    I have been to grooming school and we were never shown how to hold scissors & thinning shears. It never occured to put the shampoo in a bowl and sponge over dog. I have learned more from you w/video than I did in school. I enjoy watching you groom. Thank you for helping other groomers not as skilled as you are.

      I went to grooming school in Orlando Florida, USA and it was such a waste of money and time. I’ve learned way more in UA-cam videos and with other groomers tips. You never stopped learning.

    I particularly like the way you mix the shampoo in a bowl and apply with a 'sponge.' Wow, great tip for the bubble! You did a lovely job. Thank you for sharing.

    If my poodle would watch this he would thank me again for deciding not to take him on competitions. Some say great potential got lost but hey I saved him from hours and hours of combing, drying, scissoring and stress. Beautiful grooming though. I saw mine only once like this, and that was the day I got him. Now he is all short and sporty.

      My standard is the same, short and sweet. We live in the countryside and many things became trapped in his coat when we walked in the forest so it was easier to just keep it short.

    Beautiful work. I so enjoyed your commentary and I picked up a few tips.I love your emphasis on rounding the contours, on the few occasions that I have taken my dog to a groomer he has come back with angles and I have to recontour him and I find it hard to believe that a professional groomer doesn't realize that the dog should have rounded or soft contours and blended in. Thank you.

    I have a white & brown parti, and I'm able to use a #15 on her face, but I have to use a #10 on her feet. The skin on her feet is a lot more pink, where her skin in the face is brown.

      @TransgroomTV  3 роки тому

      Hello , nice to meet you here on our TransgroomTV UA-cam channel.
      Yes sometimes the skin can get very irritated . Depending from dog to dog .A Skin for white coated bodyparts or dogs can be easy see red. So wonderful if you shave her feet with #10 . Better for your dog . Let me know if we can help you further. in the meantime thank you for watching our video. Kind regards .

    Does show grow hair in her face ? Or it’s shaved because I always wanted medium poodles but not sure if I could achieve the teddy clip on them.

    • @TransgroomTV
      @TransgroomTV  4 роки тому

      Hi there, this style is the second puppy clip and the face is shaved. If you want to see a teddy bear clip, you can watch Jack the Standard Poodle (ua-cam.com/video/1rm2DRjVs2I/v-deo.html). For the teddy bear clip you don't shave the face but leave it like a teddy bear. Kind regards

    Wondering whether or not I can use corn starch instead of the show tech powder to pull out the ear hair. Anybody know?

    • @TransgroomTV
      @TransgroomTV  3 роки тому

      Well back in the Days, this was the product to use , corn starch , but now, the groomingworld has a lot of better and efficient products. that are designed for dogs. Some dogs created an allergic reaction to Corn starch . so please keep that in mind.
      The show tech Ear powder gives relief for irritated & itching ears . Please check the link below for the product :

    Beautiful as always! What kind of clippers do you use? I've been trying to find a good set. I noticed you use cordless? What do you prefer? Thank you!!

    • @TransgroomTV
      @TransgroomTV  4 роки тому

      Here we're using the Heiniger Stylemidi clipper (transgroom.com/en/products/heiniger-stylemidi-trimmer-met-li-ionic-battery-trimmer-for-dogs-cats-and-horses) and the Heiniger SaphirStyle cordless clipper (transgroom.com/en/products/heiniger-saphirstyle-cl-animal-clipper-with-10-blade-pink-cordless-clipper).
      When you use cordless clipper, you have no restrictions with e cord and you don't need a power outlet near to you. Usually with cord clippers you have a bit more power as they are connected to the source, but you don't have as much freedom to move around. Kind regards

    Hello Kitty. I'm just wondering what size a dog is? Do you know what the height and weight of the dog's withers is. I can relate a little to a dog .. and you seem to use thinning scissors to poodle what is the name of those scissors and what do you usually use them for? Or what part of the dog.
    Thanks for the educational videos =)

    • @TransgroomTV
      @TransgroomTV  5 років тому +1

      Hello Mertsi , thank you for your reaction on our video. I am very pleased I can help your further. I am using the Ergo line chunker, 8 inch from our own brand Yento. It's a very good thinning scissor for thick and full coats like this poodle. This poodle Max is a medium size Poodle, the height of Max is around 43 cm and is around 8 kilo. If I can help you with any other question, please let us known !!

    Kitty, which slicker brush would you recommend?

    • @TransgroomTV
      @TransgroomTV  5 років тому +3

      My favourite slicker brush is the Yento mega pin Tangle teaser but it's depending on how difficult the coat is, this is a very good brush for a dense coat. For brushing the topline I would use the Show Tech pin brush or if it's puppy coat the yento pin brush which is softer. A pin brush is used for show dogs because it will not break or damage the coat. I hope this was helpful, many grooming greetings Kitty 😉

    Hi Kitty, thank you for the video. Could you please explain to me why in this video you brushed the dog's coat while it was still wet? I am just comparing this video with the video "Grooming Jack the standard poodle" (ua-cam.com/video/1rm2DRjVs2I/v-deo.html) where you dry Jack's coat first with the Power Blaster until it was fully dry and you brushed him after with a slicker brush. Thank you!

      Hello , thank you for your Question , the difference between Max and the standard Poodle Jack, is that Max is a show dog so we brush the hair very carefully and we can't damage the hair with the heat of the dryer. on the other hand, Jack is a commercial clip and the way of working on both dogs is different. hope we helped you with that answer. kind regards, Kitty
