i cant get the depth of black colour back on my car after i colour sanded and buffed, seems impossible to get that wet look back,i can get perfect mirror image but NOT deepness of black back. Anyone know how to do it?
SP330Y: If you used 3M's failed system of 1500 grit to 3000 grit... you are probably going to have problems. If you did that sanding dry, you will definitely have problems. Going from 1500 to 3000 doesn't work very well. Also, you need a super fresh piece of 3000 to have a chance of removing the 1500 scratches. On top of that, the 3000 trizact is SUPER EXPENSIVE. 3M usually makes really good products. However, this buffing system has several flaws that make it fail 9 times out of 10. It is not very "user friendly" to anyone whom lacks expert training and years of experience (which means that it doesn't work out very well at your typical body shop that is staffed by drunks and drug addicts). Of course, the type or brand of clear coat you are buffing will also have a tremendous effect on your results. Which only further exacerbates the problem. I would imagine the sanding method is the cause of your problems. I would suggest wet sanding with 1500-2000 grit and then use 2500 or 3000. 3000 seems to be a little to "fine". It works... but you really need the experience with it to get good results. Most products can handle removing a 2500 scratch. So I usually finish with 2500 grit.
@@fwh79FOXR6 your comment made laugh🤣 many bodyshops do have meth addicts, pot smoking drunks or inexperienced illegals who just came from a landscaping trade

nah this is the last step of the system. the caps are colored to the steps of process white, black and blue. the blue is typically only used to get rid of swirls in dark colors. the white cap is cutting compound, good for very minor scratches and stains. black cap or polish is to smooth compound scratches. but only on really dark colors would you be able to see swirls or scratches left by the polish. its a little pricey but ive used it for many years and have never had a problem with the perfect-it system.

Kev Wilding: Good answer! This stuff is hard to work with a buffer. I don't see it working by hand very well!
