Uzi is still traumatised by the thing last episode, questioning reality and trying to figure out what's going on and what's real considering how it deceived her.
The next episode comes out in eight days, but better late than never. This one is a banger!

on the question of why so lacksidasical, i don't believe anyone besides Doll actually saw the thing in Cryosleep besides N, Uzi, and Thad, since it killed the ones that saw it.
also, as is shown multiple times, the workers are quite dumb
Seems like the only smart(er) one’s are the people who’ve survived multiple episodes, people with an Absolute Solver, and the Murder Drones (in that order)
the original robots are very dumb and stuck in their ways yes (like parents) very funny.
the second generations (all the kid robots) have been changed by them giving them "free" will. which is why in the first episode when Chad was asking the defender robots to actually DEFEND they were all like "nope, we cant do that its not in our programming" and also why the Dad robot could not do anything to help Uzi, he only has one function to build doors with not so much free will.
Which is also why Doll and Uzi are able to utilize the Solver as well as they can, CYN trying to take control but having a hard time at it.
they are robots - they do not "quite" care about dying robots.
they have a task to perform. in the case of the 2nd generation of robots is to try being humanlike with school and emotions. the old school robots just to keep up status quo

To be fair, when I first watched this episode, I assumed “doll” was just an affectionate nickname Lizzy had for her…namedrops in this show are so casual it can make them easy to miss

My assumption about the stakes in all of this would be the...danger of knowing the truth maybe...?
It feels pretty clear by episode 2 that for Uzi, who simply wanted to "kill all humans" in EP 1 - things are far worse, far complicated, and far more morbid than she realises. Yes, the murder drones are bad - but the drones themselves don't even know where they come from, what they're made from, and why. Why go to this extent? Just to get rid of drones on a dead planet?
I mean...J literally turned into a massive eldritch being last episode. I'd think the murder drones become less scary when you're thinking about how scary the monsters who made them must be.
As for the worker drones?
...well, considering they locked themselves up for years, it's likely they're pretty cowardly as it is. Accepting the murder drones is probably less out of want and instead out of dear hope these specific drones don't actually want them dead and maybe, may even save them.
Which brings up a problem I'm sure will get brought up sooner or later...which is the fact that neither V nor N have seemed to eat any oil as of late. It's part of their physical need to survive, so it's definitely something they can't stop even if they wanted to.
Which means that if Uzi ALSO starts to have these urges...oh boy.

they are nonchalant about the murder drones because as far as they know, J is dead, V is captured, and N is on their side.
The point of this series is it comedic horror. There's an underlying plot that drives things but it's hidden under comedy and tropes that are dialed up to 11.
