  • Series : Spirituality made Simple ( SMS)
This journey is inspired to bring out the complex concepts in our Upanishads in a format which is easy to understand and practice!
There are always questions around what is Spirituality? Is it for everyone? This video covers all of that and more.
Spirituality is our essence, our inherent nature. All we need is to rediscover that essence again.
The talks are inspired by the teachings of Swami Paramatmananda, Swami Tadatmananda, Swami Sarvapriyananda, Om Swami and many more. My deep obeisance to each one of them.
Being a part of self-study groups Parama Vedanta (initiated by Dr. Thimappa Hegde) & Svadhayaya had further enriched my journey and I’m ever grateful for that.

It is a good introductory one. However, I respectfully disagree with the statements made at 5:45 and 7:55 - "That we have forgotten our true nature"
Forgetting implies - that we lost memory of something we knew previously at some point of time. Life points to a different scenario. Nobody at any point is ever aware of their true nature until pointed out by a Guru/Vedanta. So there is no question of forgetting something that we knew.
In accordance with the law of manifestation, ignorance is natural and is conferred on all "individuals". When we are born, we are IGNORANT about various things outside of us. As we get older, we gather knowledge and shed ignorance about various things. Similarly, when we are "born", deep within us and shared by the entire humanity, there is ignorance about our true nature. But under the GUIDANCE OF A GURU, we shed our ignorance, "gain" "self-knowledge" and cognize our true nature. In the culmination of our knowledge, we find ourselves in the TRUE HOME OF I, transcending both ignorance and knowledge. In that final understanding, both ignorance and knowledge get sublated.

Great Effort. Vedantham is intrinsically very very difficult. The anomaly in modern science is like quantum field theory or superstrings. You have made an effort to bring down Himalayas. I wish you all success.

I would submit to you that Vedanta is not difficult. Afterall, it is about the true nature of ourselves. What is needed is sincere MUMUKSHUTVA and a TRUE GURU; these are absolutely essential. Under the guidance of a GURU, we reason on FACTS OF HUMAN EXPERIENCE SHARED BY THE ENTIRE HUMANITY and arrive at the TRUTH. This is within the reach of most of humanity.
