Even though I missed the premiere, it really doesn't matter. This documentary is worth watching for anyone who is interested in logos like these. I'm genuinely impressed. Keep up the good work. :)
If I remember correctly, The Daisy Of Doom Variant with the 1995 logo theme was due to some really bad plastering. I kinda got confused by that and the music is in -1 sepia-tone. Nevertheless, Great Job Cam. 10/10
Great video! You are a great logo content creator, and I hope to see more of this great content! As a logo enthusiast, I feel being part of this logo community is something I would have done a long time ago if I had known. Keep up the great work!
Excellent documentary about the secrets of Gaumont. These logos from Gaumont are too confusing. The Gaumont” with a “G” was way before Google, because of the “G”. Remember the song by Miquel Brown called “So Many Men, So Little Time”? This is what they called “So Many Gaumont Logo’s, So Little Time”. What’s kinda interesting is the Gaumont British logo, or the “GB Daisy” can also be found on home movie prints of the ComiColor cartoons by Ub Iwerks which was distributed by Castle Films in the US, and it was distributed by Gaumont British for UK distribution as part of “Movie Paks” 8mm and 16mm prints as well as 9.5mm Pathe prints if you are in the UK for home movie use. In addition, Gaumont British also distributed the Terrytoons from the US when it was under Castle Films and it was distributed through the UK. There is a short film which was originally distributed by Castle Films in the US, the UK home movie print was from Movie-Paks which was part of GB which was Gaumont British without the “Daisy”. It has the opening the closing titles that you see in the UK print since they plastered the Castle Films logo. This is something you didn’t covered on “Secret Logos of Gaumont 3” special. ua-cam.com/video/ZyfZHm3PoWk/v-deo.html And this one which was from a UK print of “Simple Simon” in Black & White which was originally in Cinecolor when it was under ComiColor, and it was reissued by Castle Films in 1945, but this opening and closing has the “GB Daisy” logo with “Movie-Paks” logo at the beginning, and at the end has “GB Equipments” logo with the disclaimer “Makers of 8mm and 16mm Movie-Paks”. Watch and see. ua-cam.com/video/z2z-jpFZSws/v-deo.html
I am so sorry you couldn't find a Gaumont-Eagle Lion logo, I was so looking forward to it. When I read about this union some many years ago, I pictured the G-EL logo to be more like the familiar E-L one we all know, but with the daisy in place of the shield.
I have Louis de Funès's Gaumont Movies because i am big fan of the French comedy actors "Louis de Funès", 1 Movie with 1946 logo, Is called The Overtaxed, 7 Movies with 1963 logo, They called Fantômas, Fantomas Unleashed, The Big Restaurant, Fantomas Against Scotland Yard, Oscar, Hibernatus & The orchestra man. 1 Movie with 1971 logo, Is called Delusions of Grandeur, I watched all opening of the movies but sadly all 9 Louis de Funès's Gaumont Movies are plastered with 1995 logo.
23:27 is the Gaumont Actualites, but there is a video of this courtesy of “Google Chrom”, but it isn’t the best quality due to lack of film scanning, but it was captured from a movie projector. This is just a portion of the Gaumont Actualites logo, but we don’t get a full logo, but it features the “G of Doom” that zooms in your face. Here it is! ua-cam.com/video/lu_qUQZDCmA/v-deo.html

Fun fact: The "1895" logo is actually a variant of the 1918 logo.
Good.
Interesting.
Yep, it is very coincidental
So, we can all say that the ELGÉ logo is the actual first Gaumont logo.
@@Yoshi9K yes, the ELGÉ Daisy is the first one.
Keep it up, CCG88. You're doing awesome.
Nice video! I love how you solved the PAX mystery!
Someone's FOUND The Weirdest Gaumont Logo In Existence!
,gaumont actualities's logo and the sunglobe 1 was first seen in 1942.
"... and their last film, which is a 49-minute film called Super-sonic Saucer (which has the Gaumont-British name in full), was released in 1956."

Maybe I could make a gaumont logo history with these newfound logos, just maybe.
32:35 That is a German poster of this 1979 film. Never seen the original (which is in French) poster.
