Awww. Its going to be ok mom. My mama cried all the way back home after dropping me (her first born son) off to college. I was saddened as well. But it slowly became the norm and routine and she was overjoyed when I graduated. I said all of that to say it will get better and I wish yall the best. ❤

I know how you feel sis. We just dropped off our youngest daughter at the University of Alabama last month and she is our last one. My husband and I are now empty nesters. Since being home I've cried in her room a couple of nights. I'm all good now. Praying for our babies!

Hey Tracie! I really loved this vlog! Congratulations to Isaiah on his graduation and entrance/move in to ASU! What a blessing and huge accomplishment! My husband and I watched as we ate breakfast this morning and we reminisced on when took our daughters to college. They are 4 years apart. I thought I was going to lose it… both times we dropped each of them off. They are now both college graduates and wonderful productive citizens with families and we couldn’t be any more proud of them than we are! But I feel you Sis! Those were some very sad but happy moments in time that we will never forget!

That's the truth @cleaning. I literally washed the walls with a Swiffer and Pine Sol in my son's dorm rooms each year. Freshman year I saw dust on the walls and that was it for me. Deep cleaning every year, regardless of how clean it looked. He's a senior at AAMU this year. Thank you so much for the vids of Jalyn's experience there. They were very helpful to us.

Tracie, girl, why do you have me crying watching this video?! I'm sad with you. I know it was very difficult dropping off Isaiah to begin his adult life. The "Empty Nest" syndrome/phase is NO JOKE. It's a bittersweet experience. I've watched people go and GET through it. It's a hard one... Don't listen to anyone who tells you not to cry, and merely, "Get over it." Not everyone is close to his/her children, or even love them; some people want their kids to go and are glad to see them go. I can tell you some stories about some people I know who are emotionally disconnected from their kids, and were therefore, nonchalant about their kids leaving home... Take as much time as you need to process, encourage and strengthen yourself through this period. I'm sure your husband is hurting, too. You guys will get through this together, with God in the center of it all. It'll be a time of great discovery, growth, development and evolution.
My sisters of my youngest nieces and nephews were dreading this phase, but were saved by the pandemic. Their kids remained at home and had to, or could do virtual/remote learning for their first couple of years.
With all of this said, Congratulations to you and your husband for raising such intelligent and wonderful children! Congratulations to Isaiah as he embarks on his college journey-my University of Michigan college years were some of the VERY BEST years of my life. GO BLUE!
As you already know with Jalyn, the years are going to fly by. Before you know it, Isaiah will be graduating from college.
Buc-ee's: Girl, let me tell you... A few months ago, I was lamenting in nostalgia about going to Buc-ee's. My family would stop there during road trips when we were traveling south on our family vacations. I kept seeing TikTok videos about Buc-ee's, which got me so excited, but sad at the same time. I had resolved that I would probably never go to Buc-ee's again, since I don't foresee my family taking any more road trips to the south any time soon. I was like, "Oh, well..."
So, you KNOW the God we serve right?! ... A few weeks ago, I came across a news article that showed up in my feed. Why is Buc-ee's building a location on the land that used to occupy my favorite shopping mall back-in-the-day in MICHIGAN?! Girl, I was SHOCKED and SPEECHLESS! I was beyond excited and ecstatic when I read the news!
I told my Mom what is even more EPIC about the Buc-ee's Michigan location is it's not being built off of a major travel highway like the other Buc-ee's locations. It's being built in a suburb of Detroit that is enclosed within a popular suburban shopping area. God went ALL OUT to bless me with my Buc-ee's location! I can spend the whole day there! When we stopped at Buc-ee's while on the road, we would be there for hours. It's sooo huge and has so much to see, buy and eat there that one could easily be there all day. We travel with a convoy of many vehicles. Hence, it would be fun and convenient for all of us to be able to pull up together at the gas pumps. It's such a welcomed coincidence that you referenced Buc-ee's in this video.

Yes- my husband misses him a bit more than he thought he was going to and it’s a bit more of an adjustment than we initially thought- he is truly missed! 💗We think he’s getting used to it pretty well. @@traciesplace You're welcome, Tracie! I'm happy Isaiah is adjusting well. I'm sure you guys will attend family/parents weekend, which should be coming up soon-if not already. Then, he'll be home for Thanksgiving, which will be here before you know it. After that, he'll take his finals and will be home in the A-clause of December.
And, YESSSS, to the Ohio Buc-ee's as well! TRUST ME: You guys will be able to spend the entire day there-if need be. When we would stop at Buc-ee's, we would be there for HOURS, although we only planned to be there for an hour!
We have one here in Jacksonville. They are good and have great food. Not your average gas station . I tell you that.

? on the twin bed its just the mattress thats xl correct the frame will be the regular twin frame...because Baby that headboard is in my future project 🤣...like you said concrete is cold ❄ air
Yesss, lol You definitely need to block that cold concrete air 😅 The width of the bed is the same as a regular twin but the length of the frame fits the mattress pretty decent length wise. I had to wedge that headboard in there 👍🏽
How you tried the brisket
Did they renovate MLK? My son graduated from ASU IN 2023 and I don’t remember any of the freshman male dorms looking like that. Only Facility 1 & 2 were the better upperclassman dorms.

Hi there! Abercrombie is somewhat outdated, MLK is not bad and Card may be the best for freshman. Facility #1 as I understand is the best one. Dunn is pretty decent.
