Thanks for the closeups :) another point about the earliest motors - the A and B on the baseplate doesn’t match the A and B of the silver blocks. This seems to have been a mistake which they fixed on the newer motors. It’s also important to get the magnet housing the right way around, otherwise the motor runs in reverse :)

Yep, the motor blocks not matching is something I've noticed as well, and it's only on the early motors. And yes if you reverse the housing the motor will indeed run in reverse, there was a thread on Eurobricks a while back about that because someone glued their motor together with the housing in reverse and were confused about why it ran backwards :/

Great video! I published the first video on fixing one, and then you came from behind and uploaded a way better video than mine. Definitely a sub.

@@Reker1million You make so much amazing content. I just got my 12v layout set up, and it works really well. Keep up the great work!

Hello great video of my locomotive 7730, the motor is defective, I also have a replacement, could you show me how to open the motor without damaging it LG Marinus

Hi, thanks for the comment! I did another (longer) video about opening a red motor a while back (ua-cam.com/video/LtkAYPd3Et4/v-deo.html), maybe this will help. You'll need a very sharp blade and I would recommend a custom jig like I use made from Legos. It can be a little tricky to open it perfectly, I caused some scratches to the bottom of that black motor when opening it.

Hello, may I ask how to disassemble the bottom of the train to replace the new magnet and electric particles, because I worked so hard last night to disassemble the bottom cover of the train

Hey, do you mean the actual DC motor assembly?

You shared the video explaining the internal structure of the Lego train. I want to know how to easily install the bottom door of the train and replace the four magnets.
