When Grandma returned from her trip , she says to my Mom, " Here, I bought you a gift ." And gave her a green rosary ! Years later when my beautiful Mother passed , my brother placed a green rosary around her fingers . Wonderful! I recently got to four a day, after a loooong journey. Most days now, when my duties permit, I pray, all four. At least three before Holy Mass. She is preparing me to receive HIM. Omne pulchrum est Maria.
Started praying 4 rosaries a day through a recommendation of its power, and the weight of temptation that sexual immorality has over me has pretty much collapsed, in such a way that I can actually say no and it means something.

Could someone please recommend me a good book on Spiritual Warfare? I‘ve read „Live No Lies“ and „Winning the war in your mind“ but would appreciate some Catholic ressources :)
I’ve been exploring catholic teaching on Mary and there’s a lot I agree with but I have to disagree when he said the Mary will crush the head of the serpent. Genesis says Jesus will strike the head not Mary.
Matthew 26:40-45 Jesus prays the same prayer three times. Should we not follow the example of our lord? Also Jesus gave us the our father prayer for us to pray which is a formulaic prayer. Veil repetitions would apply if you pray Vainly as in without truly meaning your prayer.
I want to say three Our Fathers in honor of the Trinity. One for each person. How long do I have to wait between Our Father's so they are not in repetition? And if I should they them back to back to back will God not accept the prayers?
I grew up catholic, now consider myself protestant. I still have tremendous respect for the catholic church but I'll be honest that I cannot wrap my head around the idea of praying the rosary and asking Mary or any other saints to intercede spiritually on our behalf... As we know God is all knowing, all powerful, always present so He does have the ability to listen and answer every single prayer past, present, & future... So with that said, with there being over 1.3 billion catholics around the world, according to the catholic belief, Mary and the saints have the ability to listen and intercede for the 1.3+ billion catholics past, present, & future too. Would this mean God also grants Mary & the saints omnipotency, omniscient, & omnipresence in order to perform the intercessions while in heaven? If yes, where in scripture tells us that? Thanks.
Attend exorcism or try rosary when you face any diabolical attack, then you will come to know the importance of rosary.Rosary is meditation on life of Jesus Christ not mary. Thanks
Asking Virgin Mary and Saints for prayers as we ask our own family and friends, is for our benefit. They have eternal life in Heaven and God heeds their prayers as they prevail over many things. God does not refuse His Mother! God willed that this work of salvation be accomplished through the collaboration of a woman, while respecting her free will (Gal. 4:4). He said where two or more are gathered, He is among them. It’s nice to have an army of the Just praying for us and with us. Jn 11:25-26, Pro 15:29, Jm 5:16, Rev 4:10, 5:8, 6:9-11, 7:11-15, 8:3-4, 11:19, 12:1-17, Lk 1:28, 35, 42-43, Jn 2:3-11.
"The seed of the women will crush your head" I was not Mary who will crush the head of the serpent it was her seed who is Jesus why we catholic always refer Mary as the one who will crush the serpent head.
I love Mary no matter what but It’s failed to teach the rosary is fruitful to our life , It’s only fruitful to our soul . In this life the rosary only has brought me pain and suffering. Gods plan
Why is it that if you want to learn about Mary you have to read non biblical texts! In no way does the Bible blatantly tell us to pray to Mary, or Moses or the great prophets... it just simply points us to God.
The birth of Rosary, everyone. *Jesus* - When you pray, please do not make it a whole public self-endorsement thing... just talk to the Father in your room in private... Matthew 6,5 *Catholics* - Hey, wouldn't it be fun, if we made those big rosary circles and just prayed altogether in complete unison for self-endorsement? Forget the whole relationship part, I mean there must be no harm in treating God like a machine that just pops graces as you insert the identical prayer coins right? *Jesus* - When you pray, do not babble like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Matthew 6,7 *Catholics* - Hey, you know what also? It would be best I think if we just repeated the same exact prayer over and over again! And you know, the more times you repeat the same words the better, right? Let's just make it talking in circles non stop! *Jesus* - Whatever you ask of me in my name, I shall give to you. John 16,24 *Catholics* - Also how about we just direct the whole thing to a mortal person, and ask her to pray for us and get our grace for us. I mean the whole asking God in Jesus name directly stuff can't possibly work. *Jesus* - Also, pray Our Father, would you? *Catholics* - ... ... ... ... ALL RIGHT FINE :/ Just... just shove it there in between our stuff. GEEZ. :/ jokes aside, I'm Catholic, I'm just capable of laughing at my own backyard too. And I do believe rosary works, because God can absolutely make wonders even with the TINY bit of obedience and TINY bit of faith that can be found in it. But it is, without a doubt, the worst possible "waste of time" prayer that our Church ever invented, literally doing everything in a least effective way, and exactly opposite of what Our Lord DIRECTLY AND CLEARLY asked...
I find it impossible to concentrate on the mysteries of the day, and the words of the Hail Mary at the same time. Steeping my mind in the mystery reduces the prayer to a mantra. As the words of the Hail Mary could occupy the study of a life time, turning them to a subconscious chant seems inappropriate. I can't be the only one who struggles with this contradiction, and suspect many concentrate on the prayer counted on fingers or beads, and not the sacred mystery. Also, I have a vivid imagination and find events like the scourging at the pillar sufficiently traumatic, that it casts a depressing cloud over the day. There is no light, as with the Resurrection, just a twice weekly reminder of man's inhumanity to man. By contrast the Annunciation is a beautiful event I'm happy to linger on. Obviously, if the Hail Mary becomes routine, one doesn't have to engage in its deeper meaning, but that seems to miss the point.

I’m with ya man, I don’t understand where all this Mary stuff and repetitive prayer comes from. The theology and reasoning seems circular in its justification.
Bet you didn't know that in the Bible, in both the Old and the New Testament, all Believers always pray DIRECTLY to God the Father. Isn't that awesome? And in the New Testament it's always directly to God the Father, "in the name of Jesus". In fact when the disciples asked Jesus himself how to pray he said: "... your Father knows what you need before you ask Him. Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come..." Matthew 6:8-9 And... "But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you." Matthew 6:6 And in God's Word Jesus himself intercedes for us, not his human mother. This is exactly what it says: "Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them." Hebrews 7:25 "Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us." Romans 8:34 And the Holy Spirit: "In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; Roman 8:26 That's good enough for me. So, in conclusion, in the Bible the idea is NOT to go to the Son's human mother (or to anyone else), who then goes to the Son, who then goes to the Father with your request. No, your Heavenly Father's wish and desire is that you go DIRECTLY to Him with all your prayers and petitions. I'm not kidding. Check it out for yourself. So why go in little circles when the Father wants, and even commands, that we come directly to Him. "In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I will request of the Father on your behalf; for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and have believed that I came forth from the Father." John 16:26-27 It's as though I was a simple little employee in a huge giant corporation. And the President/Owner of the corporation adopted me and loved me and told (ordered) me that any time I had a problem or a request, I was to go directly to him, and he would handle it. Perfect.
The rosary does not ar all help you. God and Christ made it pretty clear many times thar you do not pray to a human. She was only favored and was given a choice. Read the Bible instead.
Matt6 and when you pray do not use vein repetitions as the heathens do for they believe they will be heard with their many words..is Mary omnipresent? Nothing this guy says is biblical about Mary
1. First of all, repetitive prayers are completely acceptable to God. Look at Psalm 136, where the Psalmist says "His Mercy Endures Forever" many times. There are also many times in the Gospels and NT where prayers are repeated. In Matthew 26:44, we see that Jesus repeats his prayer to the Father in the garden. In Luke 11: 9-10, Jesus talks about how persistence in praying for something is important. And in Rev 4:8, we see the angels chant night and day, "Holy, Holy, Holy." And the term "vain repetitions" is not a completely accurate translation. The Greek word used in that Gospel is more closely linked to something like "stammering," "rambling on and on," or "empty phrases." In other words, what Jesus is saying effectively is: "Don't be like the pagans who think that the Father will only hear you if you say really long prayers." Jesus in the Gospel is just saying that God is not like the pagan gods. He knows what you want before you ask, and you don't need really long prayers for you to get His attention. 2. The Catholic Church doesn't claim that the Saints are omniscient or omnipresent. But we do believe that the bonds between brothers and sisters in Christ are unbreakable and that even death cannot break them. Therefore, it is through God's grace that we can ask the Saints in Heaven to pray for us and with us to Jesus Christ. As we see in Matt 19:26, "all things are possible with God." If you want more information as to the scriptural historical roots of asking the saints to pray for us, go to the catholic answers website and type in "prayers to the saints." They have tons of articles explaining the scriptural and historical roots of the practice. May God bless You!

I prayed the whole rosary once, in the Dominican tradition, and I honestly didn't feel much better and things didn't start to change (for better or worse). Although I prayed intensely, I didn't feel any "magic" or "spark." Maybe that's because it's only my first time praying with it? When I do something, I never do it again if I don't feel anything good coming from it in that moment and/or afterwards. In general, praying has never really helped me whatsoever (other than being put in a calming meditative state, which I can accomplish in other ways).
If you base the efficacy of your prayers on how they make you feel, you're falling victim to superstition and modernism. The efficacy of prayers are based on the grace God deigns to be communicated through them and the faith and love with which we pray them. If you have any follow up questions, let me know.
@@TheGamerDevious I will forego the rosary then and just leave things up to God/the Fates. You don't need to pray the rosary for that to happen. P.S. There is hypocrisy in your statement. Faith and love are feelings, just saying. Praying the rosary with love is a feeling. I didn't get that feeling with the rosary at all. I prayed with intensity and seriousness, but that was it. Felt no love, hope, or faith whatsoever. I will say that the rosary is very decorative, at least the one I have made out of labradorite beads.
If you mean it originated in the middle east, yes. The rosary is more similar the early christian prayer rope which was pre-Islamic middle east. The jew also pray with the knots on their prayer shawls. But I don't see you bashing them.
There is only one MEDIATOR(of redemption)between God and man-Jesus Christ, but anyone can be an intercessor-eg I can intercede(pray)for you,or you for me--this isn't rocket science. Therefore we may ask Mary to intercede for us, as She did at Cana. Her intercession moves the heart of Jesus as no-one else can.
The rosary is just a personal devotion. It's not required by the church and is completely voluntary. It's just an organized set of prayers used to meditate on the life of Christ. And it's used as a way to ask Mary to pray for us and with us to Jesus Christ.
The idea that an infinite being would...I'm sorry...but it's silly. I absolutely mean no disrespect. If we are created in God's image, then so are our minds. If our minds are in God's image, then we can discern what is just silly...There was no rosary with Jesus or early Christians. Yes, it falls under the traditions of Catholicism--and in that sect, tradition has weight like scripture. My question is why would any prayer be somehow amplified by a string of beads and a repeated prayer? Jesus NEVER demonstrated anything close to that. It's an incantation...pretty sure those aren't ok....it's just silly.
And when you’re begging God for the answer to a seemingly insoluble problem, and you ask over and over again for Christ’s intercession to the Eternal Father, is that “silly”,too?
Virgin Mary gave us the rosary in 1240. Everything about the Church did not end with the Early Church, the Catholic Church continues to grow with the help of Jesus and Mary. Everything Jesus did did not end in the first century. You don't know Jesus, that is why you hate the mother of Jesus

Love the Rosary,Bishop Robert Barron has a wonderful commentary before each decade so helping you to meditate while praying each mystery.
Started praying 4 rosaries a day through a recommendation of its power, and the weight of temptation that sexual immorality has over me has pretty much collapsed, in such a way that I can actually say no and it means something.
I highly highly recommend The Admirable Heart of Mary by St. John Eudes for those wanting to learn more about our Mother.
Praying the Rosary was especially helpful in my conversion. I continue to pray the Rosary whenever I can, it is truly a powerful spiritual weapon.
Replying re distractions: We all struggle a lot with distractions. Just don't give up. Our Lady knows our efforts and will reward and help us accordingly.
I understand my own faith more deeply when I listen to Bishop McCaig. Thank you and God bless you.
For those who believe, keep strong in your faith and pray the rosary as much as tou can, for yourself, the world, the souls in purgatory.
Totally agree with you Bishop. Just start praying it. Jesus, Mary bless us Amen.❤🙏🏼💙🙏🏼
Excellent interview! I love praying the Holy Rosary :)
Very insightful what Bishop McCaig stated, your sitting at the table with Mother Mary and she is telling our who her son is🤍
Powerful 🫶🏾🙏🏾
Thank you , Bishop and Matt. I was meditating on the Glorious Mysteries and when praying the last Mystery, Our Lady's Glorious Crpwning, I was thinking about " A Great Sign appeared in the Sky, a Woman clothed with the Sun,, with the Moon under Her feet and a Crown of twelve Stars on Her head and "Who is shecthat comes forth as the Morning rising, Fair as the moon Bright as the Sun, Terrible as an Army set in Battle Array" esp. the Latter part that Bishop McCaig, taught, I was was wondering what it really meant. Thank you, Bishop McCaig for "enlightening" me. Thank you, of course,, firstly, to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, all Praise, Glory and Honour, to Our Lord Jesus Christ,, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Amen 🙏 ❤️ 🙌
I’ve been praying the rosary all my life🤷♂️sometimes O feel nothing , No magic , No comfort just nothing. I do It in obedience to Mary. I just do It . Sometimes my life even gets worse but It’s what my god telling me to do
You don't need to have obedience to Mary, just to God.
Ave Maria! We need Our Lady in our life!🌹🌹🌹
Got a great deal out of this. Thank you Bishop and Matt!
I Liked what the priest said about the rosary. It provides me with greater understanding of Mary and the efficacy of saying rosary
Beautiful insight into the Holy Rosary.
Thanks for this! Good timing!
This was SO GOOD. Wew!
Thank you very much for enlightening us. I do have so much passion for the Holy Rosary. I have desires in my heart to fulfill my Art exhibit of Holy Rosary mysteries as well as Holy Rosary Musical for theatre. The Lord is at work with me in this pursuit. I love how Mother Mary appeared to the soldiers and speak, "dear soldiers please do not hurt my children". That apparition of Mother Mary was during the Edsa Revolution in the Philippines. We enjoy the peaceful situation because of God's way to give unto us Mama Mary, and a Shrine of Peace is established it is the Queen Of Peace. I love Mama Mary very Much and I love my intimate relationship with the Lord Jesus. ❤❤❤ oh how I love praying and contemplating the Holy Word.❤
Loved this interview with Bishop McCaig 💙📿
Beautifully said.
Awesome insights. Thank you 🙏
Truth. The proof is in the pudding of saying a daily rosary. You have to do it to experience its realness.

I’ve been exploring catholic teaching on Mary and there’s a lot I agree with but I have to disagree when he said the Mary will crush the head of the serpent. Genesis says Jesus will strike the head not Mary.
Cannot find praying the rosary anywhere in the Bible what I do find is to not use vain repetition as the Heathen do,
Matthew 26:40-45 Jesus prays the same prayer three times.
Fatima,Međugorje,Guadalupe,Lourd?
How you explain those places. And yes Saints are sent from God to help us!
🤯
"The seed of the women will crush your head" I was not Mary who will crush the head of the serpent it was her seed who is Jesus why we catholic always refer Mary as the one who will crush the serpent head.
I love Mary no matter what but It’s failed to teach the rosary is fruitful to our life , It’s only fruitful to our soul . In this life the rosary only has brought me pain and suffering. Gods plan
My gripe is, Demons do not fear Mary more than God. Can we stop saying this.
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🩵
Why is it that if you want to learn about Mary you have to read non biblical texts! In no way does the Bible blatantly tell us to pray to Mary, or Moses or the great prophets... it just simply points us to God.
The birth of Rosary, everyone.
*Jesus* - When you pray, please do not make it a whole public self-endorsement thing... just talk to the Father in your room in private... Matthew 6,5
*Catholics* - Hey, wouldn't it be fun, if we made those big rosary circles and just prayed altogether in complete unison for self-endorsement? Forget the whole relationship part, I mean there must be no harm in treating God like a machine that just pops graces as you insert the identical prayer coins right?
*Jesus* - When you pray, do not babble like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Matthew 6,7
*Catholics* - Hey, you know what also? It would be best I think if we just repeated the same exact prayer over and over again! And you know, the more times you repeat the same words the better, right? Let's just make it talking in circles non stop!
*Jesus* - Whatever you ask of me in my name, I shall give to you. John 16,24
*Catholics* - Also how about we just direct the whole thing to a mortal person, and ask her to pray for us and get our grace for us. I mean the whole asking God in Jesus name directly stuff can't possibly work.
*Jesus* - Also, pray Our Father, would you?
*Catholics* - ...

ALL RIGHT FINE :/ Just... just shove it there in between our stuff. GEEZ. :/
jokes aside, I'm Catholic, I'm just capable of laughing at my own backyard too.
How sad that you misunderstand both the Scriptures and the rosary so badly, and slander the motives of people praying the rosary.
Lend it to the Ukrainians then
I find it impossible to concentrate on the mysteries of the day, and the words of the Hail Mary at the same time.
Really it's a bunch of worshipping Mary. So it's powerful for evil perhaps? The commandment says no false idols.
Mark16:17 Jesus says in my name you will cast out demons show me in bible where it says Mary has power over demons
Anyone who acts in the name of Jesus has power over satan. By proxy Mary has that power through her son. She was a believer, was she not?
@@aidanlisney5546 show me one example of where Mary cast out a demon she is at peace in heaven..Where did Jesus' say in Mary's name demons can be cast out please
Tell me, do you think God would pick someone to be his mother knowing that he would send them to Hell?
@@aidanlisney5546 did I say Mary is there I said Mary is in heaven she is an amazing lady but nowhere in the bible did she display any divine power .you see I just asked you to show me a bible verse to back what you claim which you cant as its not in the bible ..
In fact when the disciples asked Jesus himself how to pray he said:
"... your Father knows what you need before you ask Him. Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come..."
Matthew 6:8-9
And...
"But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you."
Matthew 6:6
And in God's Word Jesus himself intercedes for us, not his human mother. This is exactly what it says:
"Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them."
Hebrews 7:25
"Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us."
Romans 8:34
And the Holy Spirit:
"In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words;
Roman 8:26
That's good enough for me.
"In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I will request of the Father on your behalf; for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me and have believed that I came forth from the Father."
John 16:26-27
It's as though I was a simple little employee in a huge giant corporation.
*the rosary another Pagan innovation*
@@maxwellbrown9559 number 1 Gods mercy is his willingness to continue forgiving us 1john1:7 number two where in Matthew 26 does it show Jesus saying the our father and when Jesus mentioned the our father he did not say to pray the our father he said to pray in this style..when you are persistant in prayer it means if you are seeking some prayer to be answered you continue to ask as in the parable of the persistant widow for it it doesn't mean be repetitive...Godwants a relationshipwith believers so if you have two differentpeople visit you each day for the rest of your life and one sits down and talks to you and tells you how they feel about you and how their life is and is thankful and the other comes everyday and says the exact same words day in day out which will you prefer to see ?. Jesus thought his disciples how to pray and his prayer starts by our Father. No where in the bible they pray other than the Father why pray someone else ?
The rosary is intercession. We are asking Mary to pray for us. Jesus will not say no to his mother.
Do you mediate words of bible? I think Protestants doing that too… go to read what rosary is, it is a meditation of life of Christ. The life of Christ from bible. Sir, please don’t be ignorant.
@@barbarafenton1775 in 1 Timothy 2 : 5 says that Jesus is the only mediator between God and man. Why do different from what the bible says ?

@@aidanlisney5546 I pray for my family, friends and who ever I know that is not saved by grace through faith. I pray to the Father like Jesus thought his disciples in Mathew 6:6 and Mathew 6:9

This talk by Fr. Ripperger should grant a lot of insight on how one should approach the rosary
It's not about feelings. It's faith and trust. We pray and then we allow God to work. It's not magic.
There is only one intercessor between man and God the Father- Jesus Christ.
Did Catholics copy the idea of the rosary from the Muslims?
Answer yes
If you mean it originated in the middle east, yes. The rosary is more similar the early christian prayer rope which was pre-Islamic middle east. The jew also pray with the knots on their prayer shawls. But I don't see you bashing them.
There is only one MEDIATOR(of redemption)between God and man-Jesus Christ, but anyone can be an intercessor-eg I can intercede(pray)for you,or you for me--this isn't rocket science. Therefore we may ask Mary to intercede for us, as She did at Cana. Her intercession moves the heart of Jesus as no-one else can.
No one prayed the Rosary in the Bible. It's a doctrine of man.
The rosary is not a doctrine. It's a prayer filled with biblical references.
Sorry dude, it’s not a doctrine.
The rosary is just a personal devotion. It's not required by the church and is completely voluntary. It's just an organized set of prayers used to meditate on the life of Christ. And it's used as a way to ask Mary to pray for us and with us to Jesus Christ.
I’m afraid you don’t know what a doctrine is. Nor do you know what the Rosary is. Why not learn what you are talking about before you talk?
You are silly, sound like an atheist
@@dorotheaivanovna9457 yes...it is. He heard you the first time.
