Yungblud launches an affordable music festival

Now, Channel 4 News has spoken to acclaimed singer Yungblud about his new music festival 'Bludfest', which offers cheap, and even free, tickets to people from all backgrounds.
The Doncaster-born rock star says he wants to take music to people across the UK, not just in London.
And a warning, this report from our Culture Correspondent Minnie Stephenson contains flashing images.

Agree with the sentiment and good luck to him. Live music generally,.when you get a chance to see it (thanks brexit), is far too expensive. Festivals are basically prohibitive.
@@mcnair435 not blaming Brexit for price rises, but for bands skipping the UK on tours. Can only see many bands at festivals now - who, over the age of 25, has got that kind of money.

I'd like to see more places for older people to do music. The Roundhouse only does courses for youngsters.
Many of us are not from well off backgrounds, and many of us didn't have the confidence either.
More artist need to do what this guy is trying to do for his fans. Concerts and festivals gotten out of control mostly due to bots, dynamic pricing, and service fees.

Can definitely be achieved easily - just make it ticketed, with a set number of tickets, but with however many tickets being free. Different to just having blanket free entry.
Income based ticketing is honestly the way to go. @@JohnHuxleySavage

Plenty of music out there if u look and know where to look, depends what u into, personally i don't listen to pop music i find plenty to listen to in the diy world of hardcore(punk/metal)
