I am redoing my sewing area. My rulers are very accessible in an old CD rack on its side from ikea. This works really well but it does take up table space so I think I will make one of these today. Thanks for the idea!
I finished mine today! Thanks so much for the idea. Took three days because I raided my box of vintage embroidery templates made from Irish linens so I had to do at least a tiny bit of embroidery (the rest I coloured in with pencils 😁). My "stiffening" agent is a big piece of felt that has been clogging up my wardrobe for years. I wish I could show it off here. It's not as polished as yours, but quite vintagey pretty...if I may say so myself 😉
If you don’t have an IKEA nearby, you could just hang the holder from a skirt hanger, without needing the straps. Or, make straps with a snap or Velcro, and loop them over a hanger that has a bottom bar.
That fabric was from a bolt of drapery fabric that was given to me. I made drapes for our bedroom and had this panel left over. It really was a beauty!
Hi Catherine, just seeing this video for the first time, although I’ve been following you for a few years. It’s great, thanks. I’m going to make one for my biggest rulers and another one for smaller ones. I have a question about the stand you are using for your iPhone, can you tell me the name of it or where you got it? Thanks again for all you do!
Thank you so much for this tutorial!! I did a variation of this and it came out great!! Now my rulers have a home and they’re not cluttering up my space. ( :
You are so much more comfortable and articulate in front of the camera now 💗
Thank you! This will be my next sewing project and it saves my husband the job of drilling holes in the wall.🌷
Wonderful! I still use mine every day and I love it! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Loved this video! Repurposed my Rice burlap bag to create one.
What a great idea! I love that!

Great holder for all your rulers.

That thick white fabric with embossed design is beautiful. Where did you get them? Thanks.
