Love Ocho learning the game of basketball. Good for you Ocho
Ikr he"s doing a good job!!!
Fans ask the players to take pay cuts, but never ask owners to go over the cap and pay the tax.
Bron isn't a max player anymore. He was gassed in the playoffs in round 1 and can't play consistent defense anymore.
@@upfulsoul826gassed and still either the first or second best player on his team ever playoff game it’s not just about winning it’s about selling tickets too still a business too Lebron brings a lot of money
@@dolphin_fed743 not either, just second best player, but not even the best second player. he scores but that destroys the flow and he dont play defense. he gotta retire.
The Lakers do pay the tax lol. It's not for the team to get under the cap its so they can pay better players who don't have lebron's off court revenue streams that can't afford to take less on an nba deal.because they aren't billionaires like Lebron
@@mserikatodoh you were not watching the games, zero chance
I remember when Kobe didn’t take a pay cut and everyone called him selfish and blamed him for the Lakers not being able to get pieces
Say it louder for the ones in back
Yup that’s how it works Lebron gets excuses made for him, Kobe gets the hate. Which is why I think it’s funny people try to bring up Kobes MVPs when trying to compare
Even if that’s true, lebron has taken a pay cut before when many players at the apex of their body/career wouldn’t
Scream it one more time plz!!!!!
This got nothing to do with Kobe lol nice try tho
I'm constantly thinking about how to raise my rates. "Pay cut" is definitely not in my vocabulary.
I'm not mad at Bron, get all you can while you can.
You damn right LeBron should get everything he deserves for himself and his family.
😂 hes already got 1.5 billion dollars. Even max contract is chump change to him at this point. He should take a pay cut and get some good players.
Anyone else have the worst day, listen to Nightcap and automatically feel better?
Real
No
Every time These 2 Are My Thereapist
Rell can never look bad bruh had hit the jackpot lol
Ocho basically had his choice lol you’re shocked?
@@jasonphillips7960kinda. Cuz the kids. But they are all grown now
yea, she’s naturally pretty and seems down to earth.
Weirdo
He might take a pay cut it it means they'd need room for Bronny.
Yeesssirrrrr. Dropp off the hoohaw ladies 😂😂Mondays n thurzz lmfao
This show is one of one. Love this Pod. Thanks, Unc and Ocho.
Unc got quotes for days 😂😂😂
Shannon and ocho talking to chat like streamers is so funny. I love it
No. DO NOT take a pay cut. Yeah it says you are loyal to the team and the city. But that team ownership does not necessarily have loyalty to the PLAYER or THE CITY. I have seen it happen so many times A player gives the team the discount then the owners get cheap and sell off most of the really good members of that team.
Lakers are dedicated to Lebron, he leaves they are dead in the water. He will never have to give a discount.
OCHO PLEASE DON'T CRY😂😂😂
Monday’s and Thursdays she got to drop it off😂😂😂😂
25/8/7 and 40 years old is CRAZY work
Career high three point percentage too.
Shows how trash the league is.
Lebron is going to sign a two year deal with a player option for the 3rd
So you comparing a billionaire to 150k earning individual 😂common man
I think it's a bad comparison compare a business/ Corp to a team sport contract, If LeBron taking a year deal means the team can put more pieces around him and AD that can eventually help the team win. Do you want to win and help the team or do you want to lose and get paid billionaire Bron. If he was the sixth man on the bench I understand.
Shannon dumb logic max money to a guy that's gotten the max like 6 times in his career at this point is about making money or winning I'm confused if he wants the bag then his team will always be ass it's that simple can't win with him being the best player and highest paid
Forreal, in regular job situations we are not worried about the legacy that we are going to leave behind, that is literally a job just to get a check and bounce. Whereas LeBron wanted to be the goat, in order to do that, he has to win more championships than he currently has. Shannon talking about “take one for the team”. Even if you’re making $150,000, that’s not 50 million. LeBron can make no money on his NBA contract, I’m talking veteran minimum, and it would not affect him in the slightest. I’m sure he’s invested as money in real estate and other profitable ventures, not saying he should do the vet minimum, but really he could afford to, do a $25 million a year contract and there would be nothing lost for him. Maybe Shannon is doing this angle because his checks paid from Klutch is possible because of that NBA salary 😂
Why can't he do both? This off season there was plenty of small trades that could have been done. It's the front office job to figure that out. If you took less at you job, that's more money for them to higher other people
@jordanrandolph9868 would more money have made Darvin a better coach? Would it have made them trade the I've picks before the deadline?
@MaximusR93 he feels he is the greatest. At that point does he? If it's about rings shouldn't Kareem and Bill be ahead? More accomplishments and same amount of rings or more
A pay cut in Miami, Florida where there are no state taxes is a max in Los Angeles
150k compared to 50 mil? Cmon unc!
Ocho got me dying
RETIRE ALREADY
Yup a NBA player taking a 20% pay cut on a 50 million contract compared to my 60k a year job. Yup.
Damn you make 60 k?
I'm a manager making 45
@@dustinboskovich2506 you’ll hit 100k man, keep grinding and doing right for yourself. You got this.
Exactly Shannon as broke as he grew up should understand this
yeah the avg person taking that kind of cut could mean the difference between eating or being homeless.
Big difference at taking a pay cut of 150k compared to 50m 🤷♂️ what a stupid take, you can play one season with 10m and you set for life unless u buy a house with 50 rooms and 30 bathrooms for no reason
Or unless you’re lebron.. who’s practically a billionaire, his kids have their own endowments, wife got her own business.. why tf he need a max?😂😂
No one said he doesn’t deserve it.. but if you wanna be the goat, you not getting it on your current salary with our current roster.
@@puppychow1000I mean if he does that….the haters new excuses he’s on a stack team ofc he’d win bs bro got 4 rings it is what it is bill russle got 11 and Jordan got 6 legoat not getting close to 11 rings no time soon 😭
Bruh you know dam ain’t nobody making ANY amount of money is taking a dam pay cut so why should athlete take one?!
@@icedwhaticed Tim Duncan did it in the trail end of his career, got another ring.. Jordan did it during his second 3 peat, and lebron even did it when he went to Miami, got 2 rings..
So seems like taking a small pay cut to get some better help is the way to go huh 🙂
Hachimura, Reaves, Gabe Vincent are all making good money. D’Lo too. They just didn’t do much.
Bradley Beal makes 50 million a year, he didn’t do anything for the suns. It’s not about pay cuts it’s about getting bigger wing players. Because it’s Jamal Murray and MPJ that’s killing them.
THIS SHOW IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST SHANNON GREAT JOB 👍👍👍
But why would somebody who making 50k a year take a pay cut for somebody in HR and finances??😂😂 …. That scenario did not hit Unc….
This is a great show thank you fellas!!
I've been saying for years if Lebron really loves the game and wants to maximize his chances to win another championship or two he should take a pay cut. Until he does I'll just continue to believe he's playing for stats.
Yeah, you really can’t make an argument that he cares about being the goat that much, if he’s not willing to do what’s necessary to sign better players. I don’t know why he thinks he needs more help all the time if he’s not willing to do that.
You letting Rob palinka off the hook completely.
He wants to own a team one day, that’s why he doesn’t take pay cuts, he’s trying to accumulate as much cash as he can before the expansion teams come
Collective bargaining he can only sign for so much less anyway. You can’t dip so far below your market value just to sign other players. So what kind of pay cut could he take within the parameters of the CBA that would bring the lakers back a player they need to compete?
@@MaximusR93 which big players taking payouts right now? Joker no Tatum & brown no Giannis no steph no
😂😂😂😂 Unk is a full take take take all your money and even the hoo-ha. But she better leave me 30% on Mondays and Thursdays I want the hoo-ha
The billionaire propaganda is crazy.
Like right? Would regular people take a paycut? Like bro Lebron could never earn another dollar and still like 1,000 times better than I could ever hope to.
@cptsketch13 you have a habit of saying like when you don't need too say it
@@perrycoffey5410 fair my bad
Lebron is a real Billygoat. LBJ is as much a billionaire as MJ. Propaganda is a word Lebron haters use. Big bank always beats little bank. He's the first active player to become a billionaire. Instead of being proud of a black man reaching incredible heights from a single mom household, you'd rather spew negativity and hatred.
@@WilbertCarter billionaires shouldn’t exist.
7:26 That's a false equivalent. White Collar workers aren't thinking about winning championships. Athletes are.
The fans tell players to take a pay cut because these superstars be on press conferences, depressed that they lose important games. Sometimes, they even throw their teammates under the bus about the lack of productivity.
But the thing is: your 30 year-old, 5 million dollar teammate isn't going to average 15ppg. If you would have took the pay cut and got a 12 million dollar player, you would win more games.
😂😂wtf are you talking about
@chadbutler8634 My comment is related to the LeBron pay cut statement that was in the video, along with the analogy Shannon gave.
Players want to win championships, but also want to take up an absurd amount of cap space that could have been used to better their chances at winning.
You can't have your cake and eat it too.
@@SirNafurious thank you! lol these people glaze these athletes without thinking. The athletes are being disingenuous😂
@@chadbutler8634ain't it funny how these people are so adamant about what others should be paid for their work? Companies literally bottomed out or sell their stock when it is about to split so they can maximize the most out of what the executives could cash in before the employees can, but he's trying to say that white collar, privileged folks don't think about "winning". If you can get ALL the money that you can, then do it right when it's available & pay people who have never played professional sports little attention. They've never dealt in money like that & never will. Additionally, it's usually the AGENTS who are nudging towards maximize these contracts because they will get paid a lot more for making that happen. Being an agent and bargaining less money for talent, so that some randoms in a random city can he happy, isn't going to put money on the table for that agent once it's all said and done...incentives or whatever else he damned. That's a bad business strategy for agents and lawyers who are worth their salt unless a talent specifically expresses that desire to do so, which is where people like the ones in this thread try to browbeat and start bloviating about how much money these athletes should be making. And I can't help but notice that they are the most vocal when it comes to brothers getting these high value contracts and deals. I wonder why?
Hachimura and Gabe Vincent make a lot more than 5 million dollars a year. They weren’t averaging 15 points per game either.
Bron need to go back to Miami
Hell naw for what?
Folks have to also understand that players are unionized. The wages, the scale, and all that are collectively bargained. When players start taking pay cuts it impacts the way other players negotiate under that CBA
Drop it off Mondays and Thursdays is wild 😭😂😂😂
You can’t compare 150,000 to 20 mill pay cut, if I’m already a billionaire and I work the same job that I love I’ll take a pay cut
“ON MONDAYS AND THURSDAYS SHE GOTTA DROP IT OFF”😂😂😂😂😂😂
To Helen in HR and Carl in finance:
Im sorry UNC did yall like that yall worked hard for them spots 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yea take 30m
Instead of 50+.
Mondays and Thursday lines up perfect for a single man.
Proud of you ocho. Everyday just stay learning like everyone does. I read the comments and people know their 💩 . Hell im learning more about football from the videos and comment section here 😂. Just keep watching basket ball college and pros games and hell google if you have to learn a concept . You got this!!!

Thank you Shannon & OCHO you guys really help me get through depression. I love yall 🙏🏾🙏🏾 #USNAVYVET
If ocho is pulling Dorris Burke references out there I know he’s doing his basketball homework 😂😂
Oucho needs his own platform! This is no shade toward Shannon, but Oucho is media gold!!
Love how Chad sounding off sneaks from back in the day 😅
His numbers looks decent but in reality they not helping them win
6:20 Ocho's reaction was mentally mine. 3-5 billi a month?!!! Lmao
He's a billionaire. Demanding a max deal hurts his chance of winning
It ain't about winning for him anymore
But taking a pay cut doesn't guarantee that they spend that money on other players. That's why players team up and go places together so they know what's going to happen.
Taking a pay cut doesnt mean they can land who he or they want target to pair with him😂stop it
Noh unk u got 24 hrs to respond to that diss
I ain’t doin it give me my money 😭
Man. That Jeff stat is crazy. Is that too much $$ for a single person?
He doesn’t make $30-$50 billion a year lmao he’s wrong
Billionaires existing in the first place is absolutely ridiculous.
@@dre3k78my thoughts exactly!
It says he makes 45.8 million per day off investments
@@dre3k78Why?
What's the take on Shaq's diss song?
Nah cuz I notice whenever they give into a players demands to that extent they're already past their prime .
Comparing an office job to an athlete making millions for a pay cut was a horrible example.
I never think a player should give a owner a discount to stay
These analogies regarding pay cuts are dumb, there is no such thing as a championship in a “normal” job. There is no public eye viewing you at all times. Sure if office work got you famous and gave you publicity why not take a pay cut. Brady and Mahomes took one and look where it got them. Then look at Chris Paul and Lebron as of late, if you keep saying chips are all that matters then take the pay cut.
I Like your SWEATSHIRT OCHO>>>>>AWESOME!!!!
Unk and Rel got they own segments? 👀
Lakers crazy!!!
It’s a different situation, real work life n sports work are different. A players skill n performance is what makes his money. How the company goes and ur performance is what makes raises n stuff come
❤ Ocho!
OCHO....DEFINITELY SPEAKING THEM BRANDS
Asking athletes to take 45 million instead of 55 million is nothing like where Helen in HR works , in real life most people live paycheck to paycheck and they cant afford rent if they take a pay cut for Helen in HR.
Shaq needs to go play with Anthony Edwards in Minnesota to win a championship
For a guy that says he doesn't know basketball yet; Ocho asked some good questions and had good ideas on this one!
They need one more scorer/defense
Not the same reg ppl not making millions his life will not change wether he take that money or not
Shannon cover The Game Rick Ross Diss🔥🔥🔥
No sign of decline? Lebron hasnt played defense since his miami hear says, Lebron is an offensive player only.
I’ll buy the house 500k but I will never buy a watch for 75k. I will never
For all you guys that are too young to either know or have heard,Yrs ago Magic took a pay cut to get a much needed Bob McAdoo on their team for the playoffs,Research it
Not taking a pay cut. But I never tell athletes to either.
Never take a pay cut.. for a Billionaire
7:20 disagree with this analogy because 9-5 folks aren’t playing for a lifelong legacy in the hall of fame, which is about individuals. If Bron wants max deals and is okay losing then it’s fine with me. No ones going to look at him in the HOF and say, man if it wasn’t for the Cavs and Lakers front office he’d have 3-4 more rings.
Ocho running game and they don’t even know it !!! My Dawg 😂💪🏾
Mondays & Thursdays 😂😂
Ocho folded quick on his point😂😂😂… he does it every time ….
" he was on a Mac contract" - Ochocinco
AMZN has no dividend. An offer of equity, agreement in principle to purchase a team from an aging owner, or fast track to an expansion team would be enticing for LeBron.
shannon comparing taking a paycut to normal people is so horrible
I'm a Lakers fan. LeBron get your money. Rob palinka f'd up by blowing up that championship team, while they were drinking champagne 🍾 in 2020. Rob palinka need to get it done or get lost
I had some blue suede Travel Fox and thought I was the shit!
I'm not with Unc on this one, I think C-suite level employees making 400x their avg employee SHOULD take pay cuts for Gerry the Janitor and Susan in HR. Ain't no billions on profit without the little people. You think Steve Jobs knew how to wire an iphone?
Lebron goes to play for The Clippers (you read it here first).
Here are the 3 reasons:
1) same city (Los Angeles)
2) the coach (Ty Lue)
3) the salary (billionaire owner willing to spend)
Go back to Cleveland or Miami
Mondays and Thursdays drop it off 😂
Bro that's true Ocho keeping it real
I love agreeing with Ocho I been saying this he can’t win with just 1 additional max player
Has sharpe discussed his goat saying it’s just basketball ??
We really don't leave please
Nah Unc on to something. If they leaving with half my stuff i want half her "stuff". Sundays and Mondays are my OFF days😅
UNC!! Those comparisons between an athlete like Lebron and a corporate employee taking a pay cut is so ignorant and non comparable. If an athlete takes a cut and gets another piece in there, it contributes to their off the court success as well and individual accolades and they get historical recognition… ON TOP OF THE FAT ASS SALARY. The average employee gets literally none of that, even at $150k+
Unc the scenario makes no sense. Hiring Pam and Carl don’t do nothing for me 😂 bron taking a pay cut for another benefits him by giving him more rest at 40 and a higher chance at another ring
Ocho: Lebron’s not greedy
Shannon: Lebron said after Miami paycut that he’d never take less than the max again, it’s not his job to keep teams under the cap
That analogy doesn’t really compare to LeBron taking a pay cut because he wants to win another championship. Maybe if you said take a pay cut and you can start receiving quarterly bonuses or something like that
So basically he tried to finesse in MIA and Pat wasn’t having that so now you don’t wanna play on the max but you also want input on players no
25pts 7reb and 8ast ....what person saying they dont want that production on their team? From one person
You saying bs empty calories what about defense missed games playing when he wants destroying the rosters stop it la is his last stop 🛑
He randomly sits out games all the time, he plays no defense, he does not care about winning cause he knows he’ll never get blamed when we lose, he’s going to cost 50 to 60 million for a player who can no longer be the best player on a championship team. It’s a terrible investment I hope he leaves
It's okay for Jordan and kobe to have a win now mindset, u either goin to help win a championship or we don't need u.
And with the wear and tear on running on that concrete, no player need to play 82 games at the pace they are going up and down the floor now days
100 milloon dollar home, is it made of gold, bro thats crazy
