Rinpochhe gave teachings to the public, students and faculty members of Sherubtse College. Rinpochhe emphasized on how vital religion is in one's life. "Generally all religions are important but if there are too many in a country or a community, it may cause disharmony amongst the people.", said Rinpochhe. "Leaving your root religion for some other religion is very bad because you are abandoning your own deities and Buddha which your ancestors followed till now."
Rinpochhe also said that in a small country like Bhutan, too many religions might not be good as it would create gap and division between friends, family, and community. It is therefore better for any country to have less or for that matter, one religion. "Lesser the number of religions, more the harmony and peace in the country. Hence, it becomes the responsibility of every Bhutanese to protect and follow the religions we have in Bhutan." Rinpochhe said.
