I have been following WASP since 1985....I was 16...I am 47 now and I still love his songs and the great transformations he makes in his music through the years....Live long, Blackie and Rock on....:)
100% agree. In the 80s, everyone else was listening to Motley Crue, Ozzy, Boy George and Michael Jackson. I was blaring WASP as loud as it would go. Initially part of the rebellious phases of my life I'm sure, but boy they did mature into one of the greatest bands of all time (IMO).
Thank you, Pam...I am glad to see that there are others who still keep the energy of the 80's talents alive...they worked hard and did not rely on computer effects or looks...their songs brought out the beauty in many ways...I had rebellious parts of me too as a teen due to having to fight off the racism and abuse from the 80's...but they were great times too as the songs gave me hope and the experience taught me how to stand up for myself and others who are experiencing the same thing or worse...some of these singers have died...we overlooked that as teenagers that one day they will die...but now as adults we know that they will never be forgotten.
How lucky you are. I was 15-16 as well when I have started listening to WASP, but I am 27 now. So, the golden years I have missed I have always thought.

If I remember correctly they've been making incredible music for decades now. The 80's 90s and even early 00s! Not just making some new songs but making great music! That's a band and Blackie is so underrated.

Wasp's best ballad by a mile. The Idol, Forever Free, Sleeping in the fire are up there too by nothing compares to this song. It's too bad that Blackie has never played it live.
