I’m glad this is out there. I was in the middle of the blouse construction and the written instructions stumped me. I ripped it back out to redo it, and now this makes a lot more sense!
Very awesome video. Did not know there was a cuff ironing ham and have thought often how nice it would be to have a gauge with a pokey end for turning things. Dang you are awesome Casey. My fav sewing champ on UA-cam
Thank you so much for this!! I know I've been bugging you about it, haha. I think I figured out where I was messing up, can't wait to try again and make another Byrdie!
The bit of origami to finish the top of the placket, starting at 3:25 and going to about 4:31, has me so confused. I'm literally in tears. I can't see what's happening. I can't see which is the front and which is the back of the fabric, or where the stitch lines are, or what's been folded, or how much it's been folded. I've tried several other tutorials (written or video) and yours seemed the most understandable, but I've blown it completely & ruined the sleeve. Any insights would be appreciated.

Thanks for watching! :)
What fabric are you using, I love the hand of the fabric.
I forgot to mention that! It's a lyocell from Joann and it's very lightweight...kind of like a cotton lawn but softer. It's so nice to wear!
Hi! Would you mind posting the measurements for the placket you used?
The placket is 5.25 inches tall by 2.75 inches wide. :)
@@PatternScout Thank you so much!
A good tutorial but foo fast at the beginning due to editing.
