Let's review the anatomy of the larynx on CT and barium swallow. We'll cover laryngeal anatomy, focusing on the hyoid bone, epiglottis, and the thyroid, cricoid and arytenoid cartilages.
I show you how to differentiate the true and false vocal cords. We also divide the larynx into three laryngeal spaces (used for staging laryngeal cancer): the supraglottic, glottic and subglottic spaces.

Not sure if the question banks are for you?
If you're here, you're likely studying for a radiology physics exam. I've spent the last few months collating past papers from multiple different countries selecting the most commonly asked questions. You'll be surprised how often questions repeat themselves!
The types of questions asked in FRCR, RANZCR AIT, ARRT, FC Rad Diag (SA), ABR qualifying Core Physics and MICR part 1 are surprisingly similar and the key concepts remain the same throughout. I've taken the most high-yield questions and answered them in video format so that I can take you through why certain answers are correct and others are not.
Happy studying,
Michael

Going through different modalities for the same structures is very helpful. Hope to see more of this. Great video as always.
Good to hear. I've been thinking of mixing modalities more (just makes the video so long). But I think it helps cement the anatomy better 🤷🏻♂️
@@radiologytutorials thanks sir😌
I cant thank you enough sir.
Please never stop making these videos.
Thank you Maryam 🙏🏻
Love how you make all complex things simple & understandable by putting everything in right order and overlooking unnecessary details.
Brilliant use of 3D pix and correlating all modalities to have a clear concept of basic anatomy .
Keep up the good work. Bless you 🙂
Thank you Mehreen! 😀
Thank you Mehreen! 😀
Michael, thank you so much for your anatomy videos. I'm currently studying for my radiation oncology part 1 exams in anatomy, physics and radiobiology. These videos are truly amazing and make complex anatomy very straight forward. I can't wait for the next larynx anatomy video. I'd love to see more head and neck anatomy videos (triangles of the neck, oral cavity, tongue, oropharynx, hypopharynx, PPF).
Great, with the diversity of teaching from the kind teachers like you, learning becomes easier.
Amazing videos for radiology residents! Thank you! It would be great if you could use a larger laser pointer font. For those like me watching on our phones, there were multiple times I had to pause and find your pointer and rewind to really know what you were pointing too. Keep the videos coming!
Thank you Dtran! Excellent suggestion. Got a new laptop and the cursor has changed to this small black one. Will ensure it’s the usual white cursor.I found I struggled to follow even when editing. Appreciate the feedback 🙌🏼
Amazing video, laryngeal anatomy has been a stumbling block for me for years. I hope this video will make neck cases a little easier.
Thank you! Haha, I wish neck cases got easier 🥴 Glad this was helpful.
Amazing video Michael. Thank you very much!

Thank you again Michael, made anatomy as it should be, logical in all senses.
Thank you Julio. I really appreciate all your positive feedback. I hope you’re well 🙂

Dr.Michael are you British?
I wanted to know the preparation strategy and resources for FRCR 2b rapid reporting. I am having difficulty in improving my scores
Hi 👋 I’m South African 🇿🇦
I have not written the 2B yet so can’t be of much help there unfortunately. There are some good lectures on the SRT UA-cam channel which may be a good place to start.
@radiologytutorials Allan Donald the great South African bowler was one my favorites. The most beautiful bowling action in the history of cricket
Me too! Absolutely loved Allan Donald - used to put suncream on my face just like him growing up 😅 where are you from?
I like your videos, but why all of it so quiet, I can barely hear in headphones with max volume…
Thank you Elias. Had major audio issues. Especially this video. I can hear it well on my side but it seems recently people are experiencing very low sound - especially on the we older videos. Unfortunately there’s no way for me to increase it on my side but will upload newer videos with higher volume.
Very very helpful, thank you
Yay! I'm glad it was helpful Priya 😊
