This is an unofficial Drive Like I Do album I made in my spare time. The album name comes from a quote on the old Drive Like I Do Myspace page. I enhanced the audio by removing background noise, making smooth song transitions, and amplifying the audio as loud as possible without losing quality. I also repaired the audio as best as I could. Some things just aren't repairable, but I did my best. Please leave a comment and tell me what you think. Thanks in advance.

Turn on subtitles for lyrics. Thanks so much for the views and comments over the years. They make me smile. Have a great day :)
Thanks for this video, these songs are amazing.😄
Matty loved a good "hey oh" back in the day didn't he
The original "and she said"
Fingers crossed this is currently getting remastered.
Good news!
Matty said they were going to do that sometime in 2021 but that never came to fruition. My thoughts are theyre probably going to execute that idea (albeit differently) in their upcoming "Being Funny In A Foreign Language" album. In classic 1975 fashion what theyll most likely do is to take inspirations and build up new songs based on old songs. Self referential, that sort of stuff.
@xxmemerxx3139 Well... what say you now? Pretty unfortunate this never came to be so far.
Hopefully. I just revisited this project and who knows. They seem interested in jumping into the Drive Like I Do era next, but they might make new songs in this style to replace certain songs unfortunately..
"some things just aren't repairable" A UA-cam VIDEOS DESCRIPTION SHOULD NOT HURT ME THIS MUCH
Terry Temple lmao
LOL
I’m gonna do that thing where people share a story on these types of videos even though no one asked. A few days ago I got my drivers license. The first time I ever drove by myself I put this on. I was driving into the sunset on a country road I’ve driven down many times. Foreword was the perfect song for this moment. It felt like one of those movie moments that I personally seem to be forever chasing. Every time I hear that song I’m on the edge of crying but in that beautiful sort of way. This won’t be a moment that slips away. As a reward for getting my license my friend bought me a ticket to see them on the 22nd September 2019, it’ll be my first ever concert. Thank you to whoever bothers to read this. Thank you to who put this video together.
Thank you The 1975.
you deserve all the happiness in the world
update: after about a 5 hour wait in line I was able to get third row/mosh type area. I lost my voice about 2 songs in but still yelled almost every lyric in the whole concert. Lots of jumping around and dancing. Matty seemed to be impressed by the energy of the crowd. I remember him looking at me a few times, well probably just the general area but we made eye contact during the “fuck that get money” part of Somebody Else. This concert was the most amazing time of my life.
Again, thank you The 1975.
I’ll leave this the way matty did
goodnight
NuNs Batoy thank you so much
Ayyyy I was at that show too, was an amazing night
You were in Manila?
*hears Matty's yoOoOouuu in Lost Boys and immediately understands everyone's love for this album*
You know the type of music you don’t want to show anyone and keep it all to yourself because it’s just so wonderful? This album is exactly that
I want to eventually be able to share that with someone :)
seen that comment a lot of times during my years on the internet, but I have never felt that, not once. Whenever I find an amazing song I get the urge to share it with someone
Gatekeep Gatekeep Gatekeep
As a fan I can respect where they started and what their influences were, but I can’t deny they made the right choice in their overall change in sound. Bands like this get lost in the weeds all the time. Glad they were able to refine their sound
agreed. im glad they got super popular then now are sort of hinting at this sound on their new album
Their first 1975 album is far superior to the three that followed. In my opinion they changed their sound/style and not for the better
@@byron7583 I kind of like how they grew and are always changing a bit. Each album has a different vibe to it and I can never get bored of listening to them.
But listening to this now they definitely still hold some of these same signature sounds

I've been a huge fan of The 1975 for years now. I love all of their music, but there's something about their old music. I fall in love with their Big Sleep, Drive Like I Do, and Talkhouse music more and more every time I listen to it. It means so much to me and it shows how far they've become as a band.
I agree, their older music is so much better to anyone with good taste. The debut 1975 album is still their best
just lowkey bragging you knew them first yuck! but i agree their old stuff is far more superior. old stuff + debut album 1975 everything newer is just ok
@@JG-gn9oq idk how they're bragging sounds like you're just trying to act large
I love Ghost so much
can you imagine this album on vinyl?? immaculate.
Even with ABIIOR, I still come back to this all the time. thanks so much for putting this together.

Hello I'm here February 17, 2020 discovering old gems of the1975 and thank you so much for this. The first band I loved for real
Couldn’t agree more about the love bit
Here I am at age 38 in October of 2023!
Great work. Such great songs. Thanks.
Thanks for listening
it’s 1am and i’m not even 5 minutes in and i’m already crying - matty’s voice sounds so raw and genuine and it’s fucking beautiful
Finally a video where the lyrics to Wolves are correct "you're Oliver's Army, Costello stello"

Just found this absolute masterpiece because I went to their concert from their SATVB tour in Cologne last night. They played 28 and I never heard it before. Fortunately I found it and I found this unreleased album as well.
I started listening to the boys back in 2011 and THIS right here feels like a travel back in time ⏳
F*ck me, back then everything was so carefree. I want those times back.
i love how they've always had the same sound. makes me proud to represent them

When you've been deprived of them for so long, so you go back to their classics :)
Just when I think robbers couldn't sound better, I love this soo much
Sofia Morones Thanks :)
I adopted my rescue, Lilly, three months ago. She has always cowered, fled from me, shied away from my touch. Her old family of women had abused her and kept her as an outdoor dog since they got her as a puppy. Just now, during Moon, she came up to me, and when I put my hand out to try yet again to touch her, she came forward and put her shoulder into it. She let me pet her, truly pet her. I think, both of us told each other that we would never hurt the other. Moon was the perfect song for that perfect moment.
It's slowly becoming a reality that after 'Music For Cars' (third installment of The 1975 trilogy), Drive Like I Do will release a debut album in a spring after the last The 1975 record. Hopefully John continues with them. We shall see, fandom.
Erik Suarez well, unfortunately in DLID there was a 5th member, Owen Davies, so maybe that will be the "additional member" Matty speaks of
Charlee Whitmore owensdavies is his Instagram and owensdavies27 is his Snapchat. He hasn't made any hints or posts at coming back and playing. You can see on his post with a red Strat and a Marshall stack he says "throwback to when I had a good set up" something like that and #drivelikeido under it.
I doubt they’re just going to abandon The 1975 forever. They’re going to put it to the side, 100%. But with the amount of success The 1975 has gotten, I highly doubt they’re just gonna dip from that project. It wouldn’t be smart. And besides, Matty says he wants to headline Reading and Glastonbury one day. If one of those projects is going to be the one that gets them to that level, it’s GOING to be The 1975

102 is like the most beautiful song I've ever heard
I’m so excited for the world to hear these masterpieces but I’m not ready to share this secret with everyone yet.
I've been falling in love with this band lately and this only strengthens it. They're really experimented quite a lot...a whole lot of genres were covered in this collection!
PS. This version of Robbers, in my opinion, is the best....
Based on the stuff that Matty said, I think it would not be unrealistic to say that their next album would be 'Drive Like I Do' by the 1975 with the blue logo and aesthetic, recorded in mattys loft (mentioned in an nme interview). Maybe shoegazier/ more guitary sound. Matty also said that music would come out in 2017 but the album would not be til 2018, so maybe a little 'Drive Like I Do' project will come out next year, not released as the 1975.

Jack Bradley lmfao ya theres maybe like 2 songs that sound like this. ): still a pretty good album
I love this so much. It's so raw and there's such a wide show of influence to the band. You can see the groundwork for all of the band's later material, like the ambient stuff, the poppier stuff, and the heavier stuff that died off (outside of the album version of Sex)

In all seriousness, thinking of these songs all getting released remastered in a month or so is giving me the strength to get through this pandemic.
no fr 😫
today's the day i listen to this finally after 5 years
I am a fully grown up adult man...I can't believe how the the 1975 make me feel!!
a while ago, i wanted for this music to be officially released, be on their newest album. but i’m glad they didn’t - i like having this little thing all to ourselves, though i don’t intend to gatekeep by any means. and for a similar reason, i’m also conflicted. specifically, as someone who has been listening to them for ages, it’s wonderful to see them grow and earn the recognition they deserve, but also, i almost wish that they remained smaller and intimate and more personal to me.
This is my story: I met them in 2017 (the band) and I became a fan over time, in 2019 a friend who also listened to the boys told me that he had gotten a folder with old music from the 1975, a day at a party it was about 8 am and we were all drunk so my friend put the folder with the music (drive like i do) and I loved it, that folder accompanied me on a trip to Brazil in 2020 before the pandemic that was felt a bit lonely because I went with my father and his family and the truth is I am not that close to them and I did not have internet to be in contact with my friends and the only thing that accompanied me during the trip was this music, so now every time I listen, I remember that day drunk at the party with my friend chatting about life and my trip sitting in the back of the car looking out the window and listening to "Lost Boys"
Hello, this is 18 year old- 2021 me, been listening to The 1975 since 2016, but I truly recently just got deep into all of their music, during the whole Covid-19 shut down to now. I found comfort in their music. Currently i’m just now discovering- I guess you could say The old 1975… and i’m in love. These are some gems. It’s so raw and beautiful. I’m beyond amazed.
I like their old vibes much better.. I miss how I fell in luv with The 1975 in the first place. Wish their new album reflects songs like these 😫
100% agree. Been a fan since 2013, their just not the same (musically)
This makes my heart explode
This is honestly so refreshing and nostalgic. I really wish I could find more music like this.
Foreword will forever put tears in my eyes. That shit beautiful.
18 year old Leah... I know it's hard. I know you feel trapped. But I also know you that you understand this is quite possibly the best time of your life. And you're right. It's beautiful and hard and soul-crushing all at the same time. Things will get better but it's important to remember that you are so free right now. Life is incredible - live it.
This is amazing, thank you for making this! 🖤

This I great thanks for doing this! 🙏🏻 Love this
Just discovering their older sound. Thanks so much!
I'm having a re-listen of this and gosh, after Matt said in an interview he and George were working on DLiD remastered (on Zane's I think), I'm so pumped up for Ghosts, Lost Boys, 28 and the album in general. Ngl, I loved Notes but it felt kinda misleading in the sense that M&Yts + Too Shy sounded 80-ish, and ppl Trash Rock and Frail edm and yeah, you get the point (the songs were amazing but all over the place). So him saying they're ACTUALLY putting out unreleased stuff (much possibly remastered and DLiD stuff specifically), I'm just really excited
I really hope this is true
fingers crossed
Oh well that was a bummer
Thank you so much for this! ❤
