I bet they have shoulder and elbow injuries too (and probably inflamed sinuses five times a year from all the water in the nose).

Ya when youtube recommended juji's channel i thought he was just anothet muscle bound egotistical bro man. I was pleasently delighted to basically see a 5 year old giddy boy in the body of a hulk. Juji is so humble and cool ,was always in climbing so when i saw magnus and his vibes i immediately subscribed

Magnus has UA-cam down to an art form. Beautifully put together, great company, and all over a very informative and humble guy.
It could be that warming up in bouldefing also has to do with how accustomed you are with the activity.
I don't climb but in weightlifting the better and stronger you get makes the warming up weight higher than what a beginner would warm up with.
Probably the movement is so natural to you that warming up is just not that necessary as it would be for someone that doesn't climb that often.
Actually in weightlifting you should start from an empty bar like a beginner and it takes time to warm up to your 90%. In some ways you are right, that if you bench 200 kg you don't increase in each series by 5 kgs but even 20. Overall it doesn't change the fact that you should warm well even if you are very strong.
I've been running for quite a while now, and I no longer deliberately warm up before running at all.. first walk 100 meters, then go into jogging for about 10 min, feel warmed up, go into first sprint. That being said, a begginer (depending on their initial fitness) wouldn't neccessarily even make it that far, it certainly wouldn't be healthy for them to go running 8km runs 3x a week with multiple sprints and ascents even if they did somehow manage it, and especially shouldn't even attempt it before warming up well.
Bodies certainly adapt considerably to an activity you've been doing for a while (extremely so tbh). Generally speaking, anyone who's been doing something for a while will develop a feeling about their own body and its tolerance so that certainly helps with deciding on the warmup routine, but with any sport I guess the most important key is a *gradual* increase in intensity.
@@n3v3r1s4 I ran 6kms in 30 mins for 5 days as a beginner and I can definitely confirm it'll get heavier to breathe if you don't take a rest
@@blueskynet7926 That's pretty damn good =) I'm assuming you're fairly young and not overweight hehe.. Just be careful with them tendons, going from 0 to 5 days in a row can increasingly stress ligaments that aren't used to it into an injury without you noticing it happening.
