A gen 1 would be alot harder than a gen 2 take that from someone who has done both and a gen 2 is much easier to get right

The radio going crazy with the button pushes in a big issue with any vehicle that uses the Uconnect system. I believe the class- action lawsuit against Stellantis is still ongoing about all the issues with it. The radio in my 2017 300C is doing that because its de laminating and the air bubble between the screen causes the ghost button pushes on the touchscreen, which the dealership can't/won't fix unless I buy a whole new head unit. Fingers crossed it doesn't get worse for you. Mine is acting so bad you can't even use it half of the time, its so glitchy. I don't normally go in for white cars but the wrap on the Gen 2 in straight fire! Love your content!
It’s primarily coming from the heat within the unit because there’s no cooling unit within that unconnected head unit which is CRAZY!!!! I had the same thing happen to my 2018 charger R/T. But I got at 16 challenger scat shaker now so I’m getting my windows and windshield tinted so it keeps as much heat out of it as it can

Had the same problem with my screen on a 2018 300s. Had to change the screen..bought on ebay for around $400-$500. Way cheaper then replacing the entire radio assembly.

If you push the white 2x on the remote it will do a dim white... its what I run in my 300....so it's not quite so bright but you still get the star effect

Aye Khal that screen randomly mashing buttons is caused by a defect in the radio. Happened on my 17 392 Chally Shaker. You’ll have to replace the whole infotainment. Just sharing from my experience. I had to ride about 1 week straight with my car muted!! Just me and the humming of that V8.
hold the top right of the hellaphant screen for like 40 seconds until the screen flashes. it might seem longer but keep holding it, itll reset

Hey khal you should look into getting it put in an unltrasonic wash machine it will bring any engine part back to a brand new finish. I’m sure there is a good detail shop around you that should have one. We use them for putting our quad engine parts in to bring them back to life and original chrome or polished look.. and you snapped on the wrap looks great!!!

Check the foam pieces between display and bezel. Most likely worn out. Happened to my 2014. Used a similar foam seal I had.
