🤦♂️ Energy subsidies, increased childcare support, direct advocacy for minimum wage rise, robodebt inquiry and ongoing criminal investigations, amendment to the Stage 3 tax cut, anti-corruption commission, multinational tax avoidance etc etc etc….. you watch waaaaaay too much SkyNews mate.
You bet he is. The RBA standing firm until underlying inflation is in the target band has been a point of contention for Labor for quite a few months. Chalmers thinks manipulating the metrics equates to good economics but the opposite it true.
It can pull the tricks in the book. We aussies are well over Labor. So dropping hecs debt . Having 2 rba boards won't cut it. Even a rate cut won't save Labor. Their out.
To do the RBA Board restructure at this time is suspicious to say the least. Keeping the existing structure, which includes governance, will 'keep the bastards honest'. It's what Charmers is 'not' saying is what I'm interested in. He is not being open or elaborate on the reasons/benefits for the restructure and he said nothing about the nature new board members, are they economically conservative on setting interest rates? He said they are the 'best' for the job, well what does that mean? Best for Labor interest or best for economic management, keeping interest rate commensurate with inflation or commensurate with Labor forecasts? I don't trust Labor, noting how they have not been open on the true cost of renewables and rubbishing nuclear without reason or explaining why it's rubbish, they just say it is. Labor say they care about the Jewish situation but then their acts are not in line with the rhetoric. How can you trust what they say and what they are not saying?
What a pointless exercise. Labor is gone. Interest rates have been far too high for far too long on their watch. They are to blame, along with the RBA. Banks have got rich on the backs of mortgage holders. No one will vote for you Labor. The rate cut wil be welcome though. Labor should have taxed the banks and redistributed the money to mortgage holders through rebates. Banks have enough money, why didn't they target corporate executives and politicians instead. They have money to give to help keep interest rates down. I haven't seen them suffering any pain because of the cost of living crisis. Come up with some actual vision Labor and maybe we will vote you back in some time in the future.. but probably not.
‘Banks have enough money’… sounds like… SOCIALISM! Don’t let the conservative chimps ay Sky News see that comment. Also, taxing the banks and giving the money back to mortgage holders is a rate cuts with extra steps. In no way will that help.
He want a rate cut before the next election, but I can tell you Jim, your out, fired, sacked, get out
Snake charmer stacking RBA so Labor gets a rate cut b4 the election? How low can they go? 🙄🙄
That’s a lie. If there was any evidence Dutton would be jumping at the chance to refer him to the corruption commission.
Albo giving billions overseas and not taking care of the Australian people..
🤦♂️

😂😂
Are we shocked? Of course he is and it 's not dissimilar to Albanese stacking the deck with Mostyn!
That’s a lie. If there was any evidence the LNP would refer him to the anti corruption commission.
excellent point ☝️💯✅👍
And their goes the Oz $$!

What do you expect from the labour rabble ?
economic vandalism
Hi quality hi calibre, all carefully vetted to ensure they will follow Jim's agenda , so transparent. 😂
That’s a lie. If there was any evidence the LNP would refer him to the anti corruption commission.
‘I’m not opposed to there being two boards but the LNP should have a veto on board members’
Thanks Sky News. More quality ‘journalism’
Blind Freddy can see exactly what you are doing mate...

If Chalmers spent some time doing his job instead of dreaming up smart arsed schemes he wouldn’t have created such a mess of this economy
Government doesn’t run the economy. Don’t comment on things you don’t understand
Jimbo's secret trip to China successfully collected many brown paper bags
Who's the worst: Jimbo, Pallas or good ol'Swanno?😂😂😂
Danger, danger
Warning.. Warning..
Ideology versus substance. Nothing new to see hear, next please.
Too little too late
That’s what LNP did, projection at its best
They are banking of one rate cut. Is this government for real?
100% The reason. He needs control of the RBA. Bullock is not playing ball with Labor.
Give us a rate cut but come the election, it wont change anything, you will still be voted out.
Bet this is just a political move . Not for the good of Australia
He wants Greg Combie in charge of RBA
Put it to a vote from the Australian people, it would never pass. Just criminal
As if a rate cut is going to make any difference to all the damage you've caused our economy, Chalmers!
If he forces RBA to cut with the current inlfation and economy, be prepared for the AUD collapse.
All planned to steal Super and implement Universal Basic Income. (Because of the Silver Tsunami).
