    Thank you for this excellent Ural content! Air cooled aircraft engines typically cruise at a maximum of 75% power. Above this percentage the fuel flow is greatly increased with very little speed increase, and engine wear curve steepens sharply. Overheating can happen with sustained operation above 75% power as well. IMO the comparison of a typical air-cooled aircraft engine with a flat 4 or flat 6 configuration is apropos as the Ural engine is of a similar design era as the aircraft air-cooled engine. Just as the Urals have gone high-tech with fuel injection/ignition so have air cooled aircraft engines but the power percentage guidelines still apply.

    Nice info, thanks mate. I'm considering this mod on my 2021 GU. Tossing up between your solution, or an after-market tachometer. Your solution is both cheaper (by a loooong way!) and reduces handlebar/dash clutter.
