Your lamp shades are so worth it!!! Love your style so much. Our bedroom is still a riot of kid's and grandkid's artwork and projects. But we have managed to create a lovely minimal muted backdrop...now inspired to finish it in French Provincial...thank you!
Thank you for the sweet comment. I do love those lamp shades even though they cost me a kidney 😀 And there is nothing better than personal artwork from the kiddos. I think it actually works if you frame them. Thank you for being here with us ❤
Your videos always inspire me to work on mine. I started in my spare room but i think my bedroom is so much more needed. It's a very slow process for me! Your bedroom looks so relaxing.
Decorating is definitely a process and it takes time to collect all the pieces and finishing touches. I know I'm guilty of letting our master bedroom suffer because guests never see it. Since I did this new refresh, everything just feels more relaxed and calm. Take your time and work one area at a time. Even small progress will feel like a victory!
Your bedroom looks beautiful and so do the lamps! I'm always using either whites or taupe for bedding and I also put an extra blanket of a contrasting color that coordinates with a color of the painting towards the feet of the bed, for a splash of color. Classics never go out of style and I don't follow trends either.
Thank you for your sweet comment. I truly appreciate it ❤ Neutrals work so well as a backdrop and those pops of color are like icing on a cake. You room sounds beautiful. I'm trying so hard to keep the new house classic, because the last thing I want is to wake up 10 years from now and want to rip everything out. Trends can be so fun, but they can break your bank in the long run. We truly appreciate you being with us!
I absolutely love your master bedroom. Those lamps are truly gorgeous and I'm so glad you got them. I also love the chairs you have next to the bed by the windows. I sure hope you find out about what to do to your black chest. We have black nightstands and I cannot keep them free of dust. Of course, having the dogs in there with us doesn't help. Thank you for sharing your beautiful (rental) home with us. I can't wait to see your gorgeous new French Country/Provincial Home. Hope to see you both again soon. Lisa B.
Ahhh, thank you so much! I do love that blue and it really worked well with those amazing lamps. I feel so lucky to have found those. That's why I love to hit up antique and vintage shops every other week because you just never know what you can find and for such a good cost too!! I'm looking forward to our new house so much, I can't even tell you. We have so many projects planned to share. Keep your fingers crossed we get it started within the next 6 months. At least that is the plan!! Thank you for being with us and for your kindness ❤
@@the_dauer_diaries your home is going to be gorgeous. Look what you have done with where you are staying. It's beautiful. I wish you could have seen us in our rental while building. We never even set up our bed - mattress and box springs on the floor - LOL - packed boxes everywhere. We've moved six times over the years and I just didn't want to unbox and box up one more time.
@@bomashishalisa6434 Lol...what you don't see is the bonus room upstairs 😁 Its chucked full of boxes, furniture, and who knows what else 😀 This next move will be our 7th move 🤦♀️ It's definitely getting harder and harder to unpack and re-pack, but this is our final home and I can't wait to be in it!!
I always buy Noble Excellence at Dillards. I have 6 sets and love them. Sateen and percale. They wear well. I take my lamps to a lamp repair shop and purchase the shades and light bulbs.
Thank you so much for sharing your favorite sheets. I really do struggle to find some I like because everything seems to be polyester/rayon and even though they are really soft, they make for a very hot sleeping experience. I never even thought about checking a lamp repair shop for lamp shades. I'll definitely keep that in mind because we have another two sets of vintage lamps we picked up for $10 at an estate sale. So excited about those too!! Truly appreciate your help and comment ❤
Thank you!! Every time I walk into the room and see those lamps I smile. Hope you like the sheets. We are really enjoying ours. They are really thick and heavy. May not be a summer sheet but they feel so wonderful and luxurious. Let me know how you like them.
Oh, yes, I love those velcro strips, but I did have a heavier piece of art fall once and I try to only use them for smaller pictures now. It broke my frame and it made me sad. But I do love them and those are absolutely perfect for renting. Thank you for suggesting it. Hope all is well for you ❤
The bedroom is gorgeous! Not overdone but just right. Absolutely beautiful!
Thank you!! That is so sweet. I do love how it all came together and it makes me smile now every time I walk in the room. Thank you for watching ❤

Gorgeous as always! I love the blue sheets and the lamps turned out great!
Thank you so much! You made my day ❤

Lovely !
You made my day!! Thank you ❤
Beautiful! Made the room look so cozy. I wound up ordering those sheets. I have a hard time finding ones I like.

Have you considered using the command velcro strips to hang up pictures in the rental? I've used those before to avoid putting more holes in my walls.
