Yeah, it’s the flight that really makes it difficult. I’ve found a bunch of AirBNB where I could stay for a whole month for under $1000 USD, but the flight alone would be around $1500 each way, and it would be my husband, myself, and 2 kids, plus an older kid if he decided to go. So we would be looking at $12,000+ just for the flight there and back. It’s simply not feasible. I did find out I could fly to some place like like Sri Lanka from the US first, and then to Japan, and save SOME money, but it’s still incredibly expensive.
It's the best way to clean a camera lens (particularly of water) without using a cloth, which could smudge or scratch it. In a professional setting, once your lens is scratched it's pretty much useless.

There are potholes that look like they belong in Felujah Iraq. Edit: the zebra crossing though, we have those in England and people stop immediately if they see people waiting at them, strange little differences.

I thought about those streets a few days ago, how they looked like, the people who walked past me.. And then I remembered that I wasn't actually on those streets but it was just a video I watched. For just a short second though it seemed like a memory. Keep up the good work with those videos!
Wow I actually watch the entire thing. Thanks so much for the video! It's just so interesting seeing Tokyo in such a "normal" way, and it was really fun looking at all the different passer-bys.
You are the ultimate Scapegoat; in a good way, that is. You bare the brunt of the elements so that we who rest in the comfort of our own homes, don't have to. I watch a lot of these 'walk in the city' videos, but it's oddly satisfying seeing one in the middle of the rain. Reminds me of the days when my only solace was to go on long silent walks.
This was cool. Thanks for making and posting these videos. I really enjoy them. I’ve been to Japan twice. Tokyo, Sendai, Matsushima, Morioka, Kumamoto and Kyoto. I look forward to watching your other videos!
This is beautiful. My wife and I were near here (Hoshinoya) for our Honeymoon and we passed by this place often to get to Akihabara. What a beautiful video - thank you for letting me relive those steps!
I knew Japan's streets were clean, but I never thought it was this immaculate! It's like noone lives there! 😲 It's not even just the cleanliness, everything is so perfectly maintained. Like a real life sim city
I often use Akihabara station as well as Tokyo station, but never thought of walking from Tokyo (station) to Akihabara! It was a good guide. Thank you for your work!
Always wanted to visit Japan! Such a beautiful clean place no graffiti and no litter on the streets and I've noticed almost everyone uses a umbrella 😂 not something we use very much in England lol
Nice video and beatiful rain. surprisingly few people on the road. at 09:30 looks cool. the 4K camera is wonderful. And I can't believe how different the back roads look. The streets still look pretty good. You rarely see anything like that in Germany. DANKE AKIHABARA BLG it is so german :D Thank you for the short travel :)
Honestly the sheer amount of plants lining every corner and road shows how deep the Japanese and their connection with nature is. Here in America (in the cities I've been to in Ohio) the notable examples were seeing sewer vents with steam coming out of them and rank aromas everywhere 😂 not to mention keeping that nature in a concrete jungle such as this is Paramount to our well being! Keep up the amazing videos as always brother. My 8 month old and I love watching them 😉☺️❤️

Been 2 years since my last visit. I really needed this. This made me feel so much better today. I'd love to see more of this!
This was so relaxing to watch. It was so calm and soothing. I love rain and I miss Japan 💙💙💙
I watched a lot of your videos, but this is my favorite by far. All of that is what I want to see in Japan, rain, colors, people, the contrast, the silence and the noise.
This is the true power of the internet. I've lived in Japan for 1 year and since I came back, it haunts me everyday. I've been having a void inside me eversince and all I can think about is going back permanantly. Thank you for sharing this.
Thank you for blowing the rain out of my eyes...
I can see clearly now the rain is gone...
I can see all the obstacles in my way...
I thought about those streets a few days ago, how they looked like, the people who walked past me.. And then I remembered that I wasn't actually on those streets but it was just a video I watched. For just a short second though it seemed like a memory. Keep up the good work with those videos!
The fact that I randomly found your channel just made me happier than ever in life! No drugs can make me more happy and relaxed than this!
i remember walking those streets....the memories...such a beautiful country and beautiful culture, i wish to return one day and perhaps live there
wow what a relaxing video thank you for your effort
Wow I actually watch the entire thing. Thanks so much for the video! It's just so interesting seeing Tokyo in such a "normal" way, and it was really fun looking at all the different passer-bys.
1:00:21 Steins gate!!! I remember this intersection when I was on holiday in Japan a week ago.
I love all the greenery, especially the flower patches about 9:00. They don't plant flowers like that where I live. I sure wish they did.
These buildings along with the nature is a really beautiful match especially for someone who loves rain☺
This pleases my OCD. I've never such clean sidewalks and streets in a concrete jungle before.
Amazing. Didn't know that the oppisite of cozy an envoirment can be so beautiful.
This was cool. Thanks for making and posting these videos. I really enjoy them. I’ve been to Japan twice. Tokyo, Sendai, Matsushima, Morioka, Kumamoto and Kyoto. I look forward to watching your other videos!
Went to Japan a couple summers ago; cool to see a different side of things - I remember this exact walk too!
Very relaxing and aesthetic. Thank you Rambalac.
Just got back from a holiday in Japan, Tokyo stole my heart, watching this is genuinely getting me emotional haha!
Agree! Also this video reminded me how many Italians are there! :D
So clean and even in the rain so picturesque, I’m looking forward to going there next year
This is giving me flashbacks to when I went to Japan over summer, walking through rainy downtown Shinjuku. Good vibes.
9:45 Imperial Palace gardens across the street. I believe the Palace Hotel is to the viewer's right; the rooms there start at like $500 per night.
Your rain videos are my favourite, they're so calm and relaxing. I really appreciate this channel! 💙 ☔
I often use Akihabara station as well as Tokyo station, but never thought of walking from Tokyo (station) to Akihabara! It was a good guide. Thank you for your work!
Aww I’ve always wanted to go to Japan! I think their culture is so beautiful! I also want to see their new modern stuff too!
Thank you. I love rainy walks and I've named that thing you use to clear the water off the camera, "Little Ducky" . :)
Your videos are visualizing my dreams of Japan in great quality. I love them. Thank you for your hours of walking and hard work! :)
Always wanted to visit Japan! Such a beautiful clean place no graffiti and no litter on the streets and I've noticed almost everyone uses a umbrella 😂 not something we use very much in England lol
Love how the umbrellas are so bright
My 8 month old and I love watching them 😉☺️❤️
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS SO MUCH !!!!!!!! I JUST LOVE THEM !! I WATCH THEM BEFORE I SLEEP HOPING ONE DAY I CAN GO TO JAPAN!
This is why I miss Japan. There is just a sense or respect among citizens when you walk around at anytime. They respect their cities and each other.
everytime i watch his videos, i get strong japanese vibes. hella cool, good job rambalac. i will never stop appreciating your videos and the vibes you give us.
Your videos help me to remember my wonderful trip in Tokyo and make me want to go back so badly. Thank you very much for these!
Rain + Tokyo = perfection
Rain + Houston = flooding
I've planned on going to university and studying japanology and history of art for a long time. Both topics fascinate me and I want to learn more about it and let it become a part of my future job. While studying, I'll have the chance to travel to Japan and study there for a few months or a year. Watching this video is really interesting, I hope I can visit Tokyo when I'm there and see all this places, shops and streets. Beautiful video!
6:40 it just blows my mind how WHITE that paint looks. in the STREET. when its RAINY. its not even DIRTIED from pure white from brown or black water. theres no DIRT in the roads!!!!!
and like, no GUM on the sidewalks?? no POTHOLES?
Dakota Garcia pretty sure it’s just a new road...l
Dakota Garcia
Maybe because it’s new?
a lot of the vehicles seem very clean too compared to the west. could just be the rain?
Japan is super big on cleanliness and keeping the streets trash-free. That was my one big take away when I went in June!
The people of Japan actually care about their environment unlike the nuts jobs in the west 😒
I’m so glad I found this! I just randomly come across it in the middle of the night. Its so nice have it play in windowed and read the comments listening to the noises while glancing at the video whenever he takes out the yellow rain destroyer. It’s just so relaxing and nice! I’ll definitely be coming back to this one
I had a key-chain as a child, with a picture of a building. I had no idea what that building was back then, and till 5 minutes ago. And all of the sudden I saw that exact building in this video, the LAOX one at 56:50 . World seems really small lol
