When I listen to Indian History in CTCs like this,I feel betrayed that my History books taught me nothing
I guess it's a good thing that the real spies and heroes preserving Indian securtiy remain unsung... Because then it becomes a testament to their undercover prowess, their determination to keep their objectives and methods little-known for as long as possible. If their identities and work were known by all in detail, even years after their retirement/death, it would certainly be a lesson to learn, to anticipate any future designs and nip them in the bud.
But these bravehearts also deserve our gratitude and respect, so I think having a national memorial for all the anonymous intelligence officers would be a better option for acknowledging their service to the nation, without jeopardizing their post-retirement lives and our future operations.
@@venkatvenkat7323 ISI is no. 1 (self proclaimed) intelligence agency in this world ,they don't care about secrecy because no one can match them

Some wag once opined that the only difference between the operation of a major
intelligence service HQ and the dominant newspaper of a great city is that only
one of them can manage to get out more than one copy by the hard deadline.
This episode deserves applause. These unsung heroes should be known to the people of India. It takes years of work and that too with life at risk. The strategy of having an NSA post as a different one altogether and making an operationally effective IPS/Military personnel rather than some bureaucrat to head it, is wonderful and utmost needed. This clear difference between now NDA and earlier UPA should be highlighted too.
What an absolutely intriguing episode! Almost like reading a short spy novel. Fantastic research as always and a pleasure to watch.
Like Wet dreams not novels lols

It is the finest ever tribute paid to the true patriots of India, who risked their life with supreme sense of duty and sacrifice to protect the sovereignty of our motherland. In spite of all their dedication, they don't get the kind of attention, recognition and honor they richly deserve may perhaps be because (1) the very nature of their job is discreet and remains hidden, and demands secrecy. 2. Right from the time of Chanakya ( because spies were mentioned in 'Arthashastra' though the spying network might have existed much before him as an important apparatus to serve the King and the state), their job put them behind the veil of dark curtain,so people never knew about their presence or role unlike the military soldiers, who were more openly visible and the spies had no balladeers to sin g the tales of their sacrifice and heroic acts as in the case of military. The popular imagination is fed with stories of great warriors, but when it comes to spies, the historical time canvas is almost blank. 3. Perhaps because they are perceived more as bureaucrats and part of Govt aparatus, so honors and decorations are hard to come by.
Here after karan kundrra recommendations 😦now I am addicted....
Brilliant episode, as always.
Special thanks for taking the names of the unsung heroes.

@@AkshatSharma1505 Did you watch the episode? Most intelligence officers that Shekhar Gupta is talking about including Ajit Doval are Malayalis. Keralites have a very large representation in navy, air force and intelligence, morr than any other state in India. In the early days IAF was called "India Nair Force" because every other pilot was a Nair/Malayali.
Dear SG, today you have exposed us to a new dimension of services that we had never truly appreciated for what they are. Thank you for the amongst the most brilliant and unique CTC.

SG, Ajit Doval was actually under cover in Pakistan disguised as a Muslim for several years. He has himself narrated his story of being under cover and meeting a Hindu person there. Just search for it on UA-cam and will find his video explaining his experience there.

Chinese didn't betrayed us we were the fool, Nehru was not Realistic his Panchsheel policy was dangerous act..
Why you commented bro . I also got payment to comment it from BJP IT Cellw
@@AbdulSamad-jw6xq The fact that you are commenting at the comfort of your home is sufficient fact that Nehru didnt die in humiliation and was successful in bringing his visions of independent India into reality.
@@BruceWayne-qe7bs Nehru according space to Tibetan government in exile was a diplomatic necessity. It brought the plight of the Tibetan to the global light. If anything it helped India to understand what was going around in Tibetan border. China didn't attack India because of Dalai Lama, China was already building the infrastructure in Southern Tibet and Aksai Chin from 1951-52. What made China Indian conflict inevitable was Zhou Enlai's visit and the way we reacted in 1960.
Instead of putting everything squarely as a failure (sweeping generalizations), we should look closely at the events individually and identify the immediate cause. In the case of 1962 humiliation, look around this visit, and the forward policy we adopted without adequate military buildup and deeper intelligence.
Nehru might have been a fool. But he's not here to blame, nor is he here to justify his circumstances. But there is an even greater fool and a coward in power today, right in front of our eyes. While china intrudes in Ladakh and builds camps in the NE, this cockroach and his govt is busy breeding internal hatred. He is not man enough to even have a press conf and interact with public, let alone answer for the diplomatic disaster he is overseeing.
Nehru was a fool. But his actions don't justify the Chinese aggression. Which BTW is still going on and India is not the only victim.
KARAN Kundrra ❤️
One of the best CTC in recent times; honouring the unsung heroes. 👍
THANK YOU SHEKHARJI...!!!
Lots of unsung HEROES in our world... THEY ARE FAR BETTER HUMANS AND THEY SACRIFICED MORE FOR THE FAMILY , SOCIETY , NATION AND THE WHOLE WORLD , THAN THOSE PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN ELEVATED TO THE SAINTHOOD AND HAVE BEEN REVERED...!!!
Very refreshing to watch Sherkar Ji explain such intricate details of India's Intelligence Community.
Best spy is the one who goes unsung …. Just like wicket keeper in cricket… if nobody bothered about wicket keeper in cricket match means, he (or she) has done wonderful job
Its not always that history is ment to be changed
And to show that I will only say “ Ms Dhoni”
It’s about a situation and time and it changes
You will also be remembered for these kind of stories who nobody talks.. I like you these kind of content Mr Gupta... Well-done

Mr Arvind Dave mentioned at 24 minutes is living a retired life and is at udaipur. My salute to him for his work and contribution on the intelligence front
It is very astonishing to see that Mr. Gupta forgot to mention about "Tiger" Ravindra Kaushik who was R&AW operative who by deception even rose to rank of commissioned officer ranks of the Pakistan armed forces but unfortunately his cover had been blown up & died in Pakistani prison. Then there is this person known as Sehmat Khan without whose input we wouldn't have had information about PNS Gazi was going to attack INS Vikrant just before 72 war!!!
Sehmat was shown in the film Raazi. Also watch the film Ghazi Attack which is one of the best submarine movies of all time. I thank RAW operatives who remain unseen and unheard.
