  • This was a random idea I had for my bathroom which has recently been renovated- I now have a pristine white with aqua, green and tropical accents, which I absolutely love. I thought I'd share what I made with you!
Sub, like, share- you know I love that! :D
    Video Features
-How to make a toothbrush holder
-How to make the frosted glass look (almost!)
-How to make a fancy light pully
    Tools:
    -Tile to bake on
    -Clay I used: Cernit/translucent
    -Alcohol inks
    -Tissue blade, craft knife
    Baking Polymer Clay:
UK instructions for baking- it's all in Celsius not Fahrenheit, which is why I don't always quote times & temperatures. I recommend using Polymer Clay packet instructions. However, a good tip is to bake no higher than 100 degrees Celsius. It's better to bake at a lower temperature for longer, than higher for shorter.
Larger clay items need longer- always check after 10 mins- sometimes things fall over in the oven & can be rescued at this point. Watch for burning! Especially white as it's quick to burn (don't know why...) and can turn yellow!
Once out of the oven wait for it to cool before thinking it's baked- if it feels soft to touch, you can poke a fingernail in it or a fingerprint, back in the oven it goes!
Electric ovens work better as the temperature is even, gas oven temperatures fluctuate do not keep a steady temp for baking polymer clay.

Omgoodness you have way to much fun. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 well may now look like your normal sea glass but you can always sand the crap out of it and you might get that look. lol either way it’s still beautiful. And love the pulley, I wish our homes today came with just the ceiling lights still, but we are lucky with just the pulleys on the fans I miss these kinds of lights but my bathroom in the UK also had the pulley light but then at the time the place was over 200 yrs old and on a farm. 🤣🤣🤣 I loved that old place. Ok many many yrs ago. So ya them kind of long and heavy pulls would have been fabulous to have better then chasing that dang string around lol hope your enjoying its beauty and usefulness. Tfs hugs from across the pond. 😊

Awe thanks for watching Karen, yeah I like to change up the light pulls every so often, years ago I made glow in the dark ones, you could see it then haha. I do have so much fun - the one i'm making now is so cool, can't wait to show everyone! 😁

Hi Gail, I have to say it’s been hot here in Vancouver. It’s been in the high 20s which is odd for us in October. I love the way you incorporated the alcohol inks I’ve been doing something similar covering glass and making candleholders with translucent clay. I absolutely adore the chain pull too. Hope you and your puppy are doing fabulous.

Aww, thanks for watching Ellie- The temperature finally dropped here & it's now what I'd call October weather, although I will refuse for the longest time to put on the heating! I love alcohol inks, but I haven't mastered the ratio between ink and clay to get that nice sea glass look just yet, but it's all good practice 😆 Bailey has just learnt to sit & give paw at 11 weeks! I'm shocked! But so happy & we all wonderful thanks, hope you are too 😁

Very nice! I love the colors and the design. Great idea for the light pulley thingy. It's 24 C here in Sunny Colorado US. October is a hot and cold month for us. You just never know! Cheers.

Thanks Alexis! I've always loved autumn/fall. My favourite season... it's October & I can't smell that fresh crispy air yet but i'm waiting patiently! I left the house to walk my dog with a t-shirt on today- I should be getting out my fluffy scarf 🤣
