The only way to "save" Red Lobster would be to A) Lower Prices significantly, so they're worth it compared to the seafood boils which now exist in basically every city B) Raise quality significantly, so they're worth it compared to seafood boils C) Increase portion sizes It basically boils down to the fact that, despite shrinkflation and dwindling quality over the past decade or so, there wasn't another option for seafood besides making it yourself a lot of the time, or going to some super expensive place and getting like, a lobster tail. Now for a slightly higher amount than a meal at Red Lobster, you can head into one of your local seafood boils, and get like 1/2 lb crab, 1/2 lb clams, 1/2 lb of Shrimp, corn, potato and even some noodles all in one meal
That’s the real job of CEOs. They are scammers who oversell promises cause the point is not to improve but make the most money while cutting cost and showing shareholders higher profit margins. It’s all a grift.
Not in a million years would I pay over $14 for that pasta dish. Red Lobster has lost their mind, its really a bummer for me because I grew up with a family that went to this restaurant at least one or two times a month and it was always delicious. I must of ate 500lbs of crab alfredo in my life before they went downhill. This just makes me sad.
I had a feeling it didn't change... My red lobster was one day away from closing down before the "rescue" took place. Nobody hardly still goes there. We now have so many more new seafood boil places popping up that are way better and cheaper
So sad to see what Red Lobster has become. I grew up on it. Every year for my birthday my parents would take me there. Obviously the biscuits were and always will be goated.
I’m glad that Red Lobster is still open. The scallops wrapped in bacon look really good - the biscuits, too. I hope that they eventually up their game.
If there’s one thing they had better than everyone was their cheddar biscuits. When I went there in October, the batch was completely off. There was 0 cheddar taste and somehow there was no garlic in the butter. My meal was over before it even started 😂
But he's just giving his personal opinion. Have you even tried it yet??? I do agree with him about the prices though. $34 for that small portion of pasta is RIDICULOUS! 😂
@MichaelMcMillan-k1s lol people are thanking him for his opinion on TAKINGTHE FOOD OUT...yeah its gonna look unappealing. They have to try the food for themselves and eat inside the restaurant food is gonna look weak when you take it outside the restaurant is
That pasta is about the size and price of the Lobster mac and cheese at my local steak house, which is a well known destination since the 60's. No world in which that is a 30 dollar plate
For the amount of money that they charge for all of that food I could’ve went to ShopRite and bought everything and made it myself and had more than enough food and it would’ve taste good, nothing but a waste of money red lobster is a shit hole.
Also that first dish is not at all worth $33. Not only does it look mid. It is not even a full meal. It's a single entree. $33? That's two good full meals and paying for a little extra goodies at a chilies
This makes me so sad to hear. I loved this restaurant so much as a kid. We used to go there after church , if it wasn't hometown buffet. Sadly that's a whole other story of its own. Rip hometown. I mean Red Lobster is still my fav place to go for very simple seafood. Honestly, I only get the Ultimate Feast replacing the lobster tail with more shrimp scampi. I don't like all that extra seasoning stuff the boils be doing, so I need them to stop being cheap & make everything else taste better so I'm still able to go there. Please & Thank you.
All the Fridays except for one that is an hour away in the airport closed with in one month and they have a bunch of new menu items and I am like what.
The menu prices weren’t the issue. It was what they did on the real estate side of the business. A capital firm bought it for 2.1 billion. In order to fund that they sold location property and agreed to lease it back at unfavorable lease terms. Add declining quality, inflation and Covid it was a recipe for a disaster and failure.
Very disappointing seeing them charge people $34.00 dollars for pasta, vegetable's -probably frozen crayfish ( instead of prawns ) in a take out container. I'm sorry to see you only like the biscuits. The cost of their food willsoon put them out of business.🍺
You can go to a Chinese restaurant and get a whole lobster with noodles for that price, more or less. I only went to Red Lobster once but that was more than 20 years ago.
For those who might play the "but you're eating it at home after it has sat for a while" card, they should really consider the fact that you eat a LOT of stuff that's takeout, and the fact that you have rated many other things very high because they.... I don't know.... actually taste good? Lol. 🤷♂
I think that most people, assuming they're capable of critical thinking, have a dab of both in thinking. They may knee jerk at unexpected things or whatever. But ultimately, critical thinking is a different one. Much longer conversation needed. Enjoy the content. 🤙🏻 Enjoy the hand signs
raising prices to try to get out of bankrupcy.....jeez i used to work at RL in the early 80's the food was sooo good....they went down hill when they stopped the hushpuppies...
You are definitely a foodie! Tonight your so energy is so off! I get it.. I appreciate your transparency. I just need a pick me ip for now.. I’m a foodie too, I’m so sad for you tonight 🥺
This is classic take out vs Dinning in him saying take out is bad is not a surprise. How much are lobster tails at the supermarket. Sea food is expensive and if they want to make money they have to increase prices. Old school 20 dollar menu item is the new 30 dollar meal. Old school 5 dollar fast food meal is now 10 dollars.
dunno who bothered to save Red Lobster, i'd rather Long John Silvers be saved than them. HellthyJunkFood is a channel that showed everybody how to make those Biscuits at home, with that there's nothing worth saving about them.
haven’t been to red lobster in a few hears since my family, friends, and I all went after our high school graduation let’s just say if they messed up the biscuits I would never go again in my life no matter what
Let me just say, I love what you brought up about critical thinking and how that’s how people who do think critically use this to solve problems. I hate to make this about dating but one of the things I look for most is how a person responds to an issue/problem. What’s their approach how they communicate it, and boyyy when I say that is the reason I will end things quick and in a hurry hahaha. Because they don’t understand how I may have arrived to a solution how I’m speaking objectively and the reason they can’t understand is because they themselves dont know how are have not been challenged to do so. Anyway I can go on and on. Thanks for the video, it’s a bummer the Red Lobster was a bust. I was excited about the new CEO and what he was going to bring to the table.
As someone who worked at red lobster for a hot minute, that place needs a lot to be saved. Absolute train wreck of a company.
That's the charm though. You feel like you're working for the underdog. Makes you want to root for them
There isn't enough food in that container for $34 and then it didn't even taste good. That's awful.
The only way to "save" Red Lobster would be to
A) Lower Prices significantly, so they're worth it compared to the seafood boils which now exist in basically every city

That looks like a Hungry Man dinner. That CEO talked a big game about changing the food quality and he is failing miserably.
Facts😂😂😂
That’s the real job of CEOs. They are scammers who oversell promises cause the point is not to improve but make the most money while cutting cost and showing shareholders higher profit margins. It’s all a grift.
Aleast hungry man taste better

1:51 Took me clean out by the look on your face I knew they was lying too 😂
0:51 I thought that pasta was dropping 100% 😭😭
You are a very insightful person, not just about the food but in general.
$34 for a container that looks like a half portion to me. That just seems criminal!
That Pasta is a joke for That Price.😢
Imagine when people start putting critical thinking combined with common sense. It would he a different world.
Better lobster at Friendly's is brutal.
Who else is ready for red lobster to just go ahead and go away for good? Honestly, I wouldn’t pay $9.99 for that first dish. They going out sad
Prices are ridiculous. Count me out
I hope red lobster sees this
So sad to see what Red Lobster has become. I grew up on it. Every year for my birthday my parents would take me there. Obviously the biscuits were and always will be goated.

All Red Lobsters in this state are closed
What state?
Yes which state?
The only thing red lobster had were the cheddar biscuits but you can get those in the frozen section nowadays lol
Thanks for your honesty
Don't waste your time or money going back. It was a good video and very informative but they got you.
The lobster pasta looks unappealing. Sadly Red Lobster has been falling off for years! Your reviews are great thank you for your honesty!
But he's just giving his personal opinion. Have you even tried it yet??? I do agree with him about the prices though. $34 for that small portion of pasta is RIDICULOUS! 😂
@@MichaelMcMillan-k1sI haven’t tried this dish in general there pasta dishes was always just blah to me. Mabey it’s the red lobsters I’ve visited.
@MichaelMcMillan-k1s lol people are thanking him for his opinion on TAKINGTHE FOOD OUT...yeah its gonna look unappealing. They have to try the food for themselves and eat inside the restaurant food is gonna look weak when you take it outside the restaurant is

Damn. My red lobster closed down. Those biscuits are 10/10
You can make them at home easy, as with most of their dishes actually
Shit even the store one are fire I have some in my freezer now
Sounds like all they did was raise their prices to try and generate as much revenue as they can before they officially close.
Man I remember back then when going to Red Lobster meant you was actually going out to “EAT EAT”
Shrat with no hat.. we wanna see it!!!!
SHRAT NO HATT . What this guy said 😮
Appreciate the honesty. Yeah, they aint been good since the 90's.
This makes me so sad to hear. I loved this restaurant so much as a kid. We used to go there after church , if it wasn't hometown buffet. Sadly that's a whole other story of its own. Rip hometown. Thank you for saving me from doing a tragic Red Lobster future review.
34 dollars? That kfc meal deal aleast they give you more
Ours went out of business.
The menu prices weren’t the issue. It was what they did on the real estate side of the business. A capital firm bought it for 2.1 billion. You guys got Portillos? If you do get the cheeseburger add hot peppers add bacon and get large onions rings with side of cheese sauce. Thank you.
Portillo's has some pretty good options!
😂😂😂 when you flung that piece of asparagus I knew ish wasn't any good.
RED LOBSTER NEEDS HELP❤❤ SORRY YOUR MEAL WASN'T THAT GOOD ❤❤ HUG'S AND LOVE TO YOU ❤❤
The Cajun chicken Alfredo pasta has been the only thing worth getting there for a long time.
A welcome change of pace! And a great video as usual. You could review paint and I would watch it
14:26 through 16:00🤘🏾🌡🌙🌋🦴📚
When consuming information online or in the nedia, critical thinking is a must.
That first entree is worth 10-12 bucks max!! That shit is wild. Not even a side salad and some bread, lol
"Big Booty Biscuit" 😂 kinda saved the meal oof dang miss
Very disappointing seeing them charge people $34.00 dollars for pasta, vegetable's -probably frozen crayfish ( instead of prawns ) in a take out container. I'm sorry to see you only like the biscuits. The cost of their food willsoon put them out of business.🍺
The scallops weren’t even seared on the bottom 😂
It's Papi's papardelle from Seinfeld!!! LOL. Jerry, I'm going to make the best the papardelle personally for you. LOL. 😊
The reaction to the taste of that biscuit i could tell was a breath of fresh air compared to everything else
Every Red Lobster within 10 hours of me closed down lmfao, dead franchise.
How can they save the restaurant when so many shut down. I don’t even know where one is in my area anymore.
Red Lobster out here serving AI Youngboy Lobster and charging 33$ for it??🤦🏿♂️…
Why „Seascallop“? Is there any other Scallop?
Bay scallops. Much smaller and sweeter.
@ True, didnt think of them.
To be honest, you don't even have to go to the grocery store and buy the biscuit mix. The recipe is easy to find - and It's mostly Biscuick.
Only thing I need from Red Lobster - stuffed mushrooms, biscuits, chocolate dessert thingy.
You can go to a Chinese restaurant and get a whole lobster with noodles for that price, more or less. I only went to Red Lobster once but that was more than 20 years ago.
For the price I prefer seafood boil feast from places like storming crab, can get like a huge bag of seafood for $40
Private equity is a scourge!!
Being from Maine and knowing I can get about $9 a lb of lobster feels good.
straight Doo Doo the foo foo😂 hell naw!
For those who might play the "but you're eating it at home after it has sat for a while" card, they should really consider the fact that you eat a LOT of stuff that's takeout, and the fact that you have rated many other things very high because they.... I don't know.... actually taste good? Lol. 🤷♂
even if they did “save” it… wasn’t what it used to be a decade ago, pretty good food with good portions+price
The only thing I ever loved from red lobster was the shrimp scampi, everything else was mid if you ask me.
clicked on the video and damn this food doesn't look too good haha. guess i wont be going by there any time soon
that pasta probably cost them 20 cents. plus 4 dollars of "lobster"! and then add $30 of profit. thats how the new ceo is trying to save the company.
THE GOAT 🐐 the king never disappoints 👍👍👍👍👍.
Gordon Ramsay would say those scallops a raw not even browned
Not rollin to Red lobster after this, thanks for the review
I think that most people, assuming they're capable of critical thinking, have a dab of both in thinking. They may knee jerk at unexpected things or whatever. But ultimately, critical thinking is a different one. Much longer conversation needed. Enjoy the content. 🤙🏻 Enjoy the hand signs
Your pretty spot on with your reviews but I think it’s unfair to have the CEO in the thumbnail. You’ve never done that before 😔.
The only thing I really like is the biscuits and you can get those in the stores now
That food looks struggle I can just imagine the taste. Red Lobster's fall off is crazy
I miss red lobster from back in the day when you can get good food for cheap now all you get is crappy food for high price
You should do this again with the old classic items. Like shrimp pasta/ shrimp trios etc
34??? for that??? Nope?
Their biscuit makes you could buy don’t taste the same as the restaurant
Tour of Italy cost 21$
raising prices to try to get out of bankrupcy.....jeez i used to work at RL in the early 80's the food was sooo good....they went down hill when they stopped the hushpuppies...
I remember getting apple sauce at red lobster the good days
You gotta stick to the crab legs, shrimp scampi and maybe the fried fish. Other than that you’re in risky territory at Red Lobster
You are definitely a foodie! Tonight your so energy is so off! I get it.. I appreciate your transparency. I just need a pick me ip for now.. I’m a foodie too, I’m so sad for you tonight

I’m guessing the drawing on his sweat shirt is him but why does it look like the Demoman from Team Fortress 2
dunno who bothered to save Red Lobster, i'd rather Long John Silvers be saved than them. HellthyJunkFood is a channel that showed everybody how to make those Biscuits at home, with that there's nothing worth saving about them.
Damn, is asparagus going for $5 per stick these days or something?
haven’t been to red lobster in a few hears since my family, friends, and I all went after our high school graduation let’s just say if they messed up the biscuits I would never go again in my life no matter what
Hey, on a side note. Taco Bell made a Lux box for those new dipping tacos. Fire!!!!!
Scallops are expensive, at least here in vegas, I don't think I have ever seen scallops under $30 but everything else looks like trash
Where is the MERCH?
Only good red lobster in NJ IMO is the one near willowbrook mall. Fantastic food and service
Red Lobster is BAD 😊
Thank you for prices 🙏 on door dash
Ordered red lobster for the last time the other night! Was so disappointed they such a joke ✌🏾🤣
I had some a little while ago, and it was better than the last meal I had from there many months ago, but sad to see.
I think i ate there ONCE 30 yrs ago. Even at "then" prices i felt cheated. What you just got was a travesty.
Hell no! $33 dollars! Brotha I’m going to Taco Bell and spending $7 bucks or to Chili’s and spending like $15 for the Cajun pasta if I wana get fancy
😃Red lobster closed (many) in va, I cant eat seafood..
I feel yr frustration lol..Longhorn is clutch their whole menu is good
