Considering the age, and the amount of trouble to access it, I would have popped on a new cap while you had it stripped.
I had mine start to lose pressure in the middle of a trip. Not fun job done in a parking lot. Haha.

Hi, great content thanks.
I brought Castrol coolant and it says 'don't use in magnesium alloy engines'.
Does my honda cb600fa 2007 have a magnesium alloy engine?
