    I read that it only takes 55 pounds of pressure on the chest to suffocate a normal person in minutes so with that being said I’ll always have respect for those who work in these environments thank you for this informative documentary

      @@dirttrackdevil1149 Check out nrystar. They work 4 - 12 hour shifts then off 3 days and they rotate when you come back after your 3 days off. So you work 12 hours on days then 12 hours on nights. Must have a good background record. They will train you if hired. If you are in maintenance like i was they will work you around the clock sometimes 7 days a week and burn you out fast. Depending on what you do you can make from 16.00 to 35.00 an hour. Over all a good place to work. Good luck. Go to main office at Beaver Creek and apply.

    Nicely Done Donnie 👍 The Process is Demanding on Equipment and Manpower, Ground Control is a Very Important part and without it could lead to extremely dangerous situation's for anyone in the area.

      I love these videos you work for nyrstar? I am looking into working there as a miner the pay is kinda low starting out at 15.69 what are the pay raises like and promotions I'm an extremely hard worker and can work 14 days in a row with no lunch breaks and no days off 14 hour shifts so I Know the company will like me but I'd like to work my way up to making in the 20 to 25 an hour range anyone with any information or better underground hardrock companies in the East TN area would be appreciated thank you I'm just looking hard for a career in underground mining and want to make the right choices

    I started watching people on you tube going in abandoned mines about 3 years ago.I had never really thought about mining before but after watching 2 videos i started reading about mining history and mine collapses.All the men and boys who ever died in the mines is so sad and horrible.I pray in my heart a lot for God to keep all the miners safe.

    Donnie they got a big zinc plant up near Clarksville Tennesse on the Cumberland river. I wonder if this ore goes there?

    • @donnielaws7020
      @donnielaws7020  3 роки тому +2

      YES, All of nystar ore from the state of Tennessee goes there to be smelted into zinc bars for sale. It's all their operation there to. Thanks for the comment.

    Very informative, I've never been in a working mine, only abandoned and unsafe ones. Thanks. Brave men working there. BTW have you heard "Coal keeps the lights on" by Kentucky boy Jimmy Rose? Love that song.

    Need help anyone working zinc..
    The virus can't live on zinc and maybe copper surfaces. Im curious if it's possible to make some nanoparticles that could be inhaled and eventually coughed up while killing the virus. A man studying coronaviruses in the 70s has proven the virus would also die using zinc based lossenges. I would like to know if any groups of people have resisted the virus. Also I would like to know anyone working in the zinc and copper fields if they have shown resistance. Thank you

      I worked 10 years in Zinc and still got colds. I maybe inhaled some dust, But i didn't eat it.

      Interesting thought but I get the idea that mine zinc and medical (or nutritive) zinc are distinctly different things. However zinc acetate may be effective at shortening the duration of the common cold. Ask a doctor (which I am not).

      @@donnielaws7020 I've actually asked you questions on here alot an I can't wait for more mining videos em coming I really enjoy them I've been looking into coal mines but I figured out it's just a dead industry so I've decided to go to nyrstar in strawberry planes and I'd like to hear it from the horses mouth what is about the average pay for a miner at nyrstar and the the pay with promotion I'm willing to start out at 15.69 an hour even though that's kinda low but I wanted to know what the pay raises were like and average how long to get there id really like to make around 20 to 25 range somewhere in there and also I've heard from other people that the ppe through nyrstar kinda sucks can you provide your own any info would be greatly appreciated i have known a few people that worked there they said it was a great company nice people but they're also a little on the lazy side and kinda act like they were worked like slaves so they just make up stuff bout the place they worked so I don't really trust their input

    Zinc mining is Room and Pillar mining and coal mining is longwall mining

    • @donnielaws7020
      @donnielaws7020  7 місяців тому

      Coal mining is both my friend. I never worked a long wall in all my 25 years underground mining. Always was room and pillaring. Done a lot of what we call robing. I worked Zinc for 10 years and more like a underground strip job. If ever looked at a ant farm in a glass case, that's more what it looks like my friend. They just chase the ore. Coal mining follows the seam. Hope that helps you my friend.
