- Calty Design Research President Kevin Hunter introduces the Toyota FT-1 sports car concept at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Jan. 13, 2014. First devised by Calty in Sony PlayStation's Gran Turismo 6, the name FT-1 stands for "Future Toyota," and the number "1" represents the ultimate. According to its designers at Calty Design Research, the FT-1 Concept is the ultimate expression of a Toyota coupe design, building upon Toyota's rich sports coupe heritage dating back to the 2000GT, Celica, Supra, MR2 and most recently Scion FR-S. Aladár Mező Toyota choose the wrong way,they had the perfect design that put ft1 in categorie of supercars,they throw it away,destroyed the the future and honor of the supra,and this partnership with bmw,bmw engine in flagship car instead of development of your own 😔

We need badly TOYOTA FT-1 as a production car (just like LC 500). Pure beauty somehow lost in current SUPRA. (well shaped but not on apex level of FT-1)

Don't change a thing this design is perfect, keep an I6-TT (500-600hp), make it $60-80k, and comparable specs to a GTR and Vette = Success

That rear view ,when the spoiler comes up , does remind me of the sexy back from the previous Supra. What a great view. It instantly made me smile :)

a button that when you press it increases the ride height only at low speed for road bumps and bips when you forget to turn it off after 1-2 min.

Just downloaded and played the FT-1 on Gran Turismo 6! Awesome!
Tyler: Although what you're saying does make some sense, 90s import turbo engines were a lot sturdier than some of today's turbo engines. For example, the Evo 9 and older models had a 4G63, cast iron block, and tough enough for at least 500awhp. The latest Evo 10 (4B11) engine would have to be built to run >370awtq. Supras inline 6 (2JZ-GTTE) was insane. You could run 800rwhp on the stock block. ...sometimes car companies go backwards in certain aspects of a car in order to advance them to meet emissions standards, and other non-tuner friendly mods.

Very slim chance that even if Toyota decides to make one it will look anything like this. It's a concept-- just meant to whet the appetite and gauge consumer interest.
My prediction is, IF they decide to make a coupe, it will look nothing like this and cost somewhere in the territory of 40k and try and offer an alternative to the mustang, camaro and 370z. No way Toyota makes a super car out of it-- they know their market and they need something exciting and attainable to get some excitement back in the showroom.

AIR CONDITIONER
1) Can you build an air conditioner and heater with close air circulation by default? No air from outside by default… and no air leaks from engine section either. Every car has windshield blowing only by outside air. I would prefer to warm or cool air only from inside of the car.
2) Is it possible to build into AC the electrical heater for a cold start to have a hot air right away without waiting when an engine warms up (with automatic and/or manual control)?
