Honestly as much as the end times was mismanaged as an overall story, it’s full of badass moments for specific characters, which is at least something for a story that killed them all off. Like Grombrindal throwing open the doors of the dwarven ancestor halls and having their contribution to the final battle be the ghost of every dwarf that’d ever lived an honorable life picking up an axe and swarming the endless hordes of chaos to avenge all the grudges left in the book

Arkhan gets a lot of great moments, like dying by using up every ounce of his own magic, including what’s keeping his bones animated, to blast back a daemon horde and let Neferata escape after they kiss

I mean honestly nobody should have been in the Shadow in the Blade because it should have been divided up into two DLCs, one with Dwarfs vs either Skaven or Dark Elves and one for Vampire Counts vs either Skaven or Dark Elves so we could have gotten a DLC for every core game 1 race vs every core game 2 race, so we CA wouldn’t be able to put off giving the Dwarfs and the Vampire counts their second DLC for another couple of years.

He'd look too much like Alith Anar otherwise.
Pretty much- there'd be too much chance of someone mixing him up with Malekith due to their similar aesthetics (less so Lokhir, who looks visually distinct from the two.)
I understood everything in Rakarth's game mechanics, there is one thing I didn't understand. Phoenixes, Vargheists, Arachnarok Spiders, and all other dragons are also beasts. However, Rakarth cannot access them. It would be better if they kept their number within a certain limit and add them to his game mechanics. Because the beast master must be able to control all the monsters.
Because of alignment and balance. You can divide the factions into basically the good(order), the bad(chaos), and the ugly(necromancy, greenskin, and dark elf/ogre. Anyone who is solely interested in their self interests). You can basically put this on a classic dnd chart with similar results. Undead requires necomantic skill to use. Phoenix and dragons fight out of mutual respect and time honored tradition. Greenskins are walking fungi and work off pheremones more or less.

Found Rakarth really fun to play against in my Allarielle campaign because of the variety of monsters he would field. I normally don't fight battles manually but I would do it just so I could mire his army composition. In campaign tho he was annoying af. Perfect representation of "how many times do we have to teach you this lesson, old man?"
That was a good video, the Rhyme at the end was nice too. I am happy the look they went with, as it looks more reminiscent of the 4th edition Rakarth model. The dragon also has red tips (on its horns) and a blue colouring which is also reminiscent of the official 4th edition paint scheme, which is a very nice touch IMO.
Still think he should have come with a new Beastmaster Lord. Throughout the campaign while playing as him it talks about his entourage of Beastmasters that are trying to impress him and such, and it would make more sense when your other armies capture beasts from settlements and such.

Fun fact for anyone playing Nakai in mortal empires after this update. Starting on Albion vs 2 weak norsca cities is the easy part, Rakarth is the third settlement on the island and he starts with a war hydra,feral cold ones,harpies and a manticore in his army alongside a healthy complement of shielded and armoured troops backed by a bolt thrower Diplomacy the fuck out of him or take him on tactfully over an extended skirmish baiting his stronger units away from the main force... either way he is a fun new starting challenge for the wanderers.
The fact that this is so amazing for FLC only fills me with dread that if the beastman DLC finally comes down, it'll still be shit so the hot new meme is rakarth taming the beastmen
