The year was 2004, aged 22, Melbourne, and many a night spent partying at Q bar dancing to this track.. best of mates, best of times, and the best of memories. What I'd give to go back and relive it one more time...
I was there too Tim!! 21 years old at the time, at Q bar every week!! There are no clubs like that in Melb anymore, that was an awesome time to party in Melb...we were lucky! :-)
2001-2004 in Melbourne was my clubbing honeymoon period. Sunnysideup, Teriyaki, Billboards, The Lounge, Revs, 161, Honkytonks, Room 680. Good times! 🥴. I remember Boogs rinsing this alot especially at Revolver on Sundays.

The summer of 2003. I was 22. I left home to work and live at a club on the beach in Sorrento. My friend (and fellow bartender) Jake and I lived in the hostel above, and my god. The times we had. This song just reminds me of the first time I walked through the dance floor to collect glasses and two girls started dancing with me to this song. They literally would not let me work until i kissed them both. I looked over to Jake at the bar and he just nodded with this huge smile on his face. This song just reminds me of loud, hot, sticky, summer clubs on the beach, packed from wall to wall with city tourists, with no air conditioning. Slamming down drinks and lewi as we worked and danced. What a time to be alive.
Agree - Melbourne's anthem, from its halcyon days in the early 2000s when it was the best place in the world. This samples Jack and Jill by Raydio (1978).
The lyrics of this track just floated through my head the other night. I had no idea what song it was from. All I needed to do was hit google up, and ask my friendly search engine "how can I say my friend". Now, here I am listening to the song, full of nostalgia and remincising the exact house party I was at 10 years ago when I heard it.
Heard this song many many years ago 1 night in a club off my face. Been searching for it ever since. Heard it today again on wind-back Wednesday on fresh fm and had to hit up shazzam. Farkin love this tune

Most likely! @@Jezatplay I know Revolver is still going strong as a venue but there was something really fun about the music in the early 00's period.
