    I got this for Mother’s Day while on a beach trip! Used it to make frozen coffee, iced coffee, smoothies, and frozen cocktails. It works great as long as you follow the directions. Liquid FIRST up to the fill line and it helps to shake it around some while it’s blending. I mainly used frozen fruits to avoid adding a lot of ice. To clean, I just added water, drops of liquid detergent, and turned it on for a 30 second cycle and it’s pretty much self cleaning. Enjoy! I sure did.

    It would be great to have a 1100ml model, it's too small. It is too small to prepare a protein weight gain shake, 200 grams of almonds + 200 grams of banana + 100 grams of oats + 500ml milk, it is really small.

    As long as you pay attention to how to layer the ingredients works like a charm I love it cause it's not bulky so I can make my frozen fruit and vegetable smoothies.❤

    Honestly have not got a clue I've had one since Christmas and it's fantastic it tells you what order to put your stuff in and how much also it comes with a cup base and a blade cover x also you have a minimum liquid level and it's for smoothies not fir grinding dry ingredients x

    • @JoesPhenomenal
      @JoesPhenomenal  3 місяці тому

      Totally agree! That stuff was just in there to show what it could and couldn't do based on what most people try to do with it. I did the stack order correctly on part of the video that got removed, since it didn't make any different for me, but I should have left that in in retrospect. The higher liquid levels worked really good, but with that much in there, the smoothies are going to be really thick like a lot of people want. That's why I included that test.. Just to show that it's not for stuff like that. What it's designed for, it does really great though. Wasn't meant to poo poo it.

Watching a bunch will really get you a bigger picture, and I just want people to avoid being disappointed when they spend their money... It's harder to come by these days.

      Also they say to shake AS you are blending if you are using thicker or frozen ingredients and he's stopping and shaking and then starting again. It would go so much faster and smoother if he would just give it a shake to get it going as it's blending.

    • @JoesPhenomenal
      @JoesPhenomenal  3 місяці тому +2

      @kiwisoup I was doing the shake thing too... It just didn't make it on camera since it got pretty blurry, but I was asking it to do an awful lot too.... Anything that wasn't super thick worked out pretty good though.... Actually waaay better than the Blendjet2.... At least with what I put in there.

  • @stuartwhinnery
    @stuartwhinnery 4 місяці тому +6

    The reason it stopped was because it runs a 30s cycle.

    • @JoesPhenomenal
      @JoesPhenomenal  3 місяці тому

      You know... I thought that too, but it was stopping after about 12 seconds.... Turns out the smoothie was just a little too thick for it and it was shutting down to protect the motor. Once it loosened up a bit more, it was fine. Pretty decent job for a little travel blender... Worlds better than the Blendjet, imo.

  • @Zetas_Corner

    I mean, it says on a slip of paper in the container that you shouldn't put the frozen fruit in first... I haven't ever made my own smoothie before purchasing this and wanted one without having to go to Smoothie King or Tropical Smoothie and paying the same amount for what I could have made 5+ for. But also didn't want to have to make a lot at once and refrigerate the leftovers. So this seemed like the perfect buy for me. I am only 7 smoothies in, but I haven't had a single problem. I have blended it at least two cycles to make sure everything is completely blended, but that is not to say that it wasn't done on the first cycle. I may have to check that the next smoothie I make.
    I do like your tests and it did make me feel much better about my buy!

    • @JoesPhenomenal
      @JoesPhenomenal  3 місяці тому +1

      Heya! Glad you're enjoying your blender! I tried the proper stack order, but it didn't come out much different for me, and it ended up getting cut since the video was getting really long... I should have left that in and cut something else though it looks like by the comments. LOL. The problem was that I was just trying to produce something too thick for the blender and getting the ratios right was making it on the thin side. That whole test was just in there for people expecting too much from it so they wouldn't have buyers remorse though. Thinning that out a little made it come out worlds better for me.

    Why not shake the portable blender while blending it to prevent it from getting stuck instead of leaving it flat like a plug in?🤷‍♂️

    • @JoesPhenomenal
      @JoesPhenomenal  3 місяці тому

      I did a bunch of shaking on camera, but it looked really bad on video playback so I had to cut it out since it kinda messes with your eyes with the focus freaking out. You can kinda see it in the video for split seconds here and there. The blender really did a nice job. The times it was stopping on me was when I was trying to go way thick like you'd do with a full sized powerful blender. It still did surprisingly well though.

    How do you clean the blades since you probably can't wash that in water?

    • @JoesPhenomenal
      @JoesPhenomenal  6 місяців тому

      The best way to wash it is to put a couple of drops of detergent in it with warm water and blend it a few times... Does a decent job cleaning that way, but the base can't be submerged, so it takes a little care. It's pretty heavy, actually.. Should have weighed it on camera, but I'd say it's close to a pound.
