    OMG!! I have to show this video to my doctor. My entire body was broken and crushed on Christmas Eve 2000 @ 5pm from a drunk driver hitting me head on. I have hardware through my entire body, in all four extremities. Brutal arthritis, scar tissue and muscle damage. I suffer from 12-20 migraines a month ranging from a few hours to 36 hours. I’ve been on 12 hour relief meds and the dose keeps going up every few years and one day I’m afraid they just won’t help anymore.
    There were a few times I had migraines while having a medical surgery done and they’ve given me Toradol. Through my IV to try to help but I still would wake from the surgery with a migraine. But what you had done wars totally different. So I must share this with my doctor to see if this might be another option for me to try.
    Thanks again for sharing all this helpful information. Your videos do so much for others you just have no idea how valued you are. Thanks again.

      Chronically Jaquie I had major surgery on my ear and they gave me so really strong meds via iv immediately post op. I sat up as soon as woke up and exclaimed "oh!"
      The nurse and doctor rushed over and asked what was wrong. I said "My legs don't hurt!" My doctor smiled and said I love when chronic pain patients suddenly have no pain.
      Of course it did not last. But it was great while it lasted. :)

    My favourite part of your loopy moments was
    Judd: inside voice
    Jaquie: INSIDE!!
    I am so so pleased and fascinated as to how well it worked. When I'm more well I'd love to deal with my neck. I don't have EDS but my neck is floppy (mostly backwards) so doing anything without head/neck support has been very difficult for years.

    Wow I'm crying seriously. As someone w chronic pain for years, 24)7/365 pain, I cannot fathom the idea of not having pain. Or even less pain. So seeing you have less n no pain is just amazing n I'm so so happy for you!!! Praise God!! 🙌🙌

      I practically wrote the exact same sentiment in a comment I left - that I have severe 24/7/365 chronic pain and cannot imagine a decrease in it, let alone being pain free. I'd give just about anything to have an hour or two of it!. I could not be happier for Jaquie either. We have to celebrate each other and any relief we can get, after all! I'm sorry to learn that you too suffer horribly from chronic pain. xo

I'm 32 now but have been in constant pain since before my hysterectomy at 25! And before that it was a decade of chronic pain :( I really hope they come out w better ways to help us n hope maybe this might be something that could give us relief bc like u I'd give anything for even an hr of relief. I hope you find something to help get you some good relief n I'm so sorry that you're living in such horrible pain too. :(

  • @irishis79

    Jaquie, I am so happy for you! Having no pain, is so awesome for you! I have Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, and they said they wanted to put me in a Ketamine Coma, for 3 days, to try to reset my CNS, but with all of my allergic reactions to medications, I was afraid to do it. They say that 1 in 3 people who go into the Ketamine Coma, don't wake up from it! That is terrifying to me. I don't have a support system, as my husband actually left me, because of my chronic illnesses, that began less than a year after we were married... so much for "in sickness and in health"... but, some people, like Judd, are natural "caretakers", and some are just NOT... ya know? But my Mom recently passed away (November 8th... 1 day after her 75th Birthday), and she was my only support. So, now I am battling my chronic illness/pain, alone. My Faith in God is the only thing keeping me going. I am currently being evaluated, for autism, because it is suspected, that I am also autistic, and being 38, it's a struggle for me. I have a brother, but he and his family consider me "too much"... I am so happy for you, that you have such a wonderful support system! I hope, that someday, I will have a support system, as wonderful, and loving, as yours is. I do have a cat, who is wonderful, but he doesn't do a whole lot for me, other than offer me emotional support. He cuddles up real close to me, as often as he can. I'm allergic to dogs (their saliva is what I am allergic to, mostly, but my brother had a Golden, and I developed an allergy to dogs, and I couldn't breathe, around her :( So, I'm allergic to ALL dogs, sadly.) I have to tell you what an amazing inspiration you have been to me. You, and Judd, and Harlow, are the best! Thank you for sharing your story with all of us, out here!

    Your "No Pain" is, without a doubt, the best thing I've ever heard on UA-cam. Thank you for letting me see this video. I only know you through UA-cam yet you are so important to me. I showed the intro to my husband before we turned things off to go to sleep. He had a tough day (no comparison to your bad days) and I asked would he like to end the day with something beautiful. He agreed, "Beautiful!"

    Also, on the reasons you vlog, I wanted to say thank you because I think your vlogs were a big part of me being able to get over my needle phobia. Like last week was the first time in my entire life I had blood drawn without having a panic attack, and then yesterday I did my training to give myself injections, and it went perfectly fine. That would have been unimaginable to me 6 months ago. But I think just seeing you and a few other disability/chronic illness vloggers deal with needles and medical stuff so calmly on a regular basis really helped desensitize me and normalize it. So thanks again for doing what you do :)

    • @ChronicallyJaquie
      @ChronicallyJaquie  7 років тому +2

      That is a HUGE deal, because I also had a horrible needle phobia. I have only ever had one anxiety attack in my life and that was the first time I needed an IV. I used to cry and postpone needles as much as possible, but now I am okay. So happy to know I was able to help you with this!

    *Dear Jaquie, you don't know me but I want to say THANK YOU for changing the course of my life!!! I am currently a senior in high school (age 17) and I was going to be taking primarily business courses. Watching your channel made me realize that I didn't want to be in the business field and showed me how much I really missed science! I realized I wanted to be in the medical field so that I can help others who are suffering! So in July, I completely changed my courses to primarily science and health sciences and it was the best decision I've ever made. I am currently taking Anatomy and physiology, AP Psychology, Zoology, and more!!! I love my senior year SOOO MUCH because I made that decision! God showed me your channel to tell me that I was meant to be on a different path!!! Next year I plan to attend Stony Brook University or Suffolk Community College in New York and study to become a nurse practitioner!!! Someday I hope I get the chance to meet you so that I can thank you in person! Thank you for being such a blessing in my life and posting videos so that God can show me the path I was meant to be on!!! Sincerely, Sarah Farrell (From Long Island in NY)!!!*

    Glad things went well with the injections. I do have a silly suggestion though. I have seen other vloggers do this and found it some what interesting. They video their reactions to older videos they recorded in the past or you could at least your reactions while watching yourself after a procedure. Just an idea, if not I totally would understand.

People don't realize that Ive lived with this for 8 years so I still smile and laugh, but that doesn't mean I'm not in pain. That baffles people. I'm so glad your pain is so much better!! So happy for you! I've had over a dozen spinal injections with ketamine for chronic pelvic pain. The first one lasted for three months, and it was blissful! I always got an Ativan pill before i went into the room to help me wake up afterwards. One time they forgot to give it to me, and my brain woke up but my body was paralyzed. Scary feeling. After that I had maybe a 50% chance of the procedure working for my pain. If it didnt, I'd try again a couple weeks later. It's hard for docs to get the needle in the right spot. And it was always a guessing game how long it'd last. A lot of the time, it would take three days for the pain to start to decrease.
    I hope the next set of injections goes as great as this one!! I can see how happy you are!

    Yeah! So happy that you have found some pain relief, praying it will be a long term solution for you. It truly is such a relief to have relief from pain when you've been going through it for a long time. Thanks for being willing to share your experiences with us! I have to confess though, I laughed a couple times but more so because I've had reactions like that to Reglan. You did a good job putting it into words, I had trouble figuring out how to describe it, it's such a weird feeling!

    • @ChronicallyJaquie
      @ChronicallyJaquie  7 років тому

      I laughed too, it was funny! It is hard to describe but I did my best, but it's still something you have to experience to really understand it lol. Like you know your arm is in fact your arm, but it does not really feel like it. So weird!

    God Bless You! I pray that the pain stays away as long a possible. You are a sweet young lady, in spite of all that is wrong with you. You inspire me, make me laugh with you, Judd & Harlow. I do know that dealing with pain 24/7/365 is not easy, we have good days and not good days. So Thank you for all you do.

    Wish there was a ❤ button. So happy you had great results! I've suffered from migraines over 30 yrs, ankylising spondylitis for 20 yrs, and central pain syndrome over 10 years. I totally understand your joy. I've also been researching ketamine. Thank you (Jaquie & Judd) so much for documenting and sharing your experience. You answered a lot of my questions. Best wishes for much continued healing and new adventures!

      So thrilled I could answer your questions! As for the migraines, I get the 3-4 times a week very severely without my preventative. With my preventative, I only have then a few times a month, but I have breakthrough head pain (not migraine level) pretty often. Since the Ketamine I have not had a head ache!

    So happy the injections worked!! And woo hoo to low or no pain. Yep my husband said I sang "you are my sunshine" a bunch when I came out of surgery. Sometimes quiet and sometimes loud. It is ok. And I kept talking about Strawberry Shortcake. So yes anesthesia makes me loopy. Not a chronic illness warrior (it was orthognastic surgery to fix my jaw so I could eat without choking and my teeth are now perfectly straight!). So glad you and Judd and Harlow are doing well!

    So glad your pain is gone, and I hope that it lasts a long time, even if it just gives you less pain later on (like if you have a day or two of no pain, than a few weeks of lower than normal pain). Also glad that as a bonus you found an anesthetic that just gives you sort of uncomfortable side effects that also causes stuff to laugh about (you screaming INSIDE when Judd said to use your inside voice was adorable.) Being a little loopy is much better than waking up puking and in fight or flight.

    Jaquie I am excited for you as you are! I have had the Ketamine infusions for a little over a year. It is amazing to feel no pain. I've yelled it too. Make sure you don't over do it. Enjoy yourself. My infusions last about 4 months and I am back to a level 10. I get 500mg of Ketamine over a 5 hour infusion and three days in a row. It takes about a week for the loopy to wear off of me. Actually, I am getting ready to post my vlog about my latest infusion round. I'm so happy for you. Oh yes, I take Maisie, my service dog with me. On Ketamine I get anxiety and they give me versed and valium to calm me down and with Maisie it took less calm me down drugs.
