@@103mrg I think it's more. In the cover for Elvis Presley's How Great Thou Art she goes incredibly low in a quite solid way. According to some people her range is from D2 to D5.. You might wanna check out that Elvis song.. It's impressive. I'm not any expert myself so I can't be sure though.

As I wrote earlier, just shy of 3 octaves. Not to say 3 octaves is shabby. It was good enough for Whitney; Adele does just fine with it.

I had to even play those different pitches in UA-cam(!) and think again and maybe that C3 or something like that is more realistic and in the higher end she goes quite high.. She was just 13 years old when that Elvis cover was recorded and it's quite impressive performance for such a young girl in the lower end I think..Maybe that 3 octaves is enough if there are so many well respected singers with that. She hired the guitarist on a visit to LA and they throw ideas at each other until they arrive at something they either know or can learn quickly. If there's a mistake, by his own admission it is often the guitarist's fault but if Angelina makes one, she is not too much of a perfectionist to upload it anyway.

Bliss, is my word for Angelina. Your comments are very inciteful. Ivan Mendez is the guitarist in this performance. He practiced with Angelina after she moved from Norway to LA. Ivan said that they would discuss and pick a song and then he would work out the chords and they would perform it, usually with one take.
They interviewed her Guitar player and he said this. Most every song they did was not even practiced and was done in one take. He said also that he would not even know the song and Angelina said that is ok just follow me. One word to describe her..Hard to do as I believe that word has not been invented here yet. I've been on the Angelina train for a few years now. This is one of my favorites of her covers. One thing that makes AJ special, is she makes you believe her. She sings about experiences that she's obviously never had, but from the emotional outlay of her vocals, you would swear she has. Yet, there she is... 12 years old. Making grown people cry. Britt, hard to come up with a single word that encapsulates the sum of her talent.. but there's a word that describes what it does to me.. she CAPTIVATES me... We're gladly and willingly captured by all that she is and all we can't describe🤔🤔🤔. Like each piece of glass, cut and shaped to capture light, reflecting it back in an unending change of colors... If you take a hundred of them.. different sizes and hang them to form a PRODIGY, A one of a kind chandelier... You end up with what Angelina's talent, gifts, vocal ornaments would look like hung on it.. and it never looks the same.. there's always a unique portrait of light and talent.. there's ALWAYS Angelina..and we can't nor want to look away. I particularly liked your insight on her reading the lyrics. From what I've read, Ivan comes by for dinner with her family, after which he and AJ select a song. They then take about 15 minutes to determine what they'll do. Ivan has said they usually finish in one or two takes. Such talent.

Bliss, is my word for Angelina. Your comments are very inciteful. Ivan Mendez is the guitarist in this performance. He practiced with Angelina after she moved from Norway to LA. Ivan said that they would discuss and pick a song and then he would work out the chords and they would perform it, usually with one take.

They interviewed her Guitar player and he said this. Most every song they did was not even practiced and was done in one take. He said also that he would not even know the song and Angelina said that is ok just follow me. One word to describe her..Hard to do as I believe that word has not been invented here yet. I've been on the Angelina train for a few years now. This is one of my favorites of her covers.
One thing that makes AJ special, is she makes you believe her. She sings about experiences that she's obviously never had, but from the emotional outlay of her vocals, you would swear she has. Yet, there she is... 12 years old. Making grown people cry.
I don't know how, but she understands the lyrical content, the story of the song, at a level that she has no business grasping.
She's a treasure.

Great, informed reaction. Just subbed. AJ's vibrato is so distinct -- fully agree -- but also her vocal fry is just so controlled and on pitch. I mean, who pitches vocal fry? And then add the breathiness as contrast to the fry . . . it's over the top control. AJ is about class and control. And then the weird thing is, all the emotion gets added as well. She holds the emotion back, then releases it in fry and breathiness. It's just astonishing how she commands her voice. She just controls my reaction to her performance in a way that I've never heard before. This is her genius. Welcome to the AJ freight train.

Listen to her sing I Put a Spell on You when she was just 9 years old, a year after she had won Norway's Got Talent singing American jazz standards. It's the most viewed video of her around 150 covers and a few originals. Many millions have seen the black and white version filmed in the recording studio with a live band. Hundreds have reacted to it.
