The Kmart watches used to be so much better…that square one looks pretty good! I love them, they are cheap and are a great watch, they can take a lot of damage. The battery life is about 3 years on my older anko watch so far.

This looks like a square G-SHOCK, and has nice features. But Casio will always be Casio…

haha, cool review, saved me 30 dolalars. Are the screen made of plastic or mineral glass? Are the buttons plastic or metal? I wonder what the insides are like, are you willing to do a tear down of the square?
Plastic screen, metal bottoms I believe.

Yeah, but how durable are these watches? Have you done running, swimming, hiking with them...does they take knocks etc? Those are things to review. None of your review helped me make a call over whether I should get the batter changed on my g-shock or just get one of these instead
Can't compare these to G-Shocks for durability,
These wouldn't last 1 day I rough conditions, don't buy these if you already have a Gshock that needs a battery.
Bottom line is G-Shocks are great quality and last forever, these Kmart watches are rubbish
Both of the watches in this review have since gone to the trash

@rhiannoningoe747 not in that price range, assuming your in Australia you would be better off with one of the budget Casio watches.
Thanks for that review. I found your comment on the straps most helpful. In the olden days the straps would be much better. I can remember getting one at Tandy in the 80's for $3 and it had a metal band with a clip clasp. At least with the square one you might be able to replace it. Doesn't look likely with the round one due to the means of attachment.

my kmart watch won't stop making the hourly chime no matter what I do
Yeah they do that, mine is the same
Have you tried pressing and holding the reset button and at the same time press the start button? I can turn my supposed hourly chime on and off doing this, but when the chime is activated I can't hear it, so I don't bother.
