I love this project! It's great your son is such a reader, and there is so much room for new books as he grows!

Love your design of this shelf. Your son will get many years of use of it as he grows up.

I saw a similar design for a sewing room selling for $300 on Amazon. What a great gift for your son.

@Anikasdiylife thanks for the lesson. You can make a similar build for your workshop! Instead of shelves for books use French cleats or drill holes for peg board hooks!
I recently had to plaster a room...I hate plastering corners...very similar to caulking which I also hate. I'm a Jill of all trades and love a good Jerry rig! I find sometimes my hobbies can cross over so to speak. I love to bake and decorate besides woodworking.
I filled a disposable icing bag and extra tip with the plaster!! Not only did I complete the plaster in the corner in less than 3 minutes...yes I said less than 3 minutes!...but the plastering was far more accurate and way less sanding! You could potentially do the same with edging the plywood. Simply use a flat tip on the icing bag.
I recently saw a video where the guy somehow attached a drill to the end of the caulking gun and when he pulled the trigger it forced the caulking out quickly. I wish I could recall how he did it...caulking guns are really hard on my arthritis.

Hi, wonder what are the final dimensions of this project and if possible to scale down if necessary!

Brilliant project--but easy?? Looks easy for YOU, but not for a mere mortal like myself.

I believe you can do it too! We're both mere mortals :D

You'd have to invest quite a bit in all those tools! I wish I had all that.

  • @NilanjanSaha

I guess the tools used will collectively cost double of my entire year's salary.

I'm so sorry! You don't need ALL the tools to get started, if there are tools out of your price range you can maybe borrow or rent them? share them with family or friends? Wishing you the best
