How would you test designs for online communities / niches? Would you recommend surveying the idea to some customers?
instagram, Tik Tok or Facebook if thats where your audience is. A poll on the mock up or on a model depending on your audience

"The Market" can be so unpredictable. You can release 5 designs all in the same niche all the same quality and all very similar in style and one blows up and nobody wants to buy the others. People like what they like, I guess.

I'm just about to start my clothing brand business and I did just that. I went ahead and ordered transfers not even knowing if they are going to sale. Thank you for this video because I will know next time by testing it out 1st by wearing it.

Location is a lot too, I’m from Va beach, Va home of the hate, I wear shirts I’ve designed where online people tell me they’re so dope, but I wear them around here nobody says anything at all, but let me wear that same shirt in Atlanta, or New York, I get stopped all the time

How do you draw your designs? I'm still trying to find the program. I got PS and Illustrator but damn it's crazy just to learn how to use them and not destroy the idea in the process.
i hand draw my designs then put it into software like photoshop and illustrator and redraw it there. i got vids showing the process. check the playlists or just type it in the youtube search bar "big brandoh graphic design" you can learn how to use that software on youtube. lots of helpful tutorials out there
How many times can you use a DTF transfers?
What about the full color kinds you get from Supacolor? The ones with gradients?
full color i usually layer the vinyl or make a single color version with vinyl just to test
for full color designs, which transfer/process you recommend for the best result? DTG, DTF, white toner prints, etc.
none of those. i like screen printed transfers. for multi color transfers i always use Supacolor. best quality, best consistency, best durability. check the link in my description box. get a sample pack to try'em out first. before you place your order. make sure you can lay them down before you spend your money.

Which printer do you use to print images to put on shirts like a photo etc.
for photos i would go with Supacolor. check out the link in the description box
Wouldn't getting a sample print from sites like Printful or RedBubble also be a cost-effective option also?
sort of. people have sent me their shirts from those POD sites. and the quality has always been messy. either the print is crooked or misplaced, shirt is miss sized or the wrong color or the wrong blank. theres no quality control. if you wanted to do that route i would go with a local DTG printer so you can be more hands on and in person.
Why get the transfers instead of just making more vinyl copy’s of your designs? Is it a time thing or quality?
vinyl is too time consuming if your moving a lot of shirts a day. i buy my transfers by the 100's. i move shirts daily, so if i had to cut and weed all those designs daily, it would be a waste of time. easier for me to order transfers and keep the shirts moving

hey, brother hope you are doing well. a friend of mine gave me an Epson F170 sublimation printer. because I told him I wanted to do T-shirts and stuff. but can you help me and show me how does this machine work? how to transfer a design to a shirt, please? I am just starting. I will appreciate your help.
i know nothing about that printer so im the worst person to learn from hahaha. i suggest learning what sublimation is and what is required. using the actual printer might require a printer driver or extra software. im not sure.
