If it was my boat, I'd attach two outriggers to the boat, about 30 feet out from either side, using several plastic 55 gallon drums in a row. A single-hulled boat has a tendency to roll very very easily, like a canoe. The problem with loading this harvesting machine is not the weight, it's the high center of gravity.
Wow. I've done some dangerous things working around combines, but that is a whole new level of living on the edge. I love it's not tied down or wheels chocked. If she goes over, boat ain't tied to it
Same here, we send combines all over the place (you want to see getting a combine in a 40 foot container) and even now after 5 years it still gives me the "willies"loading them on artic trailers (especially wheel well type) as the front wheels half overhang the sides ---- rather them with that combine on that boat.
They can get two boats together, side by side but not connected. Just fasten them with beams or scrapped truck chassis rails, then roll the harvester in position. It would be a much stable platform. Their method is too risky for such an expensive machinery, even a wave from passing boats can destabilise the load and tip it in.🚜
*Amazing!* They knew they had the water displacement could hold the combine, that the hull could take the load and that they would get to their destination without tipping. 'Little wonder India is poised to be the next bread basket and economic miracle of the world.
That's totally insane. No way would I ever be comfortable with putting that big combine on that little boat. Don't they have a ferry boat or a small tugboat/barge that can take that kind of equipment back and forth across the water. I know you got to do what you got to do but damn. Definitely would have like to seen the whole trip with that.
A measly piranha-sized fish jumping on board or one of them taking a leak over the side is about all it'd take to unbalance that thing! Hell..just sweating from the stress and the subsequent evaporation oughta do it!😳✌️🙏

Hello, yes.. so even if we follow all the safety procedure and transportation guidance plus severe safety buffer... we loose the 1 million dollars harvester.... No.... it was in mint condition ... not a single spot of rust... What.. you do not cover? Why?
I am surprised that they did not 'raft' two boats to make a temporary catamaran. I have loaded and carried heavy equipment on boats like this (25 ton disp). The element of danger is greatly diminished by usinig two boats, although twice as costly up front. It seems that they were successful so 'the more power to them'.😨
